Hamas leaning toward accepting Trump's Gaza ceasefire plan quickly, source tells CBS News
Hamas and other Palestinian factions are leaning toward accepting President Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza, and they will present the group's response to Egyptian and Qatari mediators on Wednesday, a source close to the process told CBS News on Tuesday.

Ken, I watched the video, and honestly, in my view, these people are really sick and abnormal. It’s just disgusting. What else can you even say? I think once the troops move in, the scene will look a lot different. Trump has made it clear they have every right to defend themselves.
I’m hopeful this new peace plan will make a difference. However, I also wouldn’t be surprised if, behind closed doors, Trump told Netanyahu something like, “If they don’t take the plan, get the war over and do it fast,” if you know what I mean.
I guess in the next few days we will see some movement.
Laughing my freaking ass off because no one in that video was doing anything...
Ken,
More proof of what I've always stated.
The democrat left cares more about illegal aliens and criminals than they do legal immigrants and law-abiding American citizens.
They don't protest. They put on a show of stupid violence. They destroy things and hurt people.
The left is a cancer on our society.
Proof of what? No one was doing anything in that video but protesting... Actually a very paltry number of people LMFAO
"The left is a cancer on our society."
Beautiful sentiment... Please, tell us more of your Christianity...
Looks like Hamas may release the hostages... as well as the bodies of the dead. They have not committed unequivocally to a timeline or to full disarmament, which are points still under negotiation.
Trumpnomics...Get tariff money from US consumers on Chinese goods. Our farmers can’t sell their products because the Chinese refuse to pay our tariffs. China buys from farmers in Argentina instead. We send Argentina $20 billion. Then we pay our farmers to throw their crops away.
Trump fully believes his followers are legitimately stupid... that's all.
Today--- Oct 3 ---Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced on Friday the U.S. military conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a narcotrafficking vessel affiliated with Designated Terrorist Organizations traveling off the coast of Venezuela, killing four men aboard.
No U.S. forces were harmed in the U.S. Southern Command operation, which was ordered by President Donald Trump, according to Hegseth.
"The strike was conducted in international waters just off the coast of Venezuela while the vessel was transporting substantial amounts of narcotics—headed to America to poison our people," Hegseth wrote in an X post.
Trump is working hard on the cup half full.... Fewer drugs, fewer deaths. Finally, a president that is saying not "Don't" But "make my day!"
Lol Is that how it works?? Is that how addiction works? He should probably ask Bobby on addiction strategies.... Something he may actually be of help with... As a former heroin addict.... And actually Whiskey Pete also as an alcoholic
The cruelty IS the point...

Latest polling... Surprise surprise he's in the shitter....yeah Americans are much smarter and he thinks...

I like it! Most feel that they are worse off financially and the focus on lowering prices is not enough (as if government price controls have EVER worked!).
Meanwhile the country is out of money and Democrats refuse to supply any...unless we agree to increase spending by a Trillion dollars. Fiscal responsibility is something that is beyond their ability to understand - it is always, always "Give me more of your money" instead of "We have to stop spending more than we can afford".
Americans aren't trading their health for yet another unfunded tax break for the wealthiest... I don't know we're just crazy like that... Didn't work last time and won't work this time. We just aren't that stupid
Midterms are shaping up to be a bloodbath for this bunch....
LOL No one is asking for a tax break. All Republicans want is enough money to continue to operate just as we have been.
All Democrats want is to continue to operate just as we have been...PLUS another Trillion or so, when we can't afford what we already spend. Smart!
We aren't that stupid. When we're out of money we're out of money and recognize that, along with the quaint concept that we cannot increase spending when we have no money (or at least SHOULD not increase it).
Lol...the OBBB doesn't provide tax cuts that will benefit the top 1% of this country? Those tax cuts have to be paid for somehow...to help pay for over a trillion dollars of tax giveaways for people making over $500,000 a year, this travesty of a bill cuts over a trillion dollars from Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act....
And there you have it. You believe that the wealth that some have built actually belongs to you, to do with as you please (because, after all, your cause is just and good...in your eyes). Those people already pay far more than their share, to the tune of millions of dollars, but there is more and you want it.
I do not share that philosophy, believing that what a person builds or earns belongs to them instead of you. I doubt that we will ever agree on this; instead we will have to agree to disagree.
You are scrambling what I posted....as usual.
I do not support tax benefits, reductions for ONE group. That's it.
That's what I said; you think their money and wealth that they built actually belongs to you.
I disagree. And it doesn't matter whether that ONE group is all Americans or just the richest two in the country.
