Sure if you're just looking to have a good time.  I wouldn't make any long term plans.  (The biggest risk...umm) There's alot of stuff out there, don't forget to use protection. big_smile

If you are just having fun and not committed to another (and he isn't), heck yeah!  Have fun!  Risks:  use protection smile

Well one risk is that you've already 'done' his dad.  More likely though, is the danger that you will have absolutely nothing to talk about. You can combat this by making it a rule that sex is fine but no post coital chat.  That way, he will never make you feel old and you will never make him feel like a kid.  Unless of course this is both what your after, cause it takes all sorts after all.

Oh my god, I can't believe I stumbled on this topic today...I just entered into a relationship I've been seeing on/off for about a month now who is about 20 years older than me (I am in my 20s he his 40s).  Normally I find it creepy when older guys get together with younger women but in our case it feels very natural, and he doesn't seem like he's in his 40s at all (mid to late 30s I originally put him).  However, I'm very hesitant to talk about him to anyone because I'm very aware of the stigma and unorthodoxy of our relationship, so I'll be very interested to follow this topic as it progresses.

The only real question is: Do you make each other happy? Nothing else really matters.
If you truly care about each other, I don't see where you would have more problems than any other couple.

Follow your heart and trust your instincts. Good luck to both of you.

i think that it will go one of three ways, one: the guy gets board with the 40 yr old, for whatever reasons.  this would be because they are at different points in thier life and want different things...(atleast hes legal)..two: the women reinvents herself because of the younger man, but realizes that he is just a fling and leaves the 20 something....three: its a pre-mid life crisis...and things will end way or another...

my advice, even though the  something is smoking hott, thats prob all he is.  he doesnt know who he is or what he wants in life, besides plenty of sex...which might work for the yr old, but eventually sex cant hold up a relationship..there has to be sustance to them (both persons) for it to last.

a whole lot of things come to mind reading this thread:

    1) It is all so complicated?  single, consenting, adult, of similar minds, with similar values - what does it matter who is what age?
    2) as long as no one is married to somebody else
    3) gee, it would be nice if there was a spellcheck tool in the forums!
    4) am I the only one who thinks freedomringz may be using the forums to look for a younger (or older) man smile  because - you go girl!  as long as you're not charging for it!  (joke joke joke!!)
    5) does anybody bother to read these huge posts I write all the time or am I lost in space?  probably should be.

and I forgot all the other things already.  smile
