Do people feel better about themselves after pushing their religion on others?

Is there something gained by pushing your beliefs on other people? What makes people think this is okay?

Great answer, I agree with your assessment of the way they think, I know many people who do that, they are so happy with their faith, that they just want to share. and end up trying to push it down your throat.

I'm okay with sharing beliefs, just not okay with needing to tell others they must share those beliefs regardless of the topic.

I see nothing wrong with that so long as you are okay when someone of a different belief system asks you to keep an open mind. Nothing wrong with sharing beliefs. Just with expecting others to do as you do.

So long as someone who is sharing their views is open to polite debate then I see no problem. It's when it gets to the point of calling names I have a problem with it no matter what the belief behind it is.
