1. Kure beach: Kure beach is located 25 minutes south of downtown wilmington is one of the best beaches in North Carolina. Pleasure island is home to carolina beach, kure beach, and fischer beach. The clear blue water is perfect for swimming. Other activities including fishing tournaments, surfing, shelling and sunbathing. Kure beach, north carolina has parks with tennis courts, basketball courts, playground for the kids, bike trail and grills. You can plan a picnic with your family and friends and enjoy your visit.

2. Holden beach: Holden beach, another one of best beaches in North Carolina is an island that is neatly tucked away in the southern most part of brunswick county. Holden beach is one of five islands that make up the north carolina brunswick islands and is located only 35 minutes south of Wilmington, and 30 minutes north of myrtle beach, south carolina. 3. Sunset beach: Sunset Beach is a small barrier island located at the southeast corner of North Carolina making it one of the top beaches in North Carolina. The beach is only 3 miles long. The island boasts a white sandy beach and undisturbed sand dunes, a natural habitat and nesting ground for the abundant coastal wildlife, including the endangered loggerhead sea turtle. The beach is also near to the bird island. The beach has picnic tables, grills and restrooms.

      I've only been to Kure beach once but I did like it as you can still find parking and not so many people. Most all the rest have parking problems.
