Why are there so many Religion & Beliefs topics on the Forums?
A lot of people are uncertain about what they believe, so they like to battle each other to reassure themselves of their own (uncertain) beliefs...
I believe there are a host of people in the world who thrive on arguing and debating. Religion lends itself to huge differences of opinion so that along with politics is grand fodder for "discussion."
people is really trying to get information out and it just so happen to b n the Religion & Believe area.http://hubpages.com/hub/godwhoattains
religion and politics are two topics one should never talk about -- so everyone DOES talk about them because we can still do things we should not do....
it is fun to be alive isn't it?
because we live in a fictitious world were ignorance is awarded which results in many people having irrational beliefs and like to express their ignorance through the sophisticated form of online forums ! UNFORTUNATELY
Hubpages has an international presence. Writers from all over the world contribute. In a world with almost 7 Billion people living in it I think it would be impossible for everyone one to believe in one religion!
In all honesty I suspect there are far more "gender relations" topics and forums than religus ones.
Because ...
People, have always Searched for, and are always, Searching for, The Truth.
Its a matter of life and death
Therefore, the present Search on Hubpages Forums, for, Truth ... is quite normal, especially when every Religion and Belief is "claiming" being, the only Truth ...
People... meaning, normal people ... you and me, thus, get confused, by these claims and counterclaims ...
Because, common folks do not have any benchmark, measure, or yardstick ... to judge the validity of these Claims and Counter claims by Religions, it's followers, and Believers ... all ... simultaneously claiming ... Following the only ... Truth. Thus, Religion and Belief, held, within any Faith, is held, as, the Truth ...
This leads to debates among Believing humans ... where one's word is pitted against the other's word ...
This debate, and at times, one killing the other ... is why so many Religion & Belief Topics appear ... on the world's Forums.
I pray, may the Seekers turn to the holy Koran.

it's kind of the origin of the Universe and how we came to be...only slightly important
People need to believe in something. God, and religion, is one of the most comforting beliefs. While I personally am an atheist, I like to believe that I respect peoples beliefs. However, you're right - far too many people try to enforce their thinking and religious affiliations on Hubpages. I just stay away from such discussions. Far too many people are blind believers who have a major disconnect with rational debate. Also, let's not even say that most of the topics on the forums are debates. They are just spaces occupied by like-minded people patting each other on the back.
Am clueless! However I wish I could find more Q&As on writing.
I don't know. When I first joined hubpages, prior to signing up, I read a review about this website. There was a post script in the review that you'll find many 'religion and beliefs topics in the forum and question answer's section', I didn't pay much attention, but when I signed up, I notice myself. These questions are over-whelming, they shouldn't be here in such a manner.
"Religion and belief" will always be open to debate as no religious beliefs can be proven, hence the word "belief". We all have our own beliefs and I suppose this is probably an ideal place to voice them, should one wish to openly discuss them. Personally I keep my beliefs to myself, they are not open to debate!
There is a very high percentage of religious fanaticism on the internet and these kinds of forums reflect this imbalance.
This is a great place to post your opinion and also read many other opnions on the same subject.

With all the back and forth on these religion forums, I was just wondering has there been even one person, who has been convinced otherwise from their original beliefs. The atheists say one thing the theists say another, then there is the differences in religions and doctrines.Tell me please has...

Why do people assume the worst of you the moment you mention religion on the Hub forums? There is no compulsion in religion so when we are having a debate on secular and religious topics why does it wind up the atheists. If you don't believe in religion then don't waste your time commenting on...

I was just looking at the titles of the threads for the forums and was immediately struck by the large number of religious topics, many of which have God in the title. I am just wondering why there are so many religious posts here at present? It makes hubpages look as if it is full of religious...

I enjoyed this well-rounded article by a Mormon and a professor of religious history. Have any of you read it and do you have any comments on it? I'll try putting the link here and hope it works.http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/04/opini … .html?_r=2

Why do some people love to shove their ideas and beliefs down other people's throats? You know, there are certain people with certain beliefs. They believe that only their idea is right and nothing else is. If you don't believe them for whatever reason, they call you names -- ignorant, moron, yada,...

Why are there so many rude responses to Hubs in the Religion and Philosophy topics? When we disagree, must we be rude and condescending?
