At what age did you get married? Was it worthwhile? Do you regret it? Would you recommend it?
18, I was blessed with three children, so yes it was worth it. I do regret marrying someone who could never be faithful. Yes, I would always recommend following your heart, but be smart!
I was 34 when I married the second time. It was and still is worth everything in the world to me. There are no regrets. I would always recommend following your heart! I've known my husband since we were 17. We've both experienced a difficult previous marriage, survived divorce and now we have finally found a love that is trusting, caring, full of love, youthful in adventures and mature enough to withstand the ups and downs.
I was married at 21, my husband was 27. It is absolutely worthwhile. I do not recommend you get married until you are both ready however. Marriage takes more than love to work, which is what most people seem to forget or conveniently ignore. It takes a great many things, especially willingness to compromise, to be able to really listen to another person's wants and desires, and to be honest with both yourself and your significant other. Love is important but the love we think of generally tends to ebb and flow and in those down times you need everything else to make it work.
