Are we in the End Times?

I have been reading a couple of books that talk about America and how it's days are numbered.  I love my country, but according to these books--"America" "The Mystery of the Shemitah," "The Harbinger" and "The End of America," we will one day no longer be the world power that we are.  It was once said by Abraham Lincoln that America would never be overtaken by another country, but that it would be the cause of its own demise.  In other words, Americans will take themselves down.  People who have studied the bible believe that America is "the daughter of babylon" that is described in Revelations.  Once America is out of the way, Israel will be ripe for the picking.

I also read in one of these books that the Anti-Christ may be Muslim, and Islam may be the religion people are forced to practice, or else lose their heads.  Then the Anti-Christ will convince the world the he himself is God.

I am not trying to bash Islam by any means--I am just telling you what the book says.

I see that you have been reading Johnathan Cahn.  The short answer is. YES!  The last days actually started at the beginning.  There is no end without there first being a beginning.

Now, as far as the harbingers, I am not sold that the man is right but I am not saying he is wrong.  He could very well be right in all of his research and what he wrote in his books.

The Shemitah is the year when all debts are cancelled out and the land is allowed to rest, no plowing, planting etc. . .   It is also told that there will be four blood moons during this shemitah year, of which two have happened already.  Four blood moons in one shemitah year is almost unheard of.

I look at what is written in the Bible.  The Bible gives us signs to tell us that the end is very near.  Sin abounds and most are proud of their sins.  Menb are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of their fellowman.  Daughters are against mothers, sons against fathers, etc. . .  Very little natural affection anymore.

That begs the question then, are you in favor of what the book says regarding Islam or do you oppose it as completely false?

It must be one or the other, for why else would you have posted that little tidbit in the first place?

No, I am not in favor of Islam at all.  I am a Christian.

In other words, you refuse to accept other religions. That is why Christianity causes so much conflict and grief in the world, it teaches is followers to be intolerant to others who are not Christians.

            Ok. Let's compare tolerance!

Which countries are the most tolerant to various religions & minority groups ?

"Christian" style democracies, or Muslim dominated ones?

Then, take tally of all violent uprisings, acts of terrorism & unrest. Which religion is behind these?

Spare us the history lesson & just look at the current situation.

For the unwary, it will be most convincing!
No doubt, he will cause all people to choose.
"Follow me, and live (to worship me), or die!"
Incidentally, by beheading! Please refer to my thread below.

Pretty much. If you boil it down to it's simplest form.

That is a "catholic church" thing, of medieval times. NOT New Testament teaching, or doctrine.
I'm sure you are well educated in that part of the Bible!

So not much different from islam.

Christanity got out of dark age as more and more turned away even at the cost of their life, islam will follow suit. One has to allow that islam is 600 years younger.
Quran also don't teach to attack unless the enemy is bent on attacking that is, it is less violent that the psycopathic OT god who incidentally is jesus himself(christian teaching not mine).

      We are indeed!

If you are watching/reading/listening or relying on the mainstream media, you will likely miss what's really going on. They are simply NOT feeding it to us.

As one news site repeats often "if it's not to do with Palestinians suffering" then it's not news, though hundredfold atrocities are being committed daily, in various parts of the world.

Couple that with the deterioration of just about every social, economic moral et-al area, we are undergoing the fastest, most dramatic changes (for the worse) humanity has ever seen.

Don't bury your heads in the sand. Please wake up! We are running out of time (literally)!

People have been saying the same thing for 2000 years. However I submit to you that it's best to warn the general public. I personally own a series of billboards throughout north America and I suggest you invest all of your money in advertising your cause on a media that is visible to people who need your information. Send your money directly to my paypal account and I'll have this looked after immediately. Hurry there is no time!

Yes, I truly believe we are in the last days.  We are, as His Word tell us, having birthing pains ... the signs are getting closer and closer together, just a birth pains or pangs, and ever-increasing.  Each day I log onto the Internet, there is some natural disaster like never before, or signs in the universe ... all the signs are here this day and time and are increasing each day and not spread out like they once were in history, but are happening closer and closer.  Keep looking up and watching.  The most important thing for all to know is to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for after the rapture happens ...

I don't believe all the specific things you have stated but indeed it should not be hard to see that America has been brought down on purpose but the end times is not about America; it is about Israel and those days are at the door for sure. America should never turn her back on Israel and all Christians should know that; for it is the one thing commanded of us by the God of us and of Israel. One and the same.

Well...christianity was the religion people were forced to worship or die long before Islam started doing it. Now, in America at least, the majority of people dont want to lob off your head if you arent a christian, instead some just condem you to eternal punishmemt in hell and still sleep soundly at night. A step up i guess.

The downfall of america will have little to nothing to do with religion. Politics on the other hand...much more likely. That i can see happening somewhat soon

It means when you acted like being Christian "explains" being anti-Islam--this is actually not a universal truth or real explanation. Even the Pope is not anti-Islam (or Jewish,or atheist) and I am pretty sure he is Christian..

When you say that 'we are in the last days' my mind wonders (a whole lot). For instance, a day (our time) is like milliseconds in our Father's eyes. Even though we are in the last 'days', this era may last for thousands of years.

As far as 'The End of America' goes, this country was doomed the day it became the United States of America- evil don't ever last.
