What is the youngest man you would date if you were 45 a  yr old woman?

I'm not into dating younger men,but that's what has been approaching me lately. I've been approached by 22-28 year olds ,that's too young for me,but some say I should go for it.

    Would you?

I am 51 and have been in a committed relationship for the past 5 years with a man 8 1/2 years younger than I.
Prior to meeting him, and after my divorce, I dabbled in the dating scene and did have a little fling with a guy 26.
While it was all in fun, I don't think I would want to date someone as old as my kids, so 10 years my junior would probably be enough for me.
That being said, I think that everyone's personalities and preferences are completely different.  I think people with age differences can certainly have a great time together and even be a long term match. it just depends on each individual.
If you like the guy...and he likes you....go for it!

If I had met them as friends then fell in love then possibly, I saw a movie about that recently ( forty something ?) I have never gone for younger guys however if I was on my own & I met someone that I got on well with & they were a bit younger it wouldnt matter, just cant imagine going out with a guy same age as my kids  as they would maybe want children , have diferent ideas on life etc.( my youngest is 19, oldest is 27 !
I wiuldnt tell others not to if that is what made them happy tho.
I am 46 married to a almost 64 yr old  & we are having an amazing time .

    I go by these rules:

No men older than my father
No men younger than my son (or nephew, or the youngest man closest to your heart)

I've never been particularly attracted to younger men, so...35? 40? It's hard to know until I get there, I guess. Considering my current record, the 70- and 80-year-old men are more likely to catch my attention at age 45 than the youngers tongue. That said, my stepson (8 years my junior) has inquired about the possibility I'll turn into a cougar after his dad kicks the bucket...

Let's just say, if I had a personal rule about no men older than my father, I wouldn't be married right now wink.

When I was dating, I always had a five year window.  It wasn't a rule exactly, I just always seemed to be attracted to men that were within five years of my own age.  I do know, like BreakingUp, that I would not be comfortable dating men as old as my father or as young as any of my sons.

I'm over 45 and have been approached by younger men online. I would not date a man younger than I am. I want to be with a man I have things in common with, including the stage of life I'm in. Being with a younger man, especially one just in his 20's, is far too much like robbing the cradle. Yes, it could be nice for an evening. But what are you going to do with him? He just isn't up to your level of maturity - not saying he is immature, just that we are in a different zone.
