   well from my personal view i think we just  cant bear the same pain again...or maybe we want people to see us as a mistakeless person...like people have high hope on you so you dont want to lose those...i hope i answer your question

   You can lean and recover from some mistakes.
   However, there are mistakes that can have catastrophic consequences. We should be afraid to make such mistakes.

    People equate mistakes with failure and no one wants to be a failure. If we could shift our thinking from "failure" to learning from trial and error, we might be more willing to keep trying till we succeed. We think that a mistake means we should stop, when in actual fact all it has shown us is that the way we attempted to solve the problem didn't work and we need to move on to the next step toward a solution.

    On the one hand, I'm pretty comfortable with, and not afraid of, making mistakes.  On the other hand, some mistakes can have serious consequences.
    
    I'm not sure we all learn from our mistakes, and I'm not any of us always learns learns all our mistakes.  Even when we do learn from them, though, what we learn isn't always the best thing to have learned.
    
    Personally, I have to say that I've done things/made choices that are mistake-free, and I've done things/made choices that involved having made a mistake.  I like mistake-free better.
