Is there a word for a group of religious people that...
live in one location. Multiple homes on one property where a group of religious people stay together.
a compound of some sort sounds like - some religious sects do engage in communal living
...Or you could always be creative and use two words, like "cluster cults." Ha!
I think that most cults do this...cults have their exclusive culture that segregate them from the outside society to remain pure and faithful in their religious beliefs.
It's a commune. Like the Amish and Mennonites. They are a group of Christian church fellowships that form a subgroup of the Mennonite churches. They're cool people if you ask me
Religious groups scare me. Scariest things are: #5 Bikers. #4 Mafia. #3 The Government. #2 Children. #1 Religious Groups. SCARY!
C U L T In all seriousness, this sounds like a compound, on which the cult or sect as they prefer to be called would commune, which is why they call it a commune. Short for community, commonly held buildings and property on which a group of people other than a blood family occupy.
Thanks for the answers. Ran across a group who called our company and is now a customer. They had 8 homes on one property, gardens everywhere, and they were very nice. Kind of funny though because they have no clue they called an atheist and would freak probably if they knew. They were kind and paid so their business is the same as anyone else.
Thanks again for the answers.

Atheists sometimes claim that & they do have some reason for such claims. Whats your views on this? & WHY?Remember, exceptions should not be examples. We are talking about the majority of the group not individuals.

Do you believe non-religious people, who lead a good life, are still going to hell? One of my biggest frustrations with religion is the idea that, how you live your life is of no consequence if you do not accept god. For example, John Smith is a good christian man who helps people, obeys the law and...

Why is it assumed that Morals are dictated by Religion? Doesn't that scare you?It is mentioned a lot that Morals are dictated by Religion, and the inference (or the direct statement occasionally) is that therefore Atheists are immoral. What makes people think this? I'm curious. Has anyone...

Why Do Religious People Get So Angry At Atheists? When it comes to Atheism, most religious people get angry and even combative when it comes to this subject. I wonder why, especially in this day and age, one would feel anger towards another human being with a different perception/outlook/belief....
