   Can I assume that I am being asked whether I *treat* Hubpages as another source of income? If so, the answer is not really.
   
   While Hubpages is a way to make a passive stream of income, and possibly what draws many people to writing here, but for me it's more about the long term benefits of writing. I enjoy writing, I treat it as a form of catharsis, and the income I may eventually draw from this website is an added bonus.
   
   I am a firm believer that you can't write for the sake of earning an income alone. You have to enjoy what you do, or what you write about, otherwise you suffer personally and the quality of your writing suffers.
   
   So, if I was to write a summary, I don't really treat Hubpages as another source of income. I enjoy writing, and that's why I write. The income I get from it is a nice incentive at best.

   I did treat is as a small stream of income but over the last couple of weeks my earnings have dropped significantly for no apparent reason. From earning $2 it has dropped to $0.84.  I am doing much better with Bubblews and considering leaving HubPages because of this.

   I enjoy writing and earning is also part of and doing well on Hubpages, Bubblews  hasn't paid me as yet so I  prefer HP.

   No, I only received first payout last month after a long 9 months of hard work. I came into HubPages knowing that it wouldn't be much. I joined because I've always wanted to be a writer and to supplement my private practice. I expected to get enough to put gas in my car. That's it. If I end up getting more, it will be icing on the cake, but I don't expect a continuous stream of income that I can depend on indefinitely.

   Yes, but only in a limited way. It is more as an avocation that also brings in some side money, not a primary source of revenue.
   
   When I say avocation, I really mean amateur activity in the deep sense - I do it because I love (amato) to write. Being able to express myself on any topic I wish is very important to me. So I would do it anyway. Doing it here at HubPages is ideal because it gives me audience interaction and some money.
   
   In an ideal world, we would all earn a good living living our soul's purpose and being the gift we are to the world.
   
   In this world, sometimes, we have to work for a living. We need a vocation, as well as an avocation. So I earn elsewhere, as well.
   
   But I'll take back what I said: That would not be an ideal world. It would be an easy world. This is the ideal world, because the challenges make us stronger.

   Yes I do. I make payout each month and consider it part of my regular income, but I also see the value in it for other reasons.   I use my hubs for writing samples to get paying clients. I also participate in the community here and I get feedback which helps me improve and thrive as a writer.

   Well I treat the income I have received as my play money. Eventually I would like to be making more then I am however I happy with a little play money for now so to answer your question yes it's a stream of income however I do not plan any bills around it.
