There are "hubbers" on HubPages who sign on but don't contribute in way of hubs.  It seems that their main purpose is to troll contributing hubbers by commenting negatively on hubs they disagree with.  Some of such "hubbers" are here for 2, even 4 years yet have NO hubs.  Their main purpose is trolling contributing hubbers either by leaving negative comments or by instigating ferment in the forums.  Do these people have inner problems or what other issues THEY have?

Some, perhaps most, have other accounts here with hubs in them.  They just don't wish the two to merge.

Agreed. I have three accounts. This is my main account, and the one that's been here the longest. I may be splitting it up soon across multiple satellite accounts in order to better group my hubs by niche.

Of course, I also don't contribute much in the forums, answers, or comments, either, so I doubt I'd be considered a troll even if I didn't have nearly 100 hubs on this account.

I am sure there are a variety of reasons and motives, and I have no doubt some are here strictly to serve as sock puppets or to troll. But I've heard of a few members that decided they didn't like their original account names and so opened a new one. And considering how large HP's is, there is always the statistical likelihood that a few of these people simply died before they could contribute anything.

I thought you couldn't post in the forums unless you posted a hub?

    Huh. Guess not, eh?

NOPE, there are hubbers who signed on YEARS ago yet have ZERO hubs yet THEY "participate" in the forums. Quite unusual, isn't it?

A hubber should have AT LEAST 50 featured hubs before participating in the forums.

Not that I like trolls in any way, shape, or form, but I have ONE hub! ONE! I had more, but I deleted them all. The one I left published has too much traffic to change the URL now. That certainly doesn't mean I have *less* to contribute! In fact, I would put my ONE hub up against 50 by some others!

        *annoyed*

I'm guessing politics is involved. Political parties seem to succeed in what they set out to do. Turn people into raving fanatics.

We have been through this before. Those with no hubs who hop around on forums intending to trap the unsuspecting and uninitiated with their sticky tongues are "Forum Frogs".
