DOES YOUR SPOUSE HAVE THE RIGHT TO LOOK THROUGH YOUR POCKETS WHEN YOUR SLEEPING?
Does your spouse have a reason to? Obviously they feel that there's something you're hiding, they feel that they have a reason to mistrust you. That's really the issue you should be addressing. For some reason they don't trust you. You need to sit down and talk about it and figure out what it is that is prompting this feeling in them. Than figure out what you are going to do about it.
I mean, from a legal stand point, yes, your spouse has the right. The question is why would they exercise it. Time to sit down and talk it out.
It's ok only if they're genuinely looking for something - Have they misplaced their keys or concert tickets... Otherwise it's just sneeky! And in that case it could be seen as 'controlling' type of behaviour...Like they're looking for some sort of evidence. They could have 'trust' issues.

Do you get angry if your boyfriend/spouse looks at other women?Assuming he doesn't do it in front of you, is looking harmless? Would you want him to be honest about it if he does or keep it to himself?