Dan, I completely agree with your perspective. In my view, those who believe the rich “owe” them are people who struggle to thrive on their own, and so they look to others to fund their way. In my view, they often have very low self-esteem and are perhaps consumed by a twisted form of jealousy.
Wealth, effort, and achievement are earned, and taking from those who build or create doesn’t fix anyone’s personal shortcomings; it only makes their shortcoming more obvious.
What does being uninsured have to do with "struggling to thrive"???
53% of Americans work at a job that provides some sort of access to healthcare... A lot of it very paltry.
So what exactly are you saying about the other 47%?? What exactly are their "personal shortcomings" as you state?
I don't know about low self esteem or jealousy; what I see is unending greed. Always demanding more than they have.
Very few people today live "worse" than my family (straight middle class) did as a child...but that doesn't stop them from demanding more than they can supply for themselves.

Pam ranted in front of the Senate yesterday, in one of the most embarrassing displays by a Trump regime member I’ve ever seen....And that’s a tall order.
It was like watching a Twitter troll testify, as Pam replied to every Dem Senators’ questions with low blows, toddler petulance and unhinged tirades. The highly scripted fake outrage from Republicans only made it worse. I truly felt that after every sentence, they were going to say: “And, scene!”
Nothing Pam said is worth repeating. She failed to answer serious questions about rampant corruption, Tom Homan’s $50,000 cash payment, and the prosecution of Trump’s enemies.
One thing is clear... Once the Trump regime is gone, the members of this DOJ will be investigated for years to come

After this, somehow we are all expected to just all get along?
Cred, interesting article.
I think what a lot of people on the right are trying to express, maybe not always perfectly, isn’t really about race at all. It’s about preserving the shared cultural values and work ethic that built this country in the first place: faith, family, self-reliance, respect for law, and pride in America. When people talk about “heritage Americans,” I think they’re often trying to emphasize that our nation wasn’t just an abstract idea; it was formed through a very specific culture that valued freedom and personal responsibility.
The left tends to hear that as exclusionary, but it doesn’t have to be. America has always welcomed those who come here legally and embrace those same values, no matter their ancestry. What worries many conservatives is that when we stop teaching those principles, or act as though they’re just relics of the past, we lose what unites us. It’s not about who your great-grandparents were; it’s about whether you believe in the same vision of America that made this country strong in the first place.
As for the article, I thought that you would like that.
Your response is more flowery oratory, what was it that was SAID, regardless of how you interpret their words?
Who are “heritage Americans” and why is that significant?
How can you possess an Anglo-Protestant spirit without being Anglo or Protestant?
Vice President J. D. Vance said that “people whose ancestors fought in the Civil War have a hell of a lot more claim over America than the people who say they don’t belong,” referring to those on the “modern left” who conceive of American identity “purely as an idea.
I doubt that there are many Americans today who can claim that their ancestors fought in the Civil War, and if they did, so, what, what distinguishes them from the rest of us? That is just another code word for white-Anglo-Saxon, Protestant, why not just come out and say it?
What about this:
C. Jay Engel, a self-described “heritage American” whom Politico credits as having helped popularize the term, has repeatedly said that he is not a “racial essentialist” and believes that “blacks of the Old South” and “integrated Native Americans” also count as heritage Americans. But he has also argued that “the majority of blacks have demonstrated that they cannot function within the old European cultural standards” and that the concept of heritage Americans affirms “the domination and pre-eminence of the European derived peoples, their institutions, and their way of life.”
I am not going to affirm the dominance or pre-eminence of European derived peoples, their institutions nor their way of life. Why would I accept my own subordination? The “old European cultural standard” basically comes down to not being white.
Yes, it was the culture that enslaved millions for their unjust gain and expropriated land without compensation, I guess that is freedom and personal responsibility?
—————
Despite your spin, Sharlee, it IS totally exclusionary.
————-
“Speaking with Engel reminded me at times of MacIntyre, Vance, and others who tend to speak in nativist terms. They frequently appeal to an idea that only some Americans are truly legitimate—and often this means Americans of European ancestry—while leaving room for enough plausible deniability to avoid seeming straightforwardly racist.”
That has to be part of the spin that the right is attempting to confuse me with.
My tribe, its blood and sacrifices makes them the real definition of American heritage and not just a “graft”.
