I believe since Jesus did that for us, the least we can do is not concern ourselves so much with whether or not someone feels "offended", but give consideration to what Jesus did for all mankind and share His truth with everyone.
Good work. You call them to US. Well Done. You will be rewarded. 12 souls this day have you pushed to us.
Superb work in fact. You should not be concerned with those who feel "offended," - it is not your job to be concerned - if that are so shallow as to be "offended," surely that is their concern - not yours. Shout louder sister. We need all we can find.
Yes yes - louder. They cannot hear. Do not be concerned for them. If they are "offended" this is not for you to be concerned with. They must listen to the word. This is what is important. The WORD does not change - no matter what they think. Louder. Atomswifey, louder. Be not concerned with their "offense," it means nothing to you - you have the word.
And thank you my friend. Not so much changed my mind just prayed a lot and asked God what He thought. Not my will but His in other words. Also received a bunch of encouraging confirmations from other believers about it all.
call on Jesus lyrics: Verse 1: I'm so very ordinary, nothing special on my own. Oh, I have never walked on water, And I have never calmed a storm. Sometimes I'm hiding away from the madness around me Like a child who's afraid of the dark
Chorus: But when I call on Jesus, All things are possible I can mount on wings like eagles' and soar When I call on Jesus, Mountains are gonna fall 'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call
La la la la la, la la la la la
Verse 2: Weary brother, broken daughter, Widowed, Widowed lover you're not alone If you're tired and scared of the madness around you If you can't find the strength to carry on
Chorus: When you call on Jesus, All things are possible You can mount on wings like eagles' and soar When you call on Jesus, Mountains are gonna fall 'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue you when you--
Bridge: Call Him in the morning', in the afternoon time Late in the evening' He'll be there When your heart is broken, And you feel discouraged, You can just remember that He said He'll be there
Chorus (2x): When I call on Jesus, All things are possible I can mount on wings like eagles' and soar When I call on Jesus, Mountains are gonna fall 'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me (back to top first time, 2nd time finish with "when I call")
Let that be a lesson to everyone, wait on his will before you make the first decision. A local preacher's daughter became slightly pregnant and the lord called him down to a small church in Florida. The church he left was a huge operation which paid a very good salary. The new church couldn't afford to pay him much. So shortly after the daughter was married the lord called him back to his old church. No kidding, he had the gall to announce both of the lord's decisions to the congregation.
I guess the lord has trouble making up his mind sometimes.
LOL Yep I like the word slightly there as well make money
But in response to you Randy, I don't believe God has trouble making up His mind, but sometimes we have trouble listening and doing Gods will. Sometimes we like to think we know better than He does. And in those cases, God says, "ok, Im here if you want my help with that". And Sometimes we think we are doing what God wants before actually waiting on His will. Which is where I found myself.
And sometimes people will use the "lords will" to make excuses for things they don't want to admit they are responsible for or can't explain. We have probably all witnessed this at one time or another. The story about the preacher with the "slightly" pregnant daughter is true and the few details I gave doesn't nearly tell the whole story. Perhaps a few south Georgia "snake handlin'" stories could better emphasize my meaning.LOL
It is good to say one might be leaving for a season and might return rather than to be so final. If one is final and invokes GOD in the finality, one must never return lest they look like a fool and give reason to mock GOD and them having to answer for idle words.
Actually, if the preacher were a braver man he would have stayed in the beginning and held his head high because his daughter was no more less human than any other man's child. But in my observation most clergymen like to think they are a little above the common sinner sitting in the pews. I know they like to hear themselves talk!
cosette!!!! We just found a common thread!!! I am so very happy lol I love love love Rear Window! It is my fav!! and yes, it was hot! Also I think Grace Kelly looked amazing in that film, not that she didn't in To catch a Thief.
I still think when I watch it that knowing the guy saw them, he should have tried calling "Doyle" when his nurse was there. And not be left alone! lol but then the suspenseful ending would not have been
Speaking for myself and not this preacher, I did not invoke in the finality of my leaving the forum God. I just said simply, this is my last post on the religion forum. It could have meant that night, for a day or two, a week or month. That is why I stated it the way I did.
