   Just read some hubs I have written. None of my demonic encounters happened any where near Halloween.

   Yes I do believe in spirits do to personal experiences, both good and one that was rather terrible and I hope will never happen again.

   Since it's Halloween? Regardless of my faith-based beliefs, I do believe in ghosts or spirits as some call them. When I was young we had one in our home. Being a little girl my mother would tell me it was my imagination, but as I grew older I knew better. I do not care what people say, spirits roam the earth. In the Bible they speak of spirits and when we die there is another place (purgatory). It is written and I have not added to the word of God. So is there spirits?    God created angels which in the Hebrew scriptures are sometimes referred to as spirits. They are always obedient to Him and submit to His authority. Satan and demons are mythical and found their way into Jewish national conciousness by absorbing Zoroastrian ideas during their exile in Babylon after the Persians took over. During the next 400 years they became part ofJewish superstition and later by the Church.

   Unfortunately, I do not believe in spirits.  If they did exist, we wouldn't need to "believe" in them because they would be commonly experienced, so we would know.  My nan believed in an afterlife, and said that when she died, she would come back and visit me.  27 years after her death, I am still waiting.  It is comforting to believe that spirits exist, and many people after the death of a loved one have asked them to make themselves known, but I don't know anyone who has had their prayers answered. 
   
   I am open to the possibility, but belief in something would need to be based on a little bit of evidence.

    Whether spirits, ghosts, or devils. they are all thought forms seeking for ways to express themselves, and are empowered or demoted by their effects on you. No spirit exist outside you. All come from within your very being.

    Halloween is the time where the most pagan worship is in occurance. So I think that demonic presence is probably at an all time high. Where I live, in a nearby town things happen that I can't even talk about. And when you love the Lord with all your heart and soul, you can definitely discern. What people do on Earth affects the heavens and will bring with it decay or blessings.
