Ok, Family Guy makes fun of every race and religion ever known.  But last night made me LOL ("laugh out loud", for those of you who didn't know what that meant).

It was an episode where Brian said he didn't believe in God and Meg was freaking out and told everyone.  So Brian acts like he's a Christian to make everyone happy but then starts to plant the seed to Meg that there is no God because just look at her crappy life.

So it gets to the point where Meg and Brian go to a bon fire where Christians are setting books on fire that go against the Christian religion and they show the covers.

One of the covers of one of the books is "Logic For First Graders."

hahahahaha   I was laughing so hard!  I mean, it's true, right? smile

There are different aspects of religion to consider.

In Islam there is a spiritual sect known as the Sufi. Sufism is widespread, but has been traditionally under attack by the established "Islamic" orders based in the major population centers...Sufism emerged in the regions where Islam was not based so much on Quranic law as opposed to spiritual concepts.

With this said, a concept of Sufism is that there is no one way to approach God. Whatever it may be, however a person or group has come to relating to their perceived maker they are reflecting the idea that God is in each of these...God becomes an entity with countless faces and approaches.

The Ottomans, in the time period of Osman, Orhan, and even Bayezid, this "Muslim" group was made up of both Muslims and Christians...Turkic, Greek, Armenian, and others who were bound together by a common goal toward gaining power as opposed to establishing religious control.

With this said, there are forces like this within Christianity.  The problem is that we live in a world that is dominated by a certain few sects...many bent on bringing on the apocalypse...unfortunately..

To target Christians across the board loses this....but I love acts of iconoclasm.....and while I didn't see that episode I'm going to be hopping on hulu.com to check it out...

      Hmmm...
You could be a stand in for Brian, but you'd need a quick shear first...
(Promise, I'm done now. I do love the sheep, riding on the sheep.)

I'm a big fan also, but enough already with all the spin-off shows.
Loved the Star Wars episode. Have you ever seen Robot Chicken?

Meg's only appearance in that episode was as the monster in the garbage compactor.

Every worst fear and insecurity a teenage girl has - is EXACTLY how the family treats her. It makes me cringe sometimes lol

But I must say, the Robot Chicken Star Wars episode was funny x10 - FG's was kind of a let down in comparison LOL

The humor is more subtle in RB. FG can be a bit 'in your face' sometimes.