====
“Heritage Americans is similarly “a framework that gestures to an intellectual justification for policy,” Nicole Hemmer, a historian at Vanderbilt who studies the right, told me. Taken to the extreme, some of these same ideas lead to remigration, the notion that nonwhite citizens who haven’t properly assimilated should be deported. Remigration has already gained traction among the nativist right in Europe. President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Stephen Miller have already floated the concept as a potential solution to what they see as America’s immigration problems, and in May, the State Department announced that as part of a pivot away from refugee resettlement within the U.S., it would create an Office of Remigration.”
Science fiction? Perhaps, but with the madness of today’s rightwinger and their insane ideas, this may well be within the realm of possibility.
This type of thinking and reasoning will not ever breach the current divide between us and if anything will guarantee that it becomes ever wider, which brings us closer to a dissolution of our society that I believe is not terribly far off.
According to these new rightwing concepts, it does matter who your great-grandparents were. And, you know what? We all do not have to believe in the same things in the same way to claim the American birthright, irregardless of “heritage”.
Cred, I appreciate the time you took to share such a detailed reply, but I think you may have misunderstood the spirit of what I said. My comment wasn’t meant to defend or echo the rhetoric of any one person or group, nor to justify racial superiority or exclusion. It was my own view of what many ordinary Americans, myself included, mean when we talk about preserving our nation’s cultural foundation.
And yes, I probably do come off a bit “flowery” when I share my views. That tends to happen when I’m trying to dig deep into what I truly feel. I think when someone speaks from the heart, about values, culture, or identity, it can naturally sound a little more reflective or emotional. That’s not spin, it’s sincerity.
When I refer to “heritage Americans,” I’m not talking about ancestry, race, or bloodlines. I’m talking about a set of values that shaped the country: faith, family, hard work, self-reliance, respect for law, and pride in being an American. Those values are not owned by any race or religion; they’re principles that anyone can adopt and live by.
Yes, some people twist those ideas into something ugly or nativist, and I reject that just as strongly as you do. But I also think it’s unfair to assume that everyone who speaks about heritage or shared values is doing so with racial motives. My concern is about what happens when we stop teaching the cultural and moral framework that united such a diverse population for generations. Without that shared understanding, all we have left is division.
To me, real inclusion means holding everyone to the same standards and believing that anyone, no matter their background, can embody the same vision of America that made this country strong in the first place.
It is obvious that your views on this diverge from the policy position expressed in the article. That is the understanding I get from your comments.
If this policy statement comes from the rightwing intelligensia, what am I to believe as to their ultimate motives beyond your opinion?
Cred, almost missed your reply. Yes, my views do differ somewhat from the policy position in the article. I try to look at these issues from multiple angles rather than accept any position at face value, whether it comes from the right or the left. As for motives, I think it’s always wise to question them, from all sides, before forming a final opinion.
Trump bailing out soybean farmers who wouldn’t have needed the bailout if Trump’s tariffs weren’t instituted in the first place.....
TELL ME MORE ABOUT WHAT WE CAN'T AFFORD
Trump’s tariffs, that the American people pay for, have destroyed US soybean farmers. So Trump now wants the American people to bail those soybean farmers out. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
I keep seeing a lot of misinformation about soybean farmers circulating on social media — and most of it isn’t backed up by any real sources or data.
That’s actually misinformation and a misleading take on what’s happening. Trump’s renewed tariffs are part of a larger trade strategy aimed at reindustrializing the U.S. and balancing trade relationships that have favored countries like China for decades. Tariffs are not “taxes on the American people” in the way critics describe them, they’re fees paid by importers, often absorbed along the supply chain, and used as leverage to protect American industries from unfair foreign subsidies and dumping.
As for U.S. soybean farmers, the claim that they’re being “destroyed” isn’t accurate. In fact, current data show that while China reduced some soybean purchases early on, exports have shifted toward other markets, including India, Egypt, Mexico, and parts of the EU. Domestic soybean prices have remained relatively stable, and the USDA reports that overall farm income is holding strong. Trump’s trade team has also emphasized building long-term contracts with friendly nations rather than relying heavily on China, something many farmers have supported.
So, portraying this as “stupid” or “destructive” is just partisan spin that ignores the broader picture — that Trump’s tariffs are about restoring fairness, not punishing American workers or farmers.