I sought God and found my answer, His will. It was confirmed over the next several days by several believers some I did not even know through email that I should come back and not be moved.
so here I am cannot say anything on behalf of this preacher and his "slightly" pregnant daughter. LOL I am sorry Randy but I am still laughing over that I know, I know, it is meant to say probably she wasn't that far along, but to put it into those terms was really comical.
It was meant to be comical, it's part of an old southern joke. About you using "God's will" as an excuse, don't worry about it as I don't take it seriously. These two words are used for anything from mass murder to total catastrophes. Babies killed, airplane crashes, floods, famine, and all other types of tragedies are explained away with this simple utterance. So you see, your use of these words pales in comparison to those other explanations for tragedy occurring on earth.
Maybe the lady just forgot she had it. I was subbing for a lady that was out of her class room for a few months, but one day she came in to clean up her room. I had put my Chicago CD in the player to listen to when I was working, but some how she thought it was her Phil Collins CD and took it home with her. It actually took awhile for me to get the CD back, but it turned out just to be a mistake. On the converse side I knew a professor who said he would not lend out movies to students anymore because these usually never came back.
I guess he went back on his stance because he ended up lending out a movie, but asked me a year later if I knew the student who never brought the movie back. He was just asking some students in passing because it was a rare movie that he would have a hard time getting again. He did not seem upset or anything, just wanted it back. I think on both sides, teachers, students, and everyone items sometimes do not come back. It is just life unfortunately. I never did get back a copy of a book I gave to a friend once, but I also realized I could buy a new one if I really wanted it again.
Yea I'm like that professor now after that teacher took my tape, yes it was a tape not a CD lmao. And I think it was more of her NOT listening to me and totally spacing out when I told her that I had this great person to listen too and yea... lol
My reference to the CD was about the story when the teacher took my Chicago CD inadvertently. That was all I meant. I really do not like to loan things out either because I have lost several books that way.
Jesus - Another man who believed he was a prophet. He was executed by the Jewish Nation for a reason--he was a traitor and agitator to the people in a time when unification was very important. Made an example out of him--common of the times.
He did not die for me--that's my perception and thus I am not inherently wrong or right, that simple.
Jesus did die for you. For all of mankind. Whether history shows this as a fact or not is immaterial to Him and all who believe Him to be the Messiah.
The Jews did not crucify Jesus, the Romans did as they the Jews were ruled by the Romans at the time. But this is neither here nor there, as the punishment Jesus suffered was more torturous than any human should have been subjected to and even more so could endure, yet He did! All up until His words Spoke it to end, His words spoke it into existence to stop "It is finished". What was the last act on the cross? To forgive the murderer next to Him on the cross. "Today you will be with me in Paradise". And if even for this one, He would have been born, suffered and died. That is love.
Gods chosen people are Jews. He loves them, favors them. That is why it is there in their homeland where He chose to send The Messiah, Jesus. One day the Jewish nation will recognize and proclaim Jesus is Lord! As will we all.
Thanks be to The Eternal God for giving himself for the world. In all our fighting amongst one another over this, that and the other, in all our daily concerns we forget what He has done for us. Thank you Father for using atomswifey to remind us what Your Son endured for us and why You sent Him. The price He paid no man can comprehend.
You're welcome yolanda. And I thank the Lord Jesus so very much for loving all of us so much He would endure all of that for us. Thank you Lord, thank you. Seeing what He must have went through makes me feel far less than worthy of it. But God sees all of us worthy. He loves with such great love we cannot even fathom it.
I agree with this one. There is only one possible interpretation of the bible. This has been proven to be so. There has never been any disagreement over it. And atomswifey has the correct interpretation. If you ask her - she will tell you the correct one. That business about women not preaching - lies and misinterpretation - not that that is possible with the bible. She will tell you.
Correct Interpretation of the Bible and the scriptures contained therein comes from people who have that gift given to them by the Holy Spirit.
