Sometimes, you need to forgive and place trust in a person. He might have cheated but everyone deserves a second chance.

However, be strong and be proud of yourself. Be aware of how he acts and respect yourself to be willing to walk away if he doesn't treat you right in the future.

It's better to be alone than have a man who won't be faithful.

If he cheated on you then he does not love you. If he did it once he will again. The vows are for both and that is the one reason the bible gives for divorce being OK, so God is even saying apparently you don't have to forgive him.

You don't say how long you've been together, which makes it hard to judge.  People do cheat for a variety of reasons, and he may very well still love you.  But is that enough?  To me, the worst thing about cheating is the dishonesty and lies that go along with it.  I would be far more likely to forgive someone for being unfaithful if they admitted it before being caught.  If there was a lot of sneaking around and lying and they tried to deny it when confronted, I would run a mile.  That shows they are cowardly and they lack honesty.  Can you still respect a man like that? And could you ever trust him again?  Get him to a counsellor to find out why he did it; they really can work miracles, not only for you to understand him, but to help you figure out whether you can forgive him or not.  Good luck.
