Why is St. Peter band from entering the heaven.?
St. Peter stand in front of the gates of Heaven.
Choosing if you can enter heaven or go to hell.
And people dies every hours of the every day, and that means that he will never enter heaven.
Why.?
What was his crime.?
He was the one who change the believe in Jesus into the church of Jesus Christ.
Of course then the question is... if he is a criminal, why is he not in hell.?
The Bible does not say that Peter stands at the gates letting people in or not. That is a belief that people in the church concocted and there is not good Biblical evidence for such a thing. I've studied many accounts of near death experiences and all of the people who have been to heaven and come back say that there are angels that stand at the gates of heaven. Sometimes the different saints or angels or even Jesus Himself will meet a person when they die and escort them into the inner holy city where the throne of God is. It is different for each person, but there are sent escorts to assist you to the place you will go.
There are no bible references to peter standing at the gates of Heaven. If we look at Matthew 16:9, Jesus says,
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven"
Jesus was speaking to Peter so maybe man has assumed since Jesus promised him the keys to the kingdom, he would be guarding the gates. It looks like Jesus was promising all of His people the keys to enter the kingdom.
Allegory contains truth no less than fact, if you know how to hear and see it. Keep studying Scripture and look to 'critical analysis' as a means to open the allegorical in Scripture and find truth.