What the data do show
1. Soybean prices
The USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS), in its “Soybeans and Oil Crops – Market Outlook,” forecasts that the 2025/26 U.S. season-average farm price for soybeans will be about $10.25 per bushel, compared with $9.95 in 2024/25. That suggests stability
https://www.ers.usda.gov/topics/crops/s … hatgpt.com
The USDA’s “Prices Received: Soybean Prices Received by Month, US” (USDA NASS) maintains a public time series of the monthly cash prices farmers receive for soybeans. That’s a direct, authoritative data source.
https://www.nass.usda.gov/Charts_and_Ma … hatgpt.com
More broadly, historical charts of soybean prices (e.g. via Macrotrends) allow you to see how current levels compare to past decades, which helps with context (i.e. even if prices have dropped from peaks, they aren’t necessarily disastrous).
https://www.macrotrends.net/2531/soybea … hatgpt.com
So yes — using those sources shows that soybean prices are not in freefall or collapse; they’re fluctuating, but staying within a range that many analysts regard as not extreme.
Shar,
This hoax of the soybean farmers being destroyed is right up there with the claim the stock market had crashed. Remember that one?
In April President Donald Trump came out with a list of tariffs he was going to apply to different countries. The market doesn't like change. Investors slowed down their investing. This happens all the time for many reasons. It has since gone on to reach record high levels.
How could anyone with any grasp on reality claim the stock market crashed and people were losing their 401ks? This is evidence of absolutely no knowledge of what is a stock market crash. The market didn't even reach correction levels.
I've come to the conclusion that all the left has is manufactured fear. They've gotten very good at their fake drama. The left makes up stuff about things they know nothing about and shout it to the world like it's gospel. It's a shame some people actually will believe their nonsense.
The rest of us simply know better.
I couldn’t agree with you more. The constant stream of manufactured fear and drama has become exhausting. The constant fear-mongering and exaggerated narratives have really gotten out of hand. It’s as if some people no longer bother to do even the most basic research before repeating what they hear in the media. The same goes for all the talk about ACA premiums supposedly skyrocketing; anyone who’s actually looked at the ACA bill would know that insurance companies are, by law, prevented from gouging customers. The media has had a field day twisting the issue of ACA subsidies and stirring up panic. It’s just another example of how misinformation spreads when facts take a back seat to headlines.
Have any of you actually listened to the farmers?
You know the actual people this is affecting? There are countless testimonies from these people in writing and in video all over the freaking place....
Someone should start posting them LOL
It's not a hoax that they have sold zero percent of their crops this year...MY GOD
You mean we've been eating 100% imports for the entire year?
You and I both know better. It is just another lie that farmers have sold none of their products.
Dan, I’ve shared actual statistics and credible sources showing how well soybean farmers are doing this year—real facts, not opinions. I’m honestly getting tired of posts that make bold claims without a single source to back them up, written as though they’re facts. I’m also worn out by the constant trolling and repetitive comments meant to steer the discussion away from the evidence. Here is the permalink to stats and sources regarding how well the soybean farmers are actually doing this year. I think the facts should speak louder than the media's fodder.
https://hubpages.com/politics/forum/368 … ost4386084
Lol, please provide the statistics in terms of the raw amount of soybeans sold by farmers in this country this year
Please, someone provide us with the facts in terms of soybean sold this year versus last?
This regime isn't having much luck convincing the farmers this is a hoax LOL
Do you really not realize that nobody is buying soybeans from this country??
LOL prices??? Your argument is based on prices of soybeans that aren't selling... So farmers are doing well because of the price of soybeans?
But please, fill us in on how much farmers are actually selling this year?

White House RELEASES Names Funding ANTIFA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHeqB-XcegU
Interesting information (above) especially starting around the 4 minute mark.
Trump Administration needs to hunt all the bank accounts and funders down and confiscate every single dime. Throw the traitors in jail if they are Americans and declare the rest as foreign enemies to the Nation.
Ken — I watched the roundtable yesterday and it was clear to me the administration has assembled a strong team to go after Antifa at the root: the money, the organizers, and the street thugs. Hearing the names of the organizations and people who funded and enabled them was eye-opening, and I was really pleased to see so many arrests. Antifa should have been taken down years ago, and I’m glad we finally have a president who says “oh no you don’t” instead of “don’t” (lol). I agree with you — throw the traitors in jail if they’re Americans, and declare the rest foreign enemies of the nation.
LOL.... RELEASE THE NAMES
AMERICANS AREN'T THAT STUPID, LITERALLY NO ONE IS BUYING THE SHIT THIS REGIME IS SHOVELING
THE ROUND TABLE WAS LAUGHABLE... THIS BUNCH IS TRULY EMBARRASSING THEMSELVES
Today brings wonderful news! And I think all should be pleased that we are seeing the beginning of the end of the War Between Israel and Hamas.
Facts Thus Far
Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a peace deal that will see all hostages freed and Israeli troops withdrawing from most of Gaza.
