    Hi all! smile

I am not going to argue and debate with my brothers and sisters in Christ and I know we do not battle flesh and blood so I'm not posting this to do that either.

Just wanted to share this with all of you....

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IN348KzAXPM

I believe since Jesus did that for us, the least we can do is not concern ourselves so much with whether or not someone feels "offended", but give consideration to what Jesus did for all mankind and share His truth with everyone. smile

    God Bless

Good work. You call them to US. Well Done. You will be rewarded. 12 souls this day have you pushed to us.

Superb work in fact. You should not be concerned with those who feel "offended," - it is not your job to be concerned - if that are so shallow as to  be "offended," surely that is their concern - not yours. Shout louder sister. We need all we can find.

Yes yes - louder. They cannot hear. Do not be concerned for them. If they are "offended" this is not for you to be concerned with. They must listen to  the word. This is what is important. The WORD does not change - no matter what they think. Louder. Atomswifey, louder.
Be not concerned with their "offense," it means nothing to you - you have the word.

As much as I am loathe to agree with Earnest; but even the scriptures say "Let your yes be your yes, and your no be your no."

In other words don't sit on the fence, don't constantly change your mind, and don't say you'll do one action; just to do another one.

I'm not telling you to leave, but you need to decide what you're going to do, and stick with it.  Not act like a leaf in the wind.

hey eaglekiwi have you heard it? this new song by , Nicole Mullens "call on Jesus"?

I posted the link because I think it really sums up how we feel with our faith in Christ.

  16. atomswifey profile image59
    atomswifeyposted 14 years ago

    call on Jesus lyrics:
    Verse 1:
I'm so very ordinary, nothing special on my own.
Oh, I have never walked on water,
And I have never calmed a storm.
Sometimes I'm hiding away from the madness around me
Like a child who's afraid of the dark

    Chorus:
But when I call on Jesus,
    All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles' and soar
    When I call on Jesus,
    Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call

La la la la la, la la la la la

    Verse 2:
    Weary brother, broken daughter,
Widowed, Widowed lover you're not alone
If you're tired and scared of the madness around you
If you can't find the strength to carry on

    Chorus:
    When you call on Jesus,
    All things are possible
You can mount on wings like eagles' and soar
    When you call on Jesus,
    Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue you when you--

    Bridge:
Call Him in the morning', in the afternoon time
Late in the evening' He'll be there
    When your heart is broken,
    And you feel discouraged,
You can just remember that He said
    He'll be there

    Chorus (2x):
    When I call on Jesus,
    All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles' and soar
    When I call on Jesus,
    Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me (back to top first time, 2nd time finish with "when I call")

Let that be a lesson to everyone, wait on his will before you make the first decision.  A local preacher's daughter became slightly pregnant and the lord called him down to a small church in Florida.  The church he left was a huge operation which paid a very good salary.  The new church couldn't afford to pay him much. So shortly after the daughter was married the lord called him back to his old church.  No kidding, he had the gall to announce both of the lord's decisions to the congregation.

I guess the lord has trouble making up his mind sometimes.

    1. atomswifey profile image59
atomswifeyposted 14 years agoin reply to this

      LOL
Yep I like the word slightly there as well make money smile

But in response to you Randy, I don't believe God has trouble making up His mind, but sometimes we have trouble listening and doing Gods will.
Sometimes we like to think we know better than He does. smile
And in those cases, God says, "ok, Im here if you want my help with that".
      And
Sometimes we think we are doing what God wants before actually waiting on His will. Which is where I found myself. smile

  22. Randy Godwin profile image59

And sometimes people will use the "lords will" to make excuses for things they don't want to admit they are responsible for or can't explain.  We have probably all witnessed this at one time or another.  The story about the preacher with the "slightly" pregnant daughter is true and the few details I gave doesn't nearly tell the whole story.  Perhaps a few south Georgia "snake handlin'" stories could better emphasize my meaning.LOL

  23. LEFT HAND OF GOD profile image59

It is good to say one might be leaving for a season and might return rather than to be so final. If one is final and invokes GOD in the finality, one must never return lest they look like a fool and give reason to mock GOD and them having to answer for idle words.

    1. Randy Godwin profile image59
Randy Godwinposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Actually, if the preacher were a braver man he would have stayed in the beginning and held his head high because his daughter was no more less human than any other man's child.  But in my observation most clergymen like to think they are a little above the common sinner sitting in the pews.  I know they like to hear themselves talk!

