Best Water Parks in Ohio

Cool off this summer in some of the best water parks in Ohio that include castaway bay water park, soak city affilliated to Cedar Point amusement park, coney island, coco key water resort, great wolf lodge, fort rapids, kalahari resort and zoombezi bay water park. Water parks are a great way to have fun with family and kids.

1. Castaway bay at cedar point:

Castaway bay resort is a 38,000 square foot indoor waterpark. It is packed with fun adventure for all ages. The indoor water park offers a diverse collection of water devices including 10 exhilarating water slides, kid's play pool complete with tipping buckets, spraying gadgets, rendezvous run, a 520-foot-long indoor water roller coaster, sea creature play structures. Other water activities include arcade, a 6,000-square-foot arcade that houses the latest in video games, lookout lagoon family fun house, castaway kid's activity center and castaway bay wave pool, birthday party room spas and restaurants.

2. Coney island: Coney island is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Coney island sunlite pool features the world's largest circulating pool. The pool has 3 million gallons of water and offers 6 diving boards and slides. They also offer exciting water slides, pipeline plunge tube slide, zoom flume, twister water slide, lanes for lap swimming, 20 kiddie rides and family rides. Coney island is great for all ages.

Coco key water resort is 52,000 square foot indoor water park and is located 35 miles east of Columbus, Ohio. Great wolf lodge is 42,000 sqaure foot indoor water park and is located in Sandusky, Ohio. Great wolf lodge features body slides, whirlpool spas, kid's activity center, tube slides, and interactive play structure with tipping bucket. Highlights of great wolf water park include 6 gaint water slides, lazy river, toddler pool, tipping buckets, big foot pass and interactive tree house waterfront.

5. Fort rapids water park:

Fort rapids resort is 60,000 square feet indoor water park and is located in Columbus, Ohio. The indoor water park features 12 water rides, bowl ride, cowboy creek lazy river, activity pool, rattlesnake falls, hot tub and 4 story play structure topped with a 1000 gallon water bucket. Fort rapids resort features 278 guest rooms and 60 family suites  with an old west theme.

6. Kalahari resort:

7. Zoombezi bay water park: Zoombezi bay water park is located in Powell, Ohio. Highlights of zoombezi water park include Katoomba lagoon, wild tides, sea splash, dolphin dash and roaring rapids, family raft ride, lazy river, tube slides and body slides.

Soak City near Cedar Point (Sandusky, Ohio)

It is a must visit for water ride lovers. You can get a two day pass at the discounted rate at AAA to spend enough time at the Cedar Point amusement park and also in Soak city, the water park affilliated to the main park.

      When it gets cold in Ohio, indoor water parks are cool because kids can still swim.

      with 89.00 and a family of 5 and being 12 I cant come here. does anybody know where i can go to cool off for less than 89.00 and a family of 5?

      Well I would like to come here but it is way to pricey for me as a 12 year old with $89.00 to take my family somewhere just to cool off.

      I haven't been to Ohio, but will definitely check one of those water park resorts out! I would go for Kalahari!

      Great hub - thanks! I live in Ohio, but have not been to Castaway Bay. I'll have to put it on my list for the next time I'm up that way. I'm down in the Tri State Indiana/Ohio/Kentucky area, so we've got Coney Island and The Beach. Love those wave pools!

      By far The Kalahari Resort is the BEST! Everything you need is on site & was a wonderful family experience! The kid's can't wait to go back.

      Before our trip to Ohio last year, we came across this helpful visitors guide from the Warren County Visitors Bureau . The guide has local attractions, including top waterparks!
