That's all just a play on your immagination. Stockings - is like wearing something, but at the same time not wearing anything. Plus, a man will have a thought about underwear straight away - and what if there isn't any...

But then I'm not one of those men who controls everything around them, I'm more like the ball in a pinball machine being bounced from one 'not sure' to the next 'maybe' with little idea of what's going on.

I don't wear stockings of any sort and no guy I've ever had was interested in them, either.I'm with you, Maximus591. I can't speak for the other guys, but your question did make me think:
A. Do I find stockings more attractive than tights?
B. Why?
Hm. For sure I detest panty hose (being older than they are). As a young buck, it was a terrible thing, trying to find the top of the fabric and ending up at the belly button (or thereabouts). And, wow, no peel-a-bility whatsoever. Fort Knox, eat your heart out, ain't no safecracker gettin the gold outa that unitard tonight, buddy!
Overall, though, I prefer bobby socks. Now, gimme a heart-faced little cutie in a poodle skirt and a ready smile...

lol I HATE 'stockings.' Has to do with dress codes in corporations...which I've had to deal with. The nude kind of hose are SO ugly...no fashion forward woman wears that. They prefer nude legs and maybe a slight tan.
Men I've known, too, also seem to prefer nude,.

This is the first thread I've started on Hubpages and I'm amazed just how many posts there are. Some are really helpful; particularly the male perspective on stockings and suspenders (garter belts).
I like the win/win view - men love them and women love to wear them. 'Access' is a good summary too.
Girls - I have a confession. There have been times when there was no man in my life when I have taken a long, long indulgent shower, slipped into some hot lingerie and stockings and retired to the sofa with a slushy movie and a bowl of ice cream or a box a chocolates - Who needs men?how did I miss this thread~~ too much...
