He Has Gone before You!
Scripture Reading: Psalm 23
"Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow (an illusion) of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me and Your rod and staff comfort me. " (Psalm 23:4)
Whatever we may be facing, what joy and comfort to know that Jesus has already gone ahead of us making the path clear. As we walk, Jesus is there right beside us ready to pick us up if we stumble or fall. He is holding our hand and talking to the Heavenly Father about our situation.
Today, tomorrow or a million years from now is no surprise to the LORD. We often think He is falling behind on the job, but He's exactly right where He is supposed to be in your life. When God is leading us, and we are following, we have nothing to fear. Our tomorrows are filled hope and beginnings based on the promises of God.
Pray each day and thank Jesus for going before you securing your tomorrows. Set your eyes on Him not worry or fear about the situation. Trust God and rest on His promises.

God Hears the Prayers of A United Church
Scripture Reading: Acts 2
"And they daily continued with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, and the Lord added to the church daily." (Acts 2:27)
It's nice for any pastor to see new faces in the service each week, along with the faithful regular church family. God promises that He would add to the church daily if the congregation would be faithful in praying for the lost and being a witness. In order for the church to be added to, the current church has to be willing to share the Word of God and lead others to the Lord.
God added to the Body of Christ each day when the people prayed in agreement, fellowshipped with one another and did it with a glad heart. Aren't you glad that people were in agreement when you and I got saved; otherwise who knows where we'd be today. Thank you Lord for the witnesses that were willing to go forth so the church could be added to daily.

Honoring Our Grandparents
Scripture Reading: Proverbs 13
"Gray hair is a crown of splendor:
it is attained by a righteous life." (Proverbs 16:31 NIV)
I enjoy watching grandparents spending time with their grandchildren. The children really love the attention, and the grandparent's are more than willing to accommodate them!
My grandparents passed away before I was born, so I never experience what my friends had with their grandparents. Growing up I often thought about what it would have been like if they had been around.
Did you grow up with grandparents? Did you bake cookies with grandma or stack firewood with grandpa? Do you remember the stories they shared as you sat on their lap, eager to hear the tales of their younger days?
If you can, let your grandparents know you love and appreciate them. Tell them just how much of a blessing they have been to you by sharing your testimony or verse of scripture.

We are to Help Restore God's Family - Scripture Reading: Isaiah 58
"And they that will be of Thee (Jesus), will build the old waste places (places of ruin) you will raise up the foundations of many generations; and you will be called, the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the paths to dwell in." (Isaiah 58:12)
The Bible teaches us that as God's children, it is our responsibility to help rebuild His family and Kingdom.
We are the ones who bring the lost to Christ and help repair to God what satan has stolen from Him. Praise God, that though the blood of Jesus the breach has been restored, and with the might of the Holy Spirit, we are able to spread this gospel message of salvation. Without God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we could not finish the work of Christ, and the foundation of the earth would remain in ruins.
It is an honor to be called to His service. It is an awesome task we are given and we should be pleased God wants to use us.

BONUS Bible Study
4 Keys to Finding Rest
Study verse: "Labor not to be rich." Proverbs 23:4-5
In today's economy, days of laboring seems to be on the rise. More and more people are finding it difficult to gain rest for their physical and spiritual bodies.
September's Bonus Faith Moments Today Bible Study focuses on 4 key elements that will lead us into the rest we need, regardless of what's going on around us.
Week 1 - First we need to acknowledge our rest can only come from God. He alone can carry all our burdens. Unless we cast our cares on Him, our burdens will remain heavy.
Week 2 - Trusting in God is to believe His Word as truth. When we believe Him, we are revived in spirit, which brings with it a time of refreshing.
Week 3 - Because we trust and believe that God knows what is best for us, we welcome the correction from Him. Learning to do what is right and pleasing to God will give us peace and rest in our soul. We'll find strength to do His will.
Week 4 - Trust, believe, and obey God means to act on the correction we have received. When we put those 4 elements together we will live labor-free in spirit and burden free of the cares of the world. Let us labor not to be rich in material things, but labor to be rich spiritually.

Come unto Me All You that Labor
Scripture Reading: Proverbs 23:4-5
Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist. When your eyes light on it, it is gone, for suddenly it sprouts wings, flying like an eagle toward heaven. Proverbs 23:4-5 (ESV)
As we close out the summer months and enter into the Labor Day weekend, many people use this time to refresh and rest from their physical labor. Families try to do one last outing together before the children start back to school.
Jesus knew that we would need another kind of rest ... a rest from the labor of being burdened with the cares of this world.
"Come unto me (Jesus) all you that labor and
are heavy laden, and I will give you the rest you need." (Matthew 11:28)
If you are seeking any kind of rest, (emotional, physical, or anything) go to the Lord. He is waiting to give you the rest you need. Acknowledge now that your rest can only come from God. Believe it, recieve it, act on it.

Receive Correction
Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 5:3
O Lord, do not your eyes look for truth? You have struck them down, but they felt no anguish; you have consumed them, but they refused to take correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; they have refused to repent. Jeremiah 5:3 (ESV)
Are you a person who is able to receive correction for your actions and not get angry? I know that for me sometimes it can be a source of contention if I let it. God tells us that in order for us to be used to glorify Him, we must have a servant's heart that is willing to be corrected.
A good servant receives correction and makes the changes needed for improvement. Ask the Lord to help you receive the correction you need so you can grow spiritually and be used by Him.
She listens to no voice; she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the Lord; she does not draw near to her God. Zephaniah 3:2 (ESV)
(But) A wise man will hear and do so he will increase learning. (Proverbs 1:5)
Hear instruction and be wise, and do not neglect it. Proverbs 8:33 (ESV)
Give instruction[a] to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. Proverbs 9:9 (ESV)

Revival Fire Fall ~ Holy Spirit Pour out from Heaven
Paul Baloche/Lindell Cooley
Revive Us Again
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 57:15
For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:"I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 57:15 (ESV)
The first week of September God has led us to set aside for revival meetings. Last year we were blessed by His mighty work and we were renewed in our Spirit as we fellowshipped with other believers.
As we enter into our meetings this week, pray that the Holy Spirit moves on the people so that the hearts of men are revived and they return to Him. It's time to trust in God and believe His Word as truth.
Revival Fire fall on us.
Pour out from Heaven

Pray to Jesus right now by repeating this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I am sorry for my sins and for not believing in You as the One and only true God. I now want to make things right with You. Please come into my heart and save me. Forgive me of all my sins and make me clean.
I do believe that You died on the cross to save me from hell, and that You rose from the dead and are now in Heaven.
With all my heart I will follow you and be obedient to Your Word, and will fellowship with other believers. Thank you for saving me today.
In Your name I pray, Amen.

Believe and Act
Scripture Reading: Hebrews 4:14
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Hebrews 4:14 (ESV)
Many times we have asked God for something and while we wait for it to come, out confession begins to change over what we asked God for. We begin to barter down on what we originally asked God to do for us. Our expectations decrease and we often settle for less.
If you are waiting for God to do something you asked Him to do, don't let the devil steal your confession. Don't let him talk you out of what you asked God.
God gives substance that produces tangible evidence when your faith is mixed with His Word and your unwavering confession. Act on the correction from God, then hold fast to your confession no matter what things look like in the natural ... things are about to change.
"Let us hold fast to our confession without wavering." (Hebrews 10:23)
Stick with us this year.