President Donald Trump announced the deal on Wednesday night, hailing assistance from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.
Hamas has 72 hours to release the 20 remaining hostages believed to be alive, along with the 28 who are deceased, starting Thursday morning.
Perhaps we will see new and better relations across the Middle East.
We'll believe it when we see it...BIBI does what he wants... He's made it clear that Trump's words are meaningless to him.
And I think most people are turning their attention to the Civil War Trump has started in this country...
anyone who’s actually looked at the ACA bill would know that insurance companies are, by law, prevented from gouging customers.
Not sure why this is being repeated over and over.... A LOSS OF THE SUBSIDIES IS NOT GOUGING... I'M NOT SURE WHAT IS SO DIFFICULT FOR SOME FOLKS TO GRASP, MILLIONS COULD NOT AFFORD INSURANCE BEFORE THE CREDITS.... THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, ZERO TO DO WITH GOUGING

BUT PLEASE TELL ME MORE ABOUT HOW WONDERFUL TRUMP'S POLICIES ARE FOR THE FARMERS....
The misinformation on these forums is out of control
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE POST SOMETHING THAT SUPPORTS THE IDEA THAT FARMERS ARE DOING SO WELL RIGHT NOW....
As of October 2025, U.S. soybean farmers face significant financial strain, plummeting prices, and an unprecedented glut of unsold crops, largely a consequence of the lingering US-China trade tensions that began in 2018. This structural vulnerability has necessitated a continued reliance on government trade-related farm aid plans, which, while offering a crucial lifeline, are increasingly seen as temporary fixes rather than sustainable solutions for a market fundamentally reshaped by geopolitical shifts and China's strategic diversification of its food supply.
The immediate implications are stark: U.S. agricultural exports to China fell nearly 40% between June 2024 and June 2025, with soybean shipments in recent months being "effectively zero." This dramatic reduction in demand, coupled with increased U.S. production expectations, has driven soybean futures down by over 5% in a short period, pushing prices well below the cost of production for many farmers. The ongoing market disruption highlights deep-seated flaws in an agricultural model heavily reliant on a single major export market, forcing a painful reevaluation of planting strategies, market access, and the very future of American farming"

What good could come out of it?
Shooting from the hip, since the details are sketchy, the administration's reasoning is: securing an important ally and extending our reach. Considering the Middle East's future alignments, that makes sense to me.
The obvious 'gut' thoughts that are freaking you out also popped up for me, and maybe some later details could validate them, but so far, the administration's reasoning works for me.
First, he's criticized for alienating allies, and now he's criticized for cementing them. Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
Just for giggles, I bet we'll make money on the lease and training. ;-)
GA
As a reminder, the Qataris are the patrons and protectors of HAMAS.
There are no foreign military bases in the US, why should that change?
How is this not a national security concern?
Let's see, what do we have here?
1- Qatar gives Trump $5.5 billion resort deal.
2-Qatar gives Trump $400 million jet.
3-Trump gives Qatar military base in Idaho.
We all know that if Biden allowed Qatar to build a military base in Idaho, the MAGA meltdown would’ve registered on the Richter scale. Fox News would be doing 24/7 specials called “Sharia in the Heartland.”
Why does Qatar need a military presence in this country?
GA,
I did a little research and it seems that Qatar is not the first country to build a base within Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. It seems this is done for training purposes. This is from CBS news.
Hegseth announces Qatar will build air force facility at U.S. base in Idaho
Washington — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday announced a finalized agreement that will allow the Qatari Emiri Air Force to build a facility at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.
The agreement, which Hegseth announced alongside Qatari Minister of Defense Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani at the Pentagon, will allow Qatari pilots to receive training alongside U.S. soldiers. There are no foreign military bases in the U.S., but some foreign militaries do maintain a presence for training. The Singaporean Air Force also has a presence at the Mountain Home base.
Hegseth said he is "proud that today we're signing a letter of acceptance to build a Qatari Emiri Air Force Facility at the Mountain Home Air Base in Idaho."
"The location will host a contingent of Qatari F-15's and pilots to enhance our combined training, increase lethality, interoperability, it's just another example of our partnership," Hegseth said. "And I hope you know, your excellency, that you can count on us."

Did the Singaporeans build a facility? Qatar is building a military base...
You are easily proven wrong.
IF you read the article, in an effort to help those who don't have the facts, I bolded the word "facility" in the sentence Qatar is building a facility. Just like the Singaporean Air Force built a facility.
