Thank you very much for posting this, Peggy. I enjoyed writing it, although when I set out I did not intend it to be quite so long.

An excellent travel article by Liz. I had trouble loading the photos though on my iPad. (Haven’t tried on the computer) In many cases I could view the fist of the thumbnails after waiting a couple of minutes, but the rest wouldn’t open. this seems to be an increasing problem I am having on mobile devices recently. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Thanks for sharing, Peg.

Thanks for persevering, John. I have had similar problems with photos on some articles. I have to admit though that this article is photo-saturated.

This is a great travel article, Liz. The photos of the various places in Malta and the bits of history behind them make this a fascinating read. I have always wanted to visit Malta to know more about the mysterious Ġgantija ruins, as they are an aberration in the recorded history of humanity. These majestic ruins prove a lot of our current archaeology theories wrong. Thanks for sharing this excellent article.

Thanks, Peggy, for sharing Liz's article.

Thank you for reading, Ravi. I hope that you can visit Malta one day. It certainly has a great number of interesting historical sites.
I have read that the Ggantija ruins are older than the pyramids of Egypt. We would like to spend longer on Gozo next time we visit the area. A short trip there only gave us a glimpse of what Malta's neighboring island has to offer.

Liz has created an amazingly detailed description of her Malta tour. It should be very useful for anyone intending to visit the country or for anyone who wants to learn about Malta as it exists today. Thank you for sharing the article, Peggy.

Thank you for reading, Linda. I always wonder, when I set out to write, whether to split articles into many smaller ones. But my overriding thought is for future travelers. I think for anyone using these articles as a travel guide it is useful to have the information in one place, all be it in a very long article, rather than having to search for different ones. I am therefore very encouraged by your comment.

Thank you for your encouraging comments, Chitrangada. I enjoyed writing this article and revisiting Malta as I did so. I probably need to focus on shortening my articles to make them more Google friendly. But when I travel I appreciate being able to find all the information in one place. It is difficult to know how to split the information and yet make it easily accessible for travelers.

A wonderful read! Malta has been on my wish list for some time. It's just about an hour flight away from my parents. Hopefully, next time I visit l'll be able to hop on a plane and finally see this wonderful island.

Thank you for your comment, Alexadry. I am guessing that your parents are maybe in Italy or Sicily. Both of these are on my list of places I would like to visit. I hope you make it to Malta.

I read this with great interest, as Malta is on our shortlist for our next international trip, later this year.  Good tips on cities, sites, and the photos were lovely.
