Do you use reddit to promote your hubs and has it helped?

I just learned about reddit the other day (sorry don't remember whose Hub I found it from, wish I could attribute my learning to you).  I'm wondering if anyone else uses reddit to share their hubs, and if they feel it has helped drive more traffic/increase earnings.

I have used Reddit for a while now when I write a hub and publish it on Reddit. It only gives me a few views for each hub, but I still share my hubs with Reddit and hopefully the views will pick up one day.

I have and do use Reddit.  As far as how it helps, it depends on the subject matter as well as the category that you post to. I have had some great views from there, and then some just don't get viewed at all.

I have had great views with Reddit but they fall off quickly. You have to be pretty active there and post to the right sub Reddit for it to work to your advantage. Also the views tend to decrease quickly so lately I've been avoiding the site.

That makes sense, advantages and disadvantages it seems.

You may have learned about it from Alocsin, who has a few posts on Reddit. Like him, I found myself with problems posting there, so I created a subreddit called "write it up" that lets hub pages articles be posted without threat of getting banned. However, it only produces about 1-3 looks per hub for me on my relationships based articles, where it was getting 20 or so when I posted in relationship themed topics.

Yes I use them, and yes it gives me a lot of views when used correctly. But..... they are by far the most all knowing, immature, basement dwellers on the net. Most of the people on there are 17 - 20 years old and if your not writing something that follows what they know they will down vote you on Reddit. The trick is to not care what they say or do on Reddit cause it doesn't effect your hub. On a sidenote there are some really cool people on there to it just depends on the people subscribing to the category you post in. Hope this helps.

I do use it, but not that often. I also would go back and resubmit my articles from time to time. That helps, just make sure you don't do it the next day.

There's this one time I posted there and receive 100+ views in one of my articles. It lasted for about a week.

I guess it really depends on how you phrase the title, and choose the correct category.

As of now, I'm encountering a problem posting links there. I think Reddit has this tracking system, and knows if you there only to promote hubs. smile

If you don't confirm an Email with Reddit they no longer let you post. If they are letting you post but your links can't be seen by anyone but you then you have been shadowbanned which means they think you are spamming