Speaking for myself and not this preacher, I did not invoke in the finality of my leaving the forum God. I just said simply, this is my last post on the religion forum. It could have meant that night, for a day or two, a week or month. That is why I stated it the way I did.

I sought God and found my answer, His will. It was confirmed over the next several days by several believers some I did not even know through email that I should come back and not be moved.

      so here I am smile
cannot say anything on behalf of this preacher and his "slightly" pregnant daughter. LOL lol
I am sorry Randy but I am still laughing over that smile
I know, I know, it is meant to say probably she wasn't that far along, but to put it into those terms was really comical.

      1. Randy Godwin profile image59

It was meant to be comical, it's part of an old southern joke.  About you using "God's will" as an excuse, don't worry about it as I don't take it seriously.  These two words are used for anything from mass murder to total catastrophes.  Babies killed, airplane crashes, floods, famine, and all other types of tragedies are explained away with this simple utterance.  So you see, your use of these words pales in comparison to those other explanations for tragedy occurring on earth.

Maybe the lady just forgot she had it.  I was subbing for a lady that was out of her class room for a few months, but one day she came in to clean up her room.  I had put my Chicago CD in the player to listen to when I was working, but some how she thought it was her Phil Collins CD and took it home with her.  It actually took awhile for me to get the CD back, but it turned out just to be a mistake.  On the converse side I knew a professor who said he would not lend out movies to students anymore because these usually never came back.

I guess he went back on his stance because he ended up lending out a movie, but asked me a year later if I knew the student who never brought the movie back.  He was just asking some students in passing because it was a rare movie that he would have a hard time getting again.  He did not seem upset or anything, just wanted it back.  I think on both sides, teachers, students, and everyone items sometimes do not come back. It is just life unfortunately.  I never did get back a copy of a book I gave to a friend once, but I also realized I could buy a new one if I really wanted it again.

My reference to the CD was about the story when the teacher took my Chicago CD inadvertently.  That was all I meant.  I really do not like to loan things out either because I have lost several books that way.

Jesus - Another man who believed he was a prophet.  He was executed by the Jewish Nation for a reason--he was a traitor and agitator to the people in a time when unification was very important.  Made an example out of him--common of the times.

He did not die for me--that's my perception and thus I am not inherently wrong or right, that simple.

atomswifeyposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Jesus did die for you. For all of mankind. Whether history shows this as a fact or not is immaterial to Him and all who believe Him to be the Messiah.

The Jews did not crucify Jesus, the Romans did as they the Jews were ruled by the Romans at the time.
But this is neither here nor there, as the punishment Jesus suffered was more torturous than any human should have been subjected to and even more so could endure, yet He did! All up until His words Spoke it to end, His words spoke it into existence to stop "It is finished".
What was the last act on the cross?
To forgive the murderer next to Him on the cross. "Today you will be with me in Paradise".
And if even for this one, He would have been born, suffered and died.
      That is love.

Gods chosen people are Jews. He loves them, favors them. That is why it is there in their homeland where He chose to send The Messiah, Jesus. One day the Jewish nation will recognize and proclaim Jesus is Lord! As will we all. smile

You will bow down one day!

All will bend their knee and beg for forgiveness!

        So it is written.

I agree with this one. There is only one possible interpretation of the bible. This has been proven to be so. There has never been any disagreement over it. And atomswifey has the correct interpretation. If you ask her - she will tell you the correct one. That business about women not preaching - lies and misinterpretation - not that that is possible with the bible. She will tell you.

Listen to this one - she has the TRUTH.

If the holy bible was to be re-written to bear relevance to the 21st century, do you think that it would be supportive of content theft? Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.

the title of this forum reminds me of the story of John Bowels.
John was an native American living in a teepee on a piece of land.  One day surveyors came by and told John he would have to move because there was a highway coming thru.  He told them, " Bowels no move!"  They gave him the card with an address on it and told him to see this lawyer.  John went to the office building at the address and inadvertantly went in to the doctors office instead of the lawyers office.  When he finally got in, the doctor asked him why he was there.  John replied,  "Bowels no move!"  So the doctor gave him some medicene and told him to come back if it didn't do the trick.  A few days later John returned to the doctor and proclaimed, "Bowels still no move!".  So the doctor gave him a much stronger  medicene and confidently told John that should help solve the problem.  A few days later John returned and once again proclaimed, "Bowels no move!"  The doctor was baffled but gave John the strongest medicene he had and told John that he was sure this would work.  But if it didn't come back and see him.  Sure enough, a few days later, John returned.  Dejectedly he muttered, "Bowels move, teepee full of sh%t!"
