In Egypt it is predicted that 12/212012 will be the return of Osiris. What does that mean?

Osiris is the King of the dead and of the Resurrection. It's basically the same as the Mayan prediction that the World will end on this day.

I think the Mayan prediction merely stipulated that there would be a change of ages... probably not unlike the changing of the odometer of your car when it rolls over from 99,999 to 100,000

Osiris, the Bull of Egypt will return on that date and to prove that the stars prevail and decide all of our fates. This date coincides with the Mayans. and recorded in China, and in many Native American prophetic beliefs, that a major earth shaking and a climatic event, so great and beyond comprehension, shall take place. The change will occur on this date and with the alignment of the stars.

It would mean that all the imposters will have to leave. The 2nd exodus.

Interesting, I have been waiting for this date for a long time now.  I hope something big does happen so I would not have to go to work the next day.

Osiris is a "dud". Duds don't return. Don't forget to buy your Christmas presents. You will need them.

The actual date, astronomically (and astrologically) is about 2150 AD. Since each age is about 2100 years long, we're on the cusp... sort of.

To answer the question, "What does it mean?"

A lot of people are going to be disappointed.

In my studies of Greek and Egyptian myths, it seems that some of the "gods" were really groups.

It may well be that Osiris (Auser) was the chief ruling group of early Kemet. When the myth talks of Seth (Sett) cutting Auser up and distributing his body parts to the 14 districts, this is merely the house arrest of the 14 members of the Auser body.

Then, the Isis (Asett) group brings those members back together to get their blessings on the formation of a new, stronger group -- Horus (Heru).

One story within the myth which seems to support this interpretation more than any other is the story of the fight between Sett and Heru as hippos (submarines?). Asett wounds Sett and he begs for mercy. Asett gives him mercy which enrages Heru, leading to him cutting off the head of his mother, Asett. He hides her head from her in the mountains until it is rescued with help of the sun god, Ra. Now, it makes far more sense that the "head" is merely the leader of the Asett group. Returning the leader to its group is much more believable than the head to a dismembered person.

All of that seemed to take place about 12,000 years ago, right after Atlantis was supposed to have subsided. And Plato's date for that subsidence coincides with 3 events from science that changed the world -- one of them the smoking gun in the story of Atlantis.

So, Osiris (Auser) coming back? That would mean that the old ruling body (confederacy) would be restored to Egypt. Nothing Earth-shattering about that.

I selected your answer because it provided some history and context. I really appreciated that smile
