Is the human spirit the source or cause of intuitive knowledge?

Why do we somethimes know things, but don't know why or how we know it. Is it the spirit ( human Spirit) within us trying to tell us something. Is this intuitiveness the reason many of us believe in God? Is there anything in the bible that talks about or explain intuitiveness? So, is intuitive knowledge the human spirit's way of talking to us? And is this, in any way, how we receive guidence from the Holy Spirit?

No, the source is the Holy Spirit which is the true self.

God created us in His image and likeness and He is not human.

There are different sources this can come from.

Our spirits lived with God before we were born. We learned a lot when we were with God. Our bodies don't remember it, but our spirits do.

We also have the light of Christ. To my knowledge it's not mentioned in the Bible, but it is in another book of scripture called the doctrine and covenants. This is what makes things live. It's what organizes the planets in our solar system. It's what makes the sun bright. It also gives us morals and understanding.

The Holy spirit can speak through the Light of Christ. The Light of Christ is the medium that the words of the Holy Spirit travel through to get to us.

Snowman- I was wondering if there is any answer to this from the Holy Bible. Thank you for your answer.

    Yes, Bro.

From my standpoint, this is the cutest question that you have asked so far. It shows introspection, and this is sometimes healthy.

The quest for Wisdom necessitates a journey within, and the Spirit, with a capital 'S' is the Source of it all.

"Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Cor 6:19.

"The earth is the Lord's, and its fullness therof ....." Psalms

"What, know ye not that you are the children of God; that God dwells in you, and that you are not your own ...?" 1 Corinthians

Finally, spiritual things are spiritually discerned, and yes, it is the Holy Spirit (Grace) or His Mercy, that guides us. Much peace.

Both those imbued with the Holy Spirit and those without have intuition. So I would say that if it not lead us directly to the Holy Spirit in all then it does not in some. So No. Grace is the only thing the leads us to the Holy Spirit.

Eric- Thanky for your answer.I realize grace is an important aspect with our relationship with God. Without His grace then it becomes hopeless. I'm just wondering if there is a connection between human spirit and intuition? Point taken. Again thanks.

    1Corinthians 2:6-13Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the gifts bestowed upon us by God.   And we speak of these things in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to those who are spiritual.”.    the human spirit has wild and wonderful potential;
    2.    the human spirit sets goals and strives to achieve them; but
    3.    the human spirit fails to live up to potential and invariably taints or spoils the very goals to which all human beings aspire.

The human spirit alone/on its own is incapable of having any intuitiveness or guiding edge. It therefore suffices to say there must be an underlying source of knowledge. Our human spirit acts as a buffer between man and his Source, God. The Holy Spirit of God then feeds the human spirit all it needs to know, if that human has the Spirit of God. If an individual has no God's Spirit, then he/she is not God's and another source will occupy the void that is created for God's Spirit and feed that individual all he knows. The opposite of Holy Spirit is evil spirits, this then will become a source of knowledge to any indivdual who has no Holy Spirit of God within.
The human spirit always needs another Spirit higher than itself to depend on it for guiding principles and knowledge. If one does not have God's Spirit, he/she falls on the opposing camp, the devil's camp where the devil controls hi/her. There is no in between, it's either you are with God's Spirit or not.
    Thanks
    Bongani

Bongani-I truely believe the Holy Spirit guides us in our understanding of God's grace and His Kingdom. But trying to understand the cause of intuition leaves one to ponder. Thank you very much for your answer.
      Blessings.

In the broadest sense, yes, God gives all of out gifts and faculties. In a more focused answer, intuition is simply a gathering of very subtle observations and facts, usually sub or unconsciously, that suddenly comes to consciousness. Really, it's that simple.
