I think that Macs and Pcs both have their pros and cons, depending on what your usage is really depends on which one will be better for you...
-Seamlessly runs all of its programs (for the most part)
-Less risk of viruses although that's based on your usage
-sleek design and the picture on those screens is flawless
-Microsoft Office on Mac's is a pain, not always compatible with Microsoft Office for PC, especially powerpoint. Also Excel is a pain to use as well (considering if you use your computer for work purposes as well this could be important, especially since almost 90% of businesses are still Microsoft based)
-One problem I ran into is sharing data, once an external hard drive is set up for a PC it can't be set up for a Mac.
-near impossible to customize
-Compatible with just about anything
-Still the dominant player in the computer industry
-Can easily customize and upgrade to suit your needs
-Can play more computer games
-Risk of viruses although I haven't had an anti-virus software on my home computer for years and haven't got a virus yet
-Not as sleek, doesn't always run as quick
Personally I think PC's are more practical and for someone who isn't going to use a Mac for its real purpose (photo and video editing or graphic intense purposes) but at the same time, I personally would rather have a Mac, but cost wise and what my usage is, it just doesn't make sense.
