    LO,

Writing 100 hubs in 30 days is a major commitment of time.

I'm curious about where this time is coming from, and what you're NOT doing in your life while writing loads of hubs.

    cheers, Eric G.

      What are you not doing.
      Eating
      Sleeping Shopping
      Drinking
Pretty much nothing but Hub writing.

I was wondering that too, Eric!  I thought I might go for the 30 Hubs in 30 days, but then I wondered, why?  Even that is a major commitment for me, because I'm back in a full-time job.

It's not as if the Challenge will result in some magical increase in revenue - I'm sure my new Hubs will perform about the same as my other Hubs (or perhaps less well because I'm choosing subjects I might not otherwise).  I think I may just go back to adding Hubs as the inspiration striks me!

I was thinking about this too...

I want to do it but I can't due to the fact I just don't have that much time or that much ability to be inspired. I have a list of about 20 hubs I want to write but...I had the thing for a few months lol.

My newest 2 and 2 of the old ones have been doing horrible compared to others...I need to not spend 2 hours writing something that tops off 50 views in 4 months...ugh.

Making sure my hubs I have now are currently seen and updated is my main focus, not creating 100 more. Thats 5 times more then I have!

I learned I need to try to pick out my topics a little more carefully.

I'm not watching TV and I'm eating less. Both good things wink

Let's see no TV, except for Letterman, less time wandering the internet aimlessly. I haven't really given up anything important. Just being more focused.

Which is showing me something about taking my internet biz to the next level.

I've been working myself towards 100+ articles a month anyway, and not necessarily just for HubPages. Though when dividing up the pie HP is getting more than the others.

Good topic Eric! I spent last month launched news sites so May was always going to be link building month anyway - I am just a bit more focussed on HP than I might have been. That said I found a new niche 2 days ago and now have 6 hubs on that - one of them is already getting search traffic so that will probably me a new site - next month!

I do do this full time but over the last month I have been doing less freelance writing and much more of my own stuff.

@Marisa - I have every intention of this producing me more money - and its nothing to do with "magic" :-) - in fact at the end of the month I will have an approximately the same number of hubs on my new account as my old account - I wonder how long it will take for the new account to make more money than the old lissie?

@thranax - the more hubs you have the more chances there are you will hit the jackpot - it is a numbers game - unless, like Misha (and hes the only one I know of ) you know EXACTLY what you are doing!

Ah yes, but you mention this is "link building" month - so are you expecting the Hubs themselves to make money, or are they only a means to an end? smile

Yes, that's the other thing about the challenge.  Which is a more effective use of limited time - (a) writing a lot of Hubs, or (b) writing a few Hubs and then promoting them?  Personally I don't really have time to do either, but my experience so far suggests (b) is the answer.

This challenge couldn't have come at a better time for me. I'm out of work right now due to back pain and you have no idea how much free time I have.

I haven't stop doing anything except sleeping. lol  It's spring and once the days become longer, so do mine.
I haven't written in many years but the Challenge provided  me an incentive to start again.  Why not?

This sounds like a great challenge because all my shows are running their season finales this week.

I just hope my two year old decides to get on board.

Only 2 weeks to go until the madness ends :-)
I'm happy to say that I've got quite a bit of my book done during this time :-)

Hubpages is like a part time job to me.  So if the boss suggests 100 hubpage artices in 30 days you go for it to get your merits.

Also, I like the idea of being part of a group effort and for Hubpage writers to get noticed on Twitter.  My Twittering following base has increased significantly.

What am I not doing? Wasting my time as you can see by the number of hubpages I have written.  Someone has already written the 100 hubs but the hubs did not seem to be lengthy so I am proud of my choice to write 4 hubpages a day.

The weekends have been getting in the way so now I must write 6 hubpages a day to be able to have a weekend.  Today, I counted and noticed that I have written 50 hubs so I am on schedule with the production and 100 day challenge on hubpages.

I haven't gone to the bathroom in about a week and a half. This might cause some serious problems in the future...