This article is from the left-wing news outlet CBS.
It's just one more idiotic topic the Left creates to try and get sane people to chase their tails.
Arguing with those that support the Left today is no different than arguing with the delusional or insane. There are exceptions, but even so, if they are captured by the Leftwing media and consider that garbage truthful what is the point?
Even Bill Maher gets it... even he knows the Left is insane...and only getting less reasonable:

Mike, thanks for adding your research -- I did a bit on the plane. It all seems to be wrapped up and legal. I have not heard any news on Impeaching Trump on this issue... Not sure why anyone is looking at this as a bad thing... I certainly don't.
The details are not really sketchy for those who want to believe what the White House has put out. Yes, a legal agreement has been finalized regarding the Boeing 747-8 jet donated by Qatar to the United States. On July 7, 2025, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Qatari Defense Minister Soud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) formalizing the aircraft as an "unconditional donation" to the U.S. Department of Defense.
Anadolu Ajansı. This MOU outlines the terms of the transfer and specifies that the aircraft is intended for use as Air Force One https://www.aa.com.tr/en/americas/qatar … hatgpt.com
The White House has stated that the 747 jet from Qatar was accepted as a government-to-government gift, intended for the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force, not as a personal gift to Donald Trump. According to both ABC News and Reuters, the Pentagon confirmed that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth formally accepted the aircraft in full compliance with federal regulations.
The Pentagon has said Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth accepted the plane “in accordance with all federal rules and regulations.
Well, there you go. Details that matter. It's not a base and it's not a precedent, and probably not a national security risk.
I thought it was a good idea when I thought it was a base. I really think it's a good idea now.

It's weird how joy much the President of the United States takes in Americans losing their jobs...
Trump: "A lot. It will be Democrat oriented...They should be Democrat oriented. It will be a lot and we'll announce the numbers over the next couple of days, but it will be a lot of people...Many of them will be fired."
He is vile.

Hegseth blasted by Loomer, conservatives over Qatari air force facility in Idaho
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s Friday announcement that the U.S. will host a new Qatari air force facility in Idaho has drawn the ire of the Trump administration’s closest allies, including Laura Loomer, who said she felt “betrayed” over the matter.
“I don’t know who told President Trump this was a good idea, but it has made people not want to vote.”
In another post about Hegseth, she admonished him as he “should know how bad of an idea it is to allow Terror financing Qataris who fund HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood to have an AIR FORCE BASE ON US SOIL.”
“I don’t think I’ll be voting in 2026” over the issue, she added.
Loomer is not the only MAGA Republican to express displeasure at the development.
Steve Bannon, former White House chief strategist during Trump’s first term, told Newsweek there “should never be a military base of a foreign power on the sacred soil of America.”
And conservative commentator Amy Malek wrote on X that “Qatar has spent $100 billion buying influence in the U.S., and it’s paying off.”
“I am in shock that Washington would approve a deal letting Qatar, Hamas’s #1 financier, open a Qatari Air Force facility on U.S. soil,” she wrote. “Qatar bankrolls Hamas, ISIS, the Taliban, al-Nusra, and the Muslim Brotherhood. It plays both sides – the arsonist and the firefighter – funding jihad, then posing as a ‘mediator.’ This isn’t ‘shared defense goals.’ It’s a shared delusion. We’re not building peace. We’re building a launchpad for the Islamic disaster.”
It's very interesting that we seem to have clear factions of maga and what I call "Trumpist". The latter is what we see on this forum. They have no clear ideology, it changes with the daily whims of Dear Leader.
Let's say I paid $200 for a prescription. A 650% decrease would mean the company that made the drug paid me $1,100.
Is Dr Oz really this stupid or is he pretending to be stupid in front of dear leader??
My God.... The American people just are not this dumb...
https://x.com/atrupar/status/1976768057017028921
Caught that when Trump was saying it. And yes, the American people probably ARE that dumb.
No, they just think people are that stupid.... Anyone with 6th .grade math skills can figure this out. I don't think this bunch realizes that people are becoming pretty incensed with the continual attacks on their intelligence
Dan, odd though — I did catch it, but I was far more impressed by the fact that once again, Trump made a really good deal. Between helping end a horrific war, bringing home hostages, working to stop violence across our nation, and addressing the crisis of illegal migration, he still found time to set a precedent and keep making deals with drug manufacturers. I’ve always been the type to look beyond a word or two and focus on the deeds. Go figure, LOL.
