Should I stay or not
We have been Married for 16 years, devorced in our 10th year and remarried after a year. Same problem every time, alcohol, friends, cheating and coming home after after 12:00 in the morning. No communication and I stopped sleeping with him. He supports us financially since I'm a house wife but I can't stand the alcohol abuse and cheatings.
You need to leave, but you also need to figure out what your skill set is so that you can enter the workplace. You may have to take a few classes, even if just online.
But Keith is right. The guy is a loser. The sooner you leave and don't look back, the better. Also, there is a lot to be said for being a single, independent woman who is happy without a mate and who goes to work everyday and earns a living.
Also, be sure to get half of everything in the divorce settlement. Sixteen years is a long time to put up with such blatant disrespect. Good luck to you.
A+, good answer. This answer summates the reason why you're considered the queen of relationship advice.
Thank you, Grace. How kind.
I like the sound of the word "Queen." All this time, I feared I was a mere Princess. But seriously, I know that you realize the value of self-sufficiency and I appreciate that very much.
Prudence....I'm sure you've heard this one: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." This husband of yours sounds non-redeemable and unrepentant. Your story of divorce in year 10 and then remarriage a year later, I can safely assume must be a confusing and complex one. Oh Prudence, what were you thinking?
I'm afraid I must agree with both Keith & Yves. Thus far, that looks like 3 & 0.....take a message from the wise.
You deserve much better than this schmuck. Do the best you can to prepare yourself to take control of your own life and then cut your losses and walk away. Hopefully you can afford the best of divorce attorneys who will cover all important matters to protect you. It's clear, you've been used and abused far too long. Best of luck to you~Get your share of Happiness, girl!.....Peace, Paula
Thank you for your honest response. I made a decision to file for divorce. I feel stupit for giving him so many chances.
