    Can people FEEL the future?

I say FEEL because I have had experiences where I felt an emotion (happy or sad or angry) that came out of nowhere only to be followed by an event that then supports that feeling. I couldn't SEE the future, but in hind sight, think I felt it. What do you think about this notion of a "gut feeling"?

Sure, why not. This is what the Saints do. Life is one big flow of consciousness and if you are one with it, or even less, if you can tune into it, you sure can.
Someone recently asked a question about people knowing when they are going to die. Similar question. My mom was very precise.

Still, I sat at the feet of a man of God for 31 years and my understanding, and this is a unique teaching, is that the Supreme can and does change the plan from time to time. But yes, in general people can and do feel the future. Life is one big mystical experience, which on an even higher level, is no more mystical but as natural and normal as drinking tea. This is my humble understanding.

"Life is one big mystical experience, which on an even higher level, is no more mystical but as natural and normal as drinking tea." I like this, a lot.

      Thank you.
For the realised Soul, all is natural and orderly. He/She has no quarrel with any aspect of God's plan. For me, things may be a bit incomprehensible, but only because I have not yet arrived at the state of the illumined Soul.

One can imagine a future event, such as winning a contest, and then have the corresponding feelings associated with the imagined event; however, one cannot feel the future. A person who believes that they can feel the future, is the same kind of person who believes that Algebra explains the universe. I would go so far to say, that such a person would not even be clever enough to fix his/her own shoe if it was in need of repair!

The Deja Vu. It has occured more than once with me. Infact, its frequency has increased in past few months. I feel I've seen some scenario and then I get either Sad or Glad; not consistent however. Then I wait for a moment immediately after that and think about the event thing over again, everytime it astonishes me.

Don't know about others, but can't figure out for myself, as well; what exactly it is? and what does it imply?? and how???

Interesting. Different I think than what I've experienced but interesting.

It's a subject that has been studied and pondered over extensively in the past.  There was even a long, drawn-out U.S. government-funded research study over "Remote Viewing" that went on for several years.  You could always start with a Wikipedia article about Remote Viewing, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_viewing

At any rate, a high degree of ESP would be necessary for this to ever happen.  Mistaking a few emotional coincidences for supernatural clairvoyance wouldn't fly in the scientific community.  Then again, you may be like some of those Tibetan Monks, for all I know.  LOL!

I will read up on that. I've not heard the term before. I suppose if it is clairvoyant, it would be unconscious in my experience. I don't claim to see the future, I don't experience it daily or with any control. Thanks!