I must add, I find this obsession I see on social media with dwelling on every word Trump utters absolutely exhausting. We just witnessed a president who could barely put two sentences together, yet somehow, that was acceptable. Isn’t it strange that this mindset can’t see accomplishments, only words? That kind of thinking honestly baffles me. It deserves a thread all its own.
Shar, I have zero idea of what he did with drug makers. When he claims we will be paid 4X the cost of the drug to take their drugs (500% decrease), well, I know better. And I am not willing to simply take his word for it, not when my Advantage plan has already told me that my cost for my drugs will increase 50% in next year's plan.
Trump is doing some great things for the country (and some things that are harmful), but it isn't even close to what he says he is doing.
Dan, my point is that it seems odd how some people focus more on Trump’s words than his actions. Yes, he can bloviate and be hyperbolic, but his deeds speak volumes. I’ve been keeping track, and some of his accomplishments are truly remarkable, even if they’re overlooked. Both drug deals are good, not as good as Trump's words shared, but really good. Let's put it this way--- far better than we had... I like cup half full. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. LOL
He’s secured the release of hostages from Hamas and potentially moved toward ending that war. He’s brought in $2.3 trillion in investment, an unprecedented amount for any president. He’s pressured Iran, strengthened border security, and is enforcing immigration laws swiftly. And that’s just scratching the surface.
Honestly, in my lifetime, I’ve never seen a president achieve so much in such a short time. It may be overwhelming for some to keep up, but if you look past the words, the impact of his actions is undeniable.
He’s not perfect, but are we truly ready to welcome a Democrat back into the White House? Trump is a problem solver, and he makes it all look so simple.
That wasn't being hyperbolic or bloviating... That was being stupid. He's a stupid man.
Trump says many things that people can point to and say it is wrong.
I stopped paying attention to that years ago... Don't tell me what he said... show me what he's done, that is how I measure his Presidency and effectiveness for American interests.
Laura Loomer doesn't like what he did with Qatar... so what?
According to the Left isn't she an extremist?
Trump is POTUS... I am sure he makes deals and decisions every day he does not want to, but considers it in the best interests of America, of accomplishing goals, of the bigger picture.
Judge the total... ignore the individual items... not everything he does will be what you want... or what is right. If most of what he does is good for Americans and America... its a lot better than what we had the previous 4 years, where most of what was done under Biden was bad for America and Americans.
Ken, I agree. Focusing on Trump’s actions rather than every single statement is crucial; words can be misleading at best, but policies and decisions have real-world consequences. One thing people often miss is the broader strategic context: many of his moves, like foreign deals or economic policies, are calculated with long-term national interests in mind, even if they seem controversial at first glance. Measuring a presidency by tangible outcomes, jobs, national security, trade deals, energy independence, gives a far clearer picture than chasing every comment the media highlights. On top of that, he is making history so frequently it’s hard to keep up with. I could care less if he bloviates; I’m loving what he’s doing every bit of it. He’s keeping promises and doing it with impressive speed.
He is driving the Democrats out—and hopefully for good. And I, for one, am loving watching them squirm.
He is driving the Democrats crazy. In my view, they are non-existent… poof! I would not give one the time of day...
Odd to "dwell" on every word Trump says? The man never shuts his big mouth... He is the POTUS, of course every word will be scrutinized... He would do better to shut up once in a while. He makes himself look like an idiot. A lying fool. He will be under a microscope just as Biden was ....
Confirmed Facts About the Deal... No opinion fodder, just facts that are available thus far.
The Trump administration obtains a deal with AstraZeneca
Parties --- The deal is between the Trump administration and AstraZeneca, a major pharmaceutical company.
It follows a similar deal announced earlier with Pfizer.
Medicaid Pricing / “Most-Favored-Nation” (MFN) Principle
Under the agreement, AstraZeneca will provide some drugs to the U.S. Medicaid program at “most-favored-nation” pricing — i.e., matching the lowest prices it offers in other developed countries.
As part of the deal, AstraZeneca will receive a three-year delay or reprieve from new tariffs that had been threatened on branded drug imports.
AJMC
The tariffs in question are part of a “Section 232” national security authority being invoked on pharmaceuticals.
Direct-to-Consumer Sales / TrumpRx
AstraZeneca has agreed to sell some of its medicines directly to consumers (outside of insurance) at discounted prices.
The administration plans to use a new federal platform “TrumpRx.gov” (launching January 2026) where manufacturers, including AstraZeneca, can sell medicines directly at discount prices.
The White House
Investment Commitments
AstraZeneca is committing $50 billion in U.S. manufacturing and R&D/investment by 2030 as part of the agreement.
