Do you believe a single woman in forties.
good looking, must still be able to flirt to
    attract men?

    Flirting is actually showing interest.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
If she really is "good looking" she need only "flirt (back)" when she is interested in a man who flirts with her.
There are basically 3 things that determine if a man will ask a woman out.
    1. Physical attraction. Guys don't want to date women (they) find unattractive.
    2. She's personable, easy to talk with, and has a similar sense of humor.
    3. She has the ability to subtly flirt to let him know she is attracted
Sometimes a guy will see an attractive woman and assume she already has a mate/boyfriend or significant other. Men have never enjoyed being rejected and in this day and age they also don't want to come off harassing anyone either.
A woman who acts (aloof or uninterested) believing that will cause men to "work" to get her attention is likely to spend a lot of time alone.
Neither men or women "enjoy the chase". They want to meet in the middle these days where they acknowledge a (mutual) interest.

Well, I think she can if her real age is not so obvious by mere looking at her but don't forget that since men are said to be visual, a much younger looking woman will always trump when it comes to dating.

By the way, anyone can flirt. I don't see what it has to with age.

Self-confidence. Good hygiene. Welcoming smile. Inviting eyes...Bring it on! Let the flirting begin!

I do believe so that a single woman in her forties can still flirt, age is just  a number if she has it all going for her let her  be the way she chooses to .

Women in their forties can definitely be able to attract men, provided that they maintain themselves well in terms of physical appearance, able to engage in interesting conversation and have a pleasing personality that will put men at ease. This is of course applicable to any woman of any age smile So essentially, the age doesn't really matter. As long as a woman has these qualities and have the time and opportunity to meet worthy men, they can definitely attract the men.

Certainly, you only live once.  Seriously, I think that flirting is a part of life.  It's fun and it lets someone know you are interested in getting to know them better.

Oh wauw! I love your question! I'm forty and actually enjoying single life to the max, flirting, dating and travelling around the world.

I'm Latina and born to flirt. It's part of daily life to attract men and to see what will follow next. On travels I flirt more. In my day to day life I'm more laid back.

I believe flirting is even necessary to meet the right guy. How else would he know you're interested? If you know the game well and if you don't mind being turned down sometimes, flirting can even lead to the guy that's made for you.

And even if you're not good looking but in your forties and single....Flirt anyways...It's healty and harmless.
