Absolutely! Sometimes we get so caught up in what is going  on in American culture that we assume the rest of the world is doing everything we see on MTV videos, in movies, or hear in songs..etc I would imagine cultures with very strong religious values tend to put off sex until marriage.

Yes and no.  I think that the world's standards of sexual purity and what it means have changed drastically...even in just the last 25 years.  But that is not to say that there not many people that wait until marriage because there is.  Personally, I am trying to save myself for marriage.  I think it should be with someone that you are going to spend the rest of your life with and dedicate yourself to.

I think the ratio has dropped considerably through time but I have friends who have saved themselves for marriage. None of them are male though.

Probably ...BUT....I was always told the men need to be experienced in the sexual side of things when they marry..so how can they be experienced if the women are saving themselves for marriage?

I say practice on both sides is needed..but take precautions so's to avoid any unwanted outcome, baby etc....I cant imagine anything worse than going to bed on your honeymoon and not knowing what to do !!!

The rest of the world does consider virginity as a great virtue, this part of the world where I come from majority of the girls are virgins at marriage.

Not because of lack of opportunities but because in the Eastern cultures you are taught to value it.
    Surprising most men are too!

There are definitely still virgins out there saving themselves for marriage. I actually know a few of them. One is in her 30s and ready to get married soon. Rare, but they do exist smile

Hiya my dear friend onceuponatime, I'm sure there are still virgins who save themselves for marriage.  Gone were the promiscuous days of the hippies.. love for all, all for love.. but really what they're saying is .. sed for all, all for sex. Now young people are practicing abstinence, and yes, including guys.. good for them!

    Have a nice day,
    Rosie

Yes, I am raising three children, one boy and two girls.  My husband and I will teach them the principals of abstinence according to what the Bible teaches.  It is my prayer that they each save themselves to make a fireworking honeymoon!  Thanks, ncdf001

    Yes I do think that:
    1. If you are talking about the whole world, then there many countries where most of the girls keep their virginity until they are married-its their culture & believe .
    2. If you are talking about the western world, then I will say that I have 2 friends who are saving their virginity for marriage.

Yes and very few of them....we now live in a world where people thinks is cool to have sex at a young age, because is what everybody is doing sad, but that's what most teens think.

YES, I do know that there are in the world many countries that as a culture and religion people save virginity for marriage. If you are not virgin then no body will accept your marriage unless you are somebody who married before. Other wise your spouse considers you as a cheater.

Of course there are. And this is completely normal, if they want to find their truly loved one. You can't rush these things, perhaps they want to give all their feeling to their chosen one, and only to him...

I am a virgin and I am waiting to get married. I find it interesting that when guys find out that i am a virgin they try really hard to get me to like them. I am usually one step a hide of them. I may be a virgin but I am not stupid. I am not like other girls who you can sweet talk to and have sex with you. Their is a reason why I am 21 and still a virgin?
