You might be a Christian if ..... (What)?
What sets a Christian apart from the rest of the world?
What does a Christian believe that others do not believe or visa versa?
What makes a Christian different from the others?
Can a Christian drink, smoke, take drugs, get drunk, murder, have wild parties?
What would tell others that a person is a Christian?
Is a Christian "Christ-like"? What would Christ be like?
You might be a Christian if you have the Stigmata, seriously. Good question Laurens, look forward to the answers.
Jesus answered this in John 13:35, 'By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." NASB Great question to get us thinking!
What a wonderful question....I am so happy that I get to answer it:
To be a Christian means that I believe that Jesus Christ is my God and Savior, that He died on the cross for me and forgave me of all my sins by His precious Blood.....it also means that I have chosen to set myself apart from others in this world to follow Jesus and live for Him, because He died for me on the cross & gave me eternal life, and He means everything to me.
Being a Christian means emulating Jesus....I choose to be like Him, I want Him to make me like Him more each day!. I choose to love others because He commanded me to do so, and because I love Him, I keep His commands....
People will know we are Christians by our love, because we are peace makers.
Because we don't gossip or drink, curse and do things that would be sinful to our God, others can see that we are God fearing Christians.
What is Jesus like?.....He is our loving God and Savior, the Creator of the universe and of us all.....He is the Living Word, He is Pure Love, He is compassionate, merciful, kind, beautiful and gentle, He is the healer of broken hearts.... He has the power to do anything!.....Jesus is amazing, He alone knows our hearts and minds, because he formed us and He is God....He died once for all the sins of the world.....He will be returning any time....very soon, to rapture (gather His saints together) and take us home to heaven with Him. (Saints are all of us who belong to Jesus Christ our Lord)
Here are some helpful scriptures:
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (NKJ Bible)
1 Corinthians 6:19 & 20
"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Acts 3:19
"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."
There are so many other scriptures I want to share....every Word in the Bible is alive....it is the Living Word (Jesus is the Living Word) of God....and every Word teaches us.....speaks to our hearts, guides and leads us!
***I am sorry this is such a long answer!......May God bless you, Helen
Put simply, a Christian glorifies the name of Jesus Christ in their life; otherwise, His power is negated.
It is in the name.
To be Christian is to be Christ like. You should be recognized by the love that you show the world, and by the grace that you practice. You would need to practice the commandments that Jesus highlighted, Love God, and Love your neighbor. When these two commandments are followed people notice.
As for behaviors it is not black and white. For instance is it okay for a Christian to drink? Sure, there is no where in the Bible that says otherwise. Is it okay for a Christian to drink in excess to the point of drunkenness? Not really that isn't recommended for anybody, it isn't healthy nor is it loving to your own body or to the people around you. Moderation is key.
You might be a Christian if....
You believe in the Triune God.
You believe that Jesus Christ was fully God, and fully man.
You aim to follow the example that Jesus set for us during his time on Earth.
You are Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant.
You are a Christ follower.
You aim to live a life that would make God happy.
You attend Church.
You celebrate Christmas and Easter.
You hope to spend eternity in Heaven.
You stumble sometimes, but admit your errors and aim to return to a path that directs you toward God and Heaven.
These are just a few ways I thought you could finish the sentence.

...when Jesus clearly said 'My Father is Greater than I' in John 14:28?Nothing can be greater than God, so by Jesus' own words, we can deduce that Jesus did not profess to be God, because he professes that there is a power Greater than him (Jesus). Why then do many Christians firmly believe that...

Has these titles, which are often used to describe Christ's relationship with God, been taken out of context? Or do you honestly believe that Jesus Christ is God's son? I wonder, can a person still be a Christian, and yet believe that Christ is not the son of God? What are your...

If Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, is He then one being in heaven?I always thought Jesus was the son of God, in all actuallty. I never knew the meaning of "the son of God" until just now. So now I realize that God came in human form and was called Jesus, Jesus and God are the same. So...

Can only Christians and those who accept Jesus Christ go to heaven?According to Christianity, only those who have openly accepted Jesus Christ and the Christian faith may go to heaven. If that is the case, what about the African tribe who has never heard of of Jesus? Even if they are good people,...

Why do Christians feel the need to tell us about their religious beliefs?I don't have a problem with Christianity or any religion for that matter, but I view religion/spirituality as a personal and privvate matter and feel that it's best kept that way unless one is specifically asked to expand on...
