   Why do some Atheist's think creation is impossible? Aren't Atheist's created by their parents like everyone else? Are Atheist's mad at their parents for creating them?

            Oh, I misunderstood!LOL Sorry.
            My thoughts. Theist and athiest alike arrive at their conclusions based on what they believe to be true. As with any belief there are allways external factors. In some cases the Theist himself is the greatest external factor that contributes to the atheist belief system. Athiest of these sort tend to be the angry ones. The angy athiest is frustrated by what he sees as a pious, hypocryte who preaches love and hate all in the same breath. This athiest is very sensitive to these buzz words like "Creation", "SIN", etc. These words will often solicit an angry/negative response from the atheist. The theist response is often one with an attitude of "holier than thow" which only keeps the argument going.....

                     You can prove an electron exists very easily with science.
                     You cannot see or prove a god for a simple reason. God is a lie in a book full of hate and lies.

         That did seem like a silly question let me expand on it.  I was raised in a Catholic home I revolted against this at an early age.  I would not define myself as atheist but I do not follow any organized religion.  In my case it was the fact that I had too many questions that could not be answered by my mothers religion that caused me to stray from her faith.  I wonder if other people have had the same experiences with their parents religion?

   I don't think everyone is afraid to answer. I just think it gets so old to keep bringing up the same question so many times in so many ways. Yes my parents had sex and had me, just like dogs, cats and rats do.
   
   That is not creation as your referring too, that's simple biological workings of an organic thing. Fruit flies are great at it! I love my mom, my dad a different story.

      When I said afraid to answer I meant didn't want to get involved as theses topics always lead to verbal fights/arguments and bans have been issued recently.
      
      I agree it's all about the human race multiplying. I'm with you there on the mom, dad thing- I love my dad but it's getting tricky...to the point where he is now a hub.

         It's all in how your wording it. If you want to say that two living organisms that have sex and produce an offspring is actually creating one, then fine, it was creation.
         
         It's also nothing more than messy sperms penetrating an egg. Worms have both a male and female parts. Many microorganisms split themselves and form new ones, never having sex.
         
         If you want to say that was creation then fine, go right ahead. But we both know your talking about some magical being when you say creation, and that is just not the case.
         
         However if you agree that we can produce offspring and it has nothing to do with a god or higher being and want to call it creation then by all means do so.

               By what you just said then, how can their be a god unless something created him/her? and if someone/thing did create god, who/what created that/it?? LOL.
               
               We all just come to our own basic conclusions of what life is about. Nobody knows the whole key to life and the world as we know it. So we each judge and decide for ourselves and hope it's the right one.
               
               I just base mine on what I see around me, what I studied and I'm happy with what I have arrived at. I'm glad your happy with what you have decided to believe. I'm not going to change you, and your not going to me.

      I have to side a little bit with Earnest here. While I don't believe God is what the 'cavemen' in the Bibles say God is, and as Earnest has stated the 'God' descriptions in the Bibles are very much of an angry, jealous, spiteful entity.
      The goal of getting people to do as they were told is very evident in the wording and descriptions of God in the bibles. The simple fact that the central concept of the Bibles is that of 'what must a person do to get to heaven? Obey .'
      
      Where Earnest and I differ is in that while I know that these descriptions are not true descriptions of the "pink unicorn" that I call God, Earnest has decided that if that is what God is then I(Earnest) don't believe that 'God' exists at all. I(Mikel) instead choose to believe that God exists, and that the descriptions of a hateful psychotic entity are just incorrect.
      
      The Bibles, written by cavemen, are not correct about everything. God isn't a take it or leave it ideal/entity.

                                       The fact that the Roman Counsel took the ancient letters from the time period mentioned does not negate that the first penned version of the Bible was compiled and written 300 years after the fact.
                                       If the bibles were written and published in the first century, what publishing house did the work? Where are the 2000 year old preserved copies of the original text? Not one copy or partial copy exists?
                                       
                                       That the Bibles were written possibly using the letters and corispondence from the people it is written about, would suggest that they (the writers) would have in their possession those very same letters... do we have these letters? Wouldn't the first church of christianity be in the holy lands, if the religion started there?
                                       
                                       On the video there is a lot of talk but very little proof. I would have to venture that the people that are being portrayed as the 'writers' of the bible, were in fact probably illiterate people... how many carpenters sons in that era were highschool graduates?

                                             as I'm reading all the stuff in all the links you keep posting the only thing going through my mind is...If I were to write a book today I could site historical things that happened 1000 years ago, and by saying it was written in some letter before that historical thing happened...it would make 'my' prophecy true...
                                             
                                             What I mean is if I were to write a bible today, and include some reference to the 911 tragedy that I say was written before the 911 tragedy happened, it would seem like I didn't write about history, but about prophecy...and then the historical proof that 911 happened would lend credence to the 'bible' I wrote after the fact...you follow me?
