Obama is coming out with a children's book this November.  I thought it might follow the Hillary Clinton vein and be titled something like "It Takes a Few Trillion $$$" but it's not.  The book is titled 'Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters" which will be a tribute to 13 groundbreaking Americans.  The book covers the contributions of:

    William Ayers
    Jeremiah Wright
    Julius Rosenberg
    Eugene Debs
    Oprah Winfrey
    Bernie Sanders
    Harry Reid
    Nancy Pelosi
    Barrack Obama
    Barney Frank
    Christopher Dodd
    Charlie Rangle
    Queen Latifah

I think Queen Latifah is not too bad....  She's definitely talented, but I don't know her politics.

One out of thirteen okay?  - well, I guess it could be worse.

Really? Where did you dig up that list? In your mind? While it is true that he is publishing a book in November, according to all of the news stories I have seen regarding the book, including CBS News, the book was completed in 2008 prior to Mr. Obama becoming President. According to all the releases I have read, the book will be about 13 inspirational Americans, including George Washington, Jackie Robinson and Georgia O'Keefe. The rest of the list has not been published yet. Also, according to CBS news, any proceeds  from the sale of the book will go into a scholarship fund for the children of disabled and deceased veterans.

Sounds a little different from what you are suggestting...

Well, of course it is.  I was mocking.  After all, that's what we do....I'm a conservative.

You are mocking, and I knew you were, but alot of people will be swearing it is the truth- who knows- maybe Beck man will read you, steal what you have written and spend an hour convincing people it is true. Sometimes mocking is funny, but if it can hurt someone, is it really such a good idea? Sorry, but it doesn't sit well with me and I have a pretty good sense of humor for a half-witted liberal...

Well, in that case please tell me what Obama knows about the groundbreakers in American history.  This is a guy who, by his actions, forget his flowery words, dispises this country and now his written a book for his girls and we're supposed to slobber all over him.  It's a publicity stunt and nothing more.  I doubt he wrote the thing in the first place.

As you are a self admitted liar - as per post above - you would think bad of anyone else.  The man wrote a book for f@@@@s sake !  you want to make some issue with it - maybe you are just jealous he can write ?

Actually, I have eyes, ears and a brain.  I haven't swallowed the Obama koolaid nor am I a liberal vegetable.  You want to defend the man you go right ahead.  It's your right.  In typical liberal fashion if someone doesn't agree with you they must be a liar, racist, moron or redneck conservative.  Name one thing this man has done for this country.  Healthcare?  Bailouts?  Takeovers?  Opologies to foreign nations?  Lowering unemployment?  Reduced the deficit?  (oops.  Sorry.  I forgot that was Bush's fault.  Never mind Obama's additional 2 trillion).  Since you've taken the opportunity to call me a liar I'll return the favor in a milder fashion.  You're either blind to reality or a fool.

Maybe if Obama spent more time concentrating on his Job as US Senator he might have done more for the country. He spent two years pandering for the presidency at the expense of doing his job as Senator.

Before you go there, it applies to all of those on the presidential election circuit that had a job in office.

Remember that the entire US Congress got caught in the headlights when the economy melted down before the election. They had no idea what was happening in the country.

Maybe if they all concentrated on their current jobs, they could have done something to prevent the meltdown.

Well little Tobey....Obama despises the country that elected him President! If I follow your logic you also conclude that everyone who voted for Obama also despises their own country?

Or is it just you that hates Obama for a reason best known to your own
          a)stupidity b) irrationality c) paranoia d) racist undertones

Feel free to answer any of the above

How apt that you made stuff up about your President.

I seem to recall your precious Dubya's presidency  behaved in the same way. You know lying to get votes, lying about reasons for war and playing the 'humour' card which wasn't very humourus at all but it concealed a few truths for awhile.

Thanks for telling me you're a conservative I would never have guessed given the nature of your posts.

Obama was actually going to write a children's book for Republican's but his publishers advised him to wait until the literacy rate increased. The figure of 99.9% was mentioned

          1. tobey100 profile image61
tobey100posted 13 years agoin reply to this

Obama was elected for the sole reason he ran as something he wasn't.  He couldn't get elected dog catcher now that the voters know who and what he is.  Let's recap.  The basic liberal argument for any attack on 'The One' is we're illiterate, liars or christians (and we know how they are don't we).  Obama is an incompetent joke on his best days.  The man's not qualified to write a children's book.

It won't happen.  The Republicans might get a tiny majority in the House, but as of last night they have surrendered any chance at taking the Senate.  They'll tease the most ignorant constituents of their base with empty platitudes such as "take our country back" and "cleaning house", but in the end they'll show themselves to be powerless to do anything but whine about how they have once again been thwarted.

Republicans were the spenders. The facts are right thee from the Bush Administration. Cleaning up a huge mess is a lot of work. What a sad spinning bunch those lying conservatives are.
Bush - Kerry was basically a wash since each was moderate so you go with family and you get a worse result. Americans won't forget what they did. But, Obama doesn't know what he is doing, OTOH, he is a better choice than Tina Fey and ol' geyser

Blair did me a favour by confirming a long held belief of mine which is that an Oxbridge education doesn't mean your intelligent.

Nick Griffin took my belief to the extreme.

I would not rule out the possibility that Blair is intelligent, his unbelievable support of Bush and the US disgrace that is Iraq will be more to do withthe fact that he is catholic.  You might remember the Pope maintaining that "oops I made a mistake by publicly quoting some old hatred of Islam" and Bush 's supposed slip about a "Crusade".  I would say that people would not be fooled by these ass@@@@s except that they clearly were !

A man who holds the highest job in his country who can lie to his own people about the reason for going to war is not a man of  intelligence in my opinion.

The consequences of those lies were the deaths of young british soldiers and innocent Iraqi men, women and children.

Sorry Alt can't agree with you on this one but I understand your explanation.

As for the Pope and Dubya they are walking contradictions of what they say they stand for.

The most glaring strategy adopted by the Liberals is to attack the individual if you can’t attack the facts.  These arguments are many times reminiscent of children on the playground.  One child may say, “You can’t spell Mississippi” and the other child will respond, “Well, you’re fat”.  These types of character attacks come across as nothing more than name calling.  If one takes a stance against the expansion of welfare, they are accused by the Liberal of wanting the poor to die.  Take a stance against expanding free lunches in schools, you’re accused of wanting our children to starve.  State your belief that Global Warming is a hoax, you’re accused of wanting to destroy the planet, and the most despicable ploy of all, if you don’t agree with us you’re a racist, a liar or a (shudder) Christian.  Once the verbal attacks begin you can be assured you’re on the right side of the argument.

....advocate laws that discriminate against gays - they call you homophobes.  Gleefully invade another country - they call you warmongers.  Turn record surpluses into record deficits, then rail against the other side's fiscal management - they call you hypocrites.  Regurgitate the hateful nonsense they spoon-feed you on FoxNews - they call you morons...

      Damn those liberals! mad

It amazes me that any thinking human (thinking being the key word) believes this man has an iota of a chance at a second term.  His own party is scrambling to distance themselves from him in order to get reelected.  What other signal do ya need to comprehend just how off the track this squirrell has pushed us.

I defy anyone to show me one single campaign ad, produced by a Democrat, that touts their vote for bailouts and Obamacare as reason to reelect them.
