Seeing the forum main page spammed with pointless religion threads, I finally realized that the main question is, are humans mad?

Both atheists and theists are mad, don't you think so?

I've now come up with an idea. It's called the Religion Protocol. It is an agreement signed by atheists and theists. No more endless pointless debating on religion threads.

Reason: We aren't going to change our views, thus we are heading nowhere but pointlessness.

Once you sign the protocol, it is advised that you do not argue or debate on religion threads. You are not forbidden to post on them though. But you should not argue or debate on them. Please do remember this is a protocol, not a rule. This is just a guideline, if you sign it, it means that you agree not to debate and argue on them. If you choose to do so, then I suggest you should not sign this protocol.

    Aims
    - Reduce religious spam emissions by 80% by the end of the century
    - Get 100 atheists and 100 theists to sign the protocol
    - Reduce the number of religion topics made every month by 50%

We now need people to sign up.

If you want to sign the protocol, please post here and state your status (i.e. atheist or theist). If not, then don't post here. The list will be posted on every page for I just discovered I cannot edit old posts.

Forget about the other thread. There's too many mistakes.

It seems that agreeing to not post religous threads on the religion forum is like agreeing to not bringing the ball to the foot ball game. What we should all agree on is to not bring baseball bats to the football game. I enjoy reading an athiest point of view though I am not athiest. Your questions and statements help me to question what and why I believe what I do. Too many people do not question their own beliefs, only those of others. We do not see our own faults any easier than we can see the back side of our own knee caps. We rely on athiests to point out own weeknesses so that we can streighten that area. So  thank you and keep up the good work.

This topic is for signing the protocol, not for discussion on spelling. Thanks.

Very Good....A Political Answer to a Simple Question.

I'm beginning to see that this "Protocol" Progam can not with stand the certain scrutiny that will follow...

Honestly when I first joined HP ,I thought the 'Religious' threads would be like discussing similar beleifs not an ongoing pull-apart debate ,duke 'em out bickering back n forth.

It never seems to matter about the Title either.

My opinion is its a battle between the superpowers and we are the pawns smile

We do have to realize that no one can change the opinion of another, they have to do that themselves. but without exposure to other opinions our mind is stuck in the mud so to speak. Knowledge is like every other living thing. it will grow or it will fade away
