On this site you can report anyone...even bloggers who attack or publish what they consider untruthful about Obama.  The site even looks like a communist site.

Obama is a socialist! I hope that comment appears on his site! He's going around the country selling a bill he knows wont pass of measures that he knows won't work so he can campaign with taxpayer money and blame the destruction he caused on republicans! PLEASE REPORT THIS TO ATTACK WATCH!

Don't be so sure that BO will be voted out. He's polling well, and if the GOP chooses a far-rightie, I feel sure Obama will be re-elected. And if Paul or Palin runs as an independent, the GOP candidate won't have a chance.

I didn't go very far into the site.  I didn't (AHEM!) join it.  But just seeing the entry and the link titles, etc., it reminds me of the FLAGG (I think it was FLAGG) program that was set up sometime back (a couple years ago I think?) where people were asked to "flag" their neighbors or whoever spoke against liberal policies....

...(If someone already mentioned that, sorry;  I haven't read this whole thread...)

      That's not what it's for.

It's a countermeme site. When the Right fabricates lies (as they are known to do: death panels, Obama's a Muslim, etc.) and starts spreading them in the media, email lists, blogs, etc. if you sign up you'll get fact-checker information with which to debunk it, ideally before the meme becomes accepted as fact.

The site is not for reporting people.

I looked at the site. I don't have any problem at all with the evidence on the site that counters the lies. I still don't like the "report" part, though. Why not just present the truth and leave it at that? I don't think there should be a place to report and send in the link to personal blogs.

Actually, I think the site's reporting function works to figure out which are the big lies that being pushed, instead of the paranoid (but lone) rantings of some lunatic. tongue (i.e. I gave a poor example, but one that made me chuckle anyway)

If I were running Obama's campaign, I'd want to know very, very quickly what lies about me are being pushed out very quickly. If I got 1 report saying Obama is a Satanist, but 1000 saying Obamacare will be defunding Medicare, then I'd spend time formulating a response to the latter and making sure volunteers know that response.

Here is my thoughts on Obama or any other President for that matter. All of them try to do the best they can during there time in office. Obama has given our Country some positive things and there have been negative things. Bush was the same way. It is the men/women in Congress who are the ones the create the havoc for our Country. Since I have been a voter, I have not seen a perfect President.

There are at least 100 positive things he has done for this Country http://www.facebook.com/pages/Things-Ob … 7458970505 but many have forgotten about it. Yes, our deficit is larger but did we forget who started the deficit? Who was in the White House when our Country began to collapse? How many people do not have healthcare right now? We are in the millions? Where are the jobs? We can't blame it all on Obama our corporations want large tax cuts to benefit themselves.

We the people need to look at the entire picture before pointing fingers at the President. What will happen with a new President? Same thing. We as Americans will pick at each one because we don't like what they are doing. Instead of us complaining we need to right our Congressman. We need to vote all 636 out and start over. We have the power to do it and we need to get it done.

I am not a Democrat nor a Republican, I vote on what our President can do for our Country. We need to stop worrying about websites, etc. put our heads together as a Country and figure out what direction it needs to go, without bashing our Presidency. Just my thoughts. tongue

This site is not a .gov site. It's a .com site, owned by the Obama campaign, and is a campaign/PR tool. It is clearly labeled as such. We know who owns it and who is paying for it (which is more than we can say for the new million-dollar superpacs that get founded, get huge contributions from mysterious donors, spend said contributions, and quickly dissolve, all over the course of a couple days).
Really, if you see this site, and it /does/ scare the Orwellian bejesus out of you, you either
    a) Are predisposed to hate/fear anything remotely connected with Obama
    b) Didn't notice that it's a .com (not a .gov) domain
    c) Didn't read to the bottom and see that openly states that it's run by the Obama campaign
    d) Think that any candidate/public official/public personage/corporation that has a page on the internet to rebut misleading statements about them is engaging in Orwellian thought-police tactics
    e) Somehow don't think that candidates/office holders are pretty much doing the same darn thing when they run ads on TV
    or
    f) any or all of the above.

    Hi TMMason,

You do understand that by continuously saying that folks on the left are BOTH communist (which...tho outdated is correct) and fascist (which is actually the right wing of this particular political spectrum, and therefore, incorrect) simply dilutes your argument by making your assertions seem far fetched and fanciful?

    Hey TMMason...

Well...it would hardly make sense for me to read your Hub on this matter as it is obviously a case of irrelevant fantasies (see...I told you that you risked dismissal through irrelevance)

--As for your Nazi line...I have read The Communist Manifesto, Das Kapital, and Mein Kampf (all in the English translations) and I will continue to base my thoughts on those primary documents as opposed to your internet linking shenanigans.  This is the trained historian in me...always best to use primary documentation when possible.

So...I saw that you had published a Hub on Harry Truman...I am going to go check it out.

PS....Are you familiar with Sinclair Lewis' 'It Can't Happen Here'?  Looking at your typical post...yes...I think it can happen here.

      Yeah... sure... lol... lol... (lol)

And yes your the only one who has read those works... lol.

The Nazi (National Socialist) Party published a magazine called the Nationalsozialistischen Briefe (National Socialist Letters). This magazine was used by the the Nazi party leadership to espouse their semi-monthly socialist views. The National Socialist Letters magazine was published by Otto Strasser and had Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s lead wind-up monkey and propagandist, as its editor-in-chief.

The Nazis published the following statements about socialism and capitalism when they presented their public “manifesto” in the National Socialist Letters: “We are socialists; We are enemies, mortal enemies, of the present-day capitalist economic system… We are resolved to annihilate this system despite everything.”

If you can find scanned copies of the Nationalsozialistischen Briefe, and you know German, you can amuse yourself by reading the socialist tripe throughout the magazine. There’s no doubt the Nazis were socialists, despite what American leftist revisionists would have you believe. A simple read of anything Goebbels wrote would eliminate any questions a real seeker of truth would have.

Just like the myth Hitler was destroying unions...

"When Hitler came to power, he moved to correct this hyperinflation while keeping his national socialist views front and center. In 1933, the Nazis disbanded the Weimar unions and replaced them with the new and improved union, the German Labor Front (Deutsche Arbeitsfront, DAF), which was comprised of 2 primary entities, the National Socialist Factory Organization and the National Socialist Trade and Industry Organization. The labor contracts that were Weimar contracts were now DAF-honored contracts. The Nazi’s funded the DAF’s coffers with the Weimar unions’ stockpile of wealth (the existing unions were part of that inflation problem). One of the new unions’ most popular programs was the Strength through Joy (Kraft durch Freude, KdF)) program, which developed the KdF-wagen, that later became the Volkswagen, or People’s Car.

The primary goal of Germany’s national socialists was to “create a classless” society. Hitler’s unions were central in this cause. In fact, Hitler gave the unions their long-awaited demand, one that the Weimar unions were never able to pull off, a National Labor Day, May 1, 1933."

But you continue on with the dissemination of leftist BS and lies.

And here is his own words on Unions... in your prized Mein Kampf...

hmmmm,I read Christopher Story's site, and here's what he said about your assertion: "All uncouth, New Age, rude, discourteous, blasphemous, satanic, goss, filthy and otherwise objectionable emails, including ignorant rants promoting ‘Black’ revisionist claptrap about e.g. the British Monarchy ‘owning’ America and other old Nazi ‘Black’ propaganda emanating from the CIA’s massive lie and disinformation apparat, are trashed."

    Man, that CIA is everywhere!!