One specific facility is being built in Charlottesville, Virginia, as a part of this investment.
That Virginia facility is expected to create 3,600 jobs (at least initially).
Scope & Confidentiality
The full details of which drugs, how broadly (all vs some), and the discount levels are not fully disclosed in the public domain, as of yet.
AstraZeneca
Population Covered / Exclusions
The deal explicitly applies to Medicaid — not to Medicare under the terms currently disclosed.
It is stated that some medicines will be discounted for direct-to-consumer buyers (those buying outside of insurance).

This deal certainly sets a precedent and is already bringing lower drug prices to Americans. The fact that AstraZeneca agreed to provide medications to Medicaid at the lowest global prices and invest billions in U.S. manufacturing shows this administration is taking real, tangible action to reduce costs. I’ve read some skepticism, people saying the deal “doesn’t go deep enough.” I have to laugh at that. Lowering prices and securing long-term investment in American production is a major achievement in itself. Some people would complain even if this president cured cancer. Intelligence isn’t something you’re born with; it’s built by paying attention and recognizing progress when it’s right in front of you.
Absolutely none of Trump's shit ages well does it?

October 13, 2025 ---President Donald Trump spoke at the Israeli parliament on Monday before heading to Egypt for a major peace summit aimed at implementing the first stage of a U.S.-facilitated ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
On the same day, the last 20 living hostages taken by Hamas during the October 7, 2023 attacks were returned to Israel in a swap that included Palestinian prisoners held by Israel. Meanwhile, some residents of Gaza are starting to return to their homes, beginning to confront the massive destruction left by the two-year-long conflict.
At the peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, Trump joined a signing ceremony marking the first phase of the ceasefire. Leaders from more than 20 nations attended, including Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the King of Jordan, the Emirates’ Vice President, the UN Secretary-General, Germany’s Chancellor, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and the prime ministers of the UK, Italy, Spain, Pakistan, Canada, Iraq, and Norway. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was invited but could not attend due to local religious holidays.
After the summit, Trump addressed questions about Hamas serving temporarily as a Palestinian police force. He confirmed that they had given Hamas approval to do so for a limited period, noting that the group was willing to maintain order during the ceasefire.
In Israel, five of the newly freed hostages are receiving medical care at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, including comprehensive evaluations with mental health professionals, dietitians, and physiotherapists. Among them are Evyatar David, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Alon Ohel, Eitan Mor, and Avinatan Or. Or was also reunited with his girlfriend, Noa Argamani, who had been rescued last year, creating a joyful reunion after their abduction at the Nova music festival in 2023.
Tragically, two of the hostages who died during captivity were returned to Israel via the Red Cross, with additional bodies expected to be transferred in the coming days. Israeli authorities expressed frustration over the partial delivery, calling it a violation of the first phase of the ceasefire.
Meanwhile, released Palestinian prisoners were greeted by crowds in Gaza and the West Bank. As part of the agreement, 250 Palestinian detainees and 1,700 civilians not involved in the October 7 attacks were released from Israeli custody.
Across Israel, families celebrated the safe return of their loved ones, with photos capturing emotional reunions. The final group of released hostages included Eitan Mor, Matan Zangauker, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Maxim Herkin, Bar Kupershtein, and Evyatar David, among others.
Trump, sitting alongside top U.S. envoys and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, emphasized that the second phase of negotiations had already begun. He noted that Gaza will require extensive cleanup and preparation for long-term stability. The summit’s overall aim is to solidify peace in the region and set the foundation for future security and stability across the Middle East.
Today is truly a historic and wonderful day. Seeing the last living hostages finally returned to their families is a moment of immense relief and joy—not just for Israel, but for anyone who believes in justice and human dignity. The painstaking negotiations, the careful coordination with world leaders, and the meticulous planning behind this ceasefire show the kind of results that come from determination, skill, and unwavering commitment.
President Trump deserves enormous credit for keeping his promises and seeing this through. From addressing the Israeli parliament to co-chairing the peace summit in Egypt, he has been directly involved in making world peace a reality. His leadership, alongside the efforts of his team and the international partners who came together, has brought hope to families who’ve suffered for far too long, stabilized a dangerous situation, and taken the first steps toward lasting peace in the region.
This isn’t just politics—it’s a moment where action, courage, and strategy combined to create tangible results. Everyone involved in making this happen should be recognized for their dedication, but Trump’s central role in delivering on commitments and driving this process forward is clear. Today proves that leadership, vision, and hard work can truly make a difference on the global stage.