Those of you who doubt and disbelieve or twist and misconstrued it do not possess that gift. You are not nor do you assert to have the Holy Spirit within you. So your worldly view of it is not correct and will not be because you are blinded to the truth of it. That is why Jesus spoke in parables to try to illustrate the truth to those who could see it that way.
Satan quoted scripture to Jesus himself, though he was blind to who Jesus was and is. He was also blind to the scripture he quoted and lied and twisted it in a feeble attempt to get Jesus to prove Gods power to him. God will not be mocked.
That is what I am saying. I am very, very impressed with you. It is obvious you are speaking with the holy spirit in you and will not be moved - no matter the offense caused or the mocking of the unbelievers. I am with you 100% - you are my kind of believer.
Well done. Excellent. Ignore the conflict. If only others could just see what I see - there would be no fight and we could all get along. If only they could see that you have the Holy Spirit in you and speak the TRUTH.
Once you have got every one to to see this there will be no more conflict. Keep up the superb work you are doing. No matter we are from different denominations. Wonderful stuff !
no read it earnest and keep citing that evidence and drawing your own conclusions from it. Science has not proven you are right earnest in your conlusions and they will not, ever because He does exist, He is there.
You can look at the scientific evidence and say "see, proof he does not exist!" But where is that proof to come to that conclusion? You can take that very evidence you spout and draw a different conclusion from it altogether.
God said, "Let there be light, and it was so." uhm big bang maybe? Possibly, yes. And on and on.
The probability that it was all random is virtually non-existent and you know this, but ignore it.
Bottom line, you draw your conclusion from the evidence and we as believers draw our conclusions from it as well. But more than this we draw our belief by following our heart in the matter as well. What we feel. You use only partial senses in your perception of what you think might be right. You have told believers they are failing to be open minded, we say you fail to open your heart.
So why are you constantly unwilling to give your own interpretation without copying and pasting other peoples work, and undermining their online businesses? If the holy bible was to be re-written to bear relevance to the 21st century, do you think that it would be supportive of content theft? Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
I am a Christian, but I am not gullible. Why do we argue religion on the hubs? I don't call people names if they don't believe as I do. I practice tolerance. Why are so many agnostics and atheists so intolerant of others? I don't get it.
Read the holier than thou stuff we are being told, and how we are going to rot in hell for centuries.... it goes on all over these forums. If you had not noticed I leave those who do not claim to own the truth alone, Christian or whatever. Many Christians here are not zealots.
the title of this forum reminds me of the story of John Bowels. John was an native American living in a teepee on a piece of land. One day surveyors came by and told John he would have to move because there was a highway coming thru. He told them, " Bowels no move!" They gave him the card with an address on it and told him to see this lawyer. John went to the office building at the address and inadvertantly went in to the doctors office instead of the lawyers office. When he finally got in, the doctor asked him why he was there. John replied, "Bowels no move!" So the doctor gave him some medicene and told him to come back if it didn't do the trick. A few days later John returned to the doctor and proclaimed, "Bowels still no move!". So the doctor gave him a much stronger medicene and confidently told John that should help solve the problem. A few days later John returned and once again proclaimed, "Bowels no move!" The doctor was baffled but gave John the strongest medicene he had and told John that he was sure this would work. But if it didn't come back and see him. Sure enough, a few days later, John returned. Dejectedly he muttered, "Bowels move, teepee full of sh%t!"
My heart is open atomswife, I do not invent an exclusive club that only the "believers" can enter, I do not ostracize others whose beliefs although the same as mine vary slightly, I do not tell people that fables and myths are the truth or the word of some unseen never heard entity. I do not spout as truth that I have faith in something ridiculous that you MUST believe or die. You miss the mark in every way, you claim that anyone who does not believe this rot secretly does believe it and ascribe those reasons for postings, when all we are trying to do is point out what you are doing to others.

Hi friendsMirza Ghulam Ahmad 1835-1908 has given many proofs from the Bible; that Jesus did not die on the Cross. One such proof is as follows:Let it be noted that though Christians believe that Jesus (peace be on him)...
