I'm sure there are days where I say that one
term is enough, Obama said. What keeps
me going is a belief that the work that we
started in 2009 is not yet complete.
The president also talked about how his
family felt about his upcoming re-election bid
after nearly four years of being under a m
icroscope in the White House, saying that if
the first lady didn't think that what we're
doing is worthwhile in moving the country
forward, I think she'd be the first one to say
do something else less stressful.
If Obama decided for any reason not to
pursue a second term, his family would not
be disappointed, he said.

It just ain't as much fun when you've got a record to run on.
no quit in him, just realization that waht he said in his Chicago acceptance speech:
"To those of you who did not vote for me, I will be your President also!"
is coming true, and maybe he needs to have a mind set of Total USA sucess, not just a Progressive, some what radical force fit plan?
He is not giving in, just because his family told him they believe in him, weither he is in for 1 or 2 terms.
Compared to the GOP crap out there, and the shooting of themselves in the foot, by bringing up a Recovery plan as republican only idea and way to early in timming. He, President Obama may still be a viable answer for the U.S. Especialy now that he has some reflective perspective.
I am begining to wounder about this GOP stuff now?
But again it depends on who he (Obama) has to pay back for getting in the office?
Can he break that agreement if there is one, and do what is right for all of us?
He is not leaving, he is a fighter and still is a schrewed Congressional Lawyer.
but I agree with Trump here, I do not usualy, but on this one, The timing of the Republican plan and the fact that 67% of the US want Legislators to leave social security, and medicare alone, and fix it, not destroy it. is now combining as a set up to put some of the GOP races in trouble.
Reguardless of spin, the plan tears appart Medicare, and from 45 to 75 those folks know it! And are a very big vote block if that issue organises them.
They needed to let the President come up with a plan and let him pass or fail, now they are in the Lime light, and have to make it work or fail. They changed the emphasis back on themselves.
That said, I do commend them for thinking something has to be done, but they threw themselves early in to the Lions den so to speak and did not need to. All of this needs real reliable thought, not just for personal political gain and games. Thats why I say both parties are dangerious for us right now, BOTH!
should be interesting now.
Don't hold your breath. You might be dead.
Exactly, cee. He cannot hide his incompetence, or be covered by the Media, when he actually has a record people can see. And he knows it.
His public popularity seems high enough to run again if he chooses to. It is hard, right now, to see who on the other side would marshal similar support.
TM, has Obama accomplished anything since he took office or not. I hear conflicting claims from each side. What do you think?
He has accomplished alot. Just not anyhting I see as helpful to America, or our economy, etc.
The premise of the question is flawed, friend.
One can accomplish alot. That doesn't mean those accomplishments are a good thing, or what the people wanted, or that I support those accomplishments.
I hope that answers your ?.
And yes. I give him mad props for taking out Osama Bin Laden. Did you hear Pakistan arrested the informants who ratted Osama out? Some allies. We need to bring those people, the ones who helped get him, to America for their own safety. Yhey will be killed in the Islamic world, sure as the day is long.
Islamic law dictates the only time a Muslim can make peace, with (a hudna), and help a non-believer, is when that Muslim or Ummah is is need of some respite to re-strengthen themselves and re-group. Other than that, it is a death sentece to betray a Muslim to an infidel. We need to help those people who helped us.
Matter of fact the prphet momo himself killed a traitor who had betrayed his own people to help momo and his people. He used the guy, got the info, and then killed him. because you cannot trust someone who will betray their own. That is plain Islamic Law, as established by the Itjahadi, and upheld by the Ulema.
Only towel that's going to be thrown is over the heads of those who think America is theirs to mine for fun and profit.
That means you, Baggers.
"Can't buy me looove, looove-- Can't buy me looove. NO."
Or haven't you noticed? More and more people are catching on.
Capitalism on the way up;
Socialism on the way down;
Take from the people for private profit.......Oh the shame.
The next Bagger convention will show you all bowing your heads and begging forgiveness.
Eh--we'll think about it.
He has experienced gridlock like nothing else. He has grayed quickly in the whitehouse just like Bush. Too many loopholes and agendas by these divided parties.
agree jc, nothing about voters wishes, and fair jobs and wages. all Jerry-mandering for thier own political power gains, and no real answers to send out to the USA to judge, or vote on for that matter.
I would be very frustrated in that also, and angry. Presiden Obama is experiencing blocking of the worst kind, not bolcking for the beterment of the people in the USA, but for political power grabs and under-handed monies, not earned.
A for sale Legislature, and a Perplexed Executive = no progress at all.
And that is exactly why we voted in those new House Repubs... NO COMPROMISE... the Progressives have already compromised away the Conservative values of our nation, so... NO MORE COMPROMISE!
That's right, run the ship of state onto the rocks.
You mean like ignoring the majority of American and passing sweeping legistlation to destroy and over-haul our financial system, Health-care sys., and so many other BS laws passed in Dec 2010 when they were already thrown out. lame duck congress of Dems passed laws we didn't want and most are unconstitutional, and you talk about running the ship into the rocks? No we grabbed the wheel and are holding her steady while we move away from the shoreline.
We will not allow the Leftists and Progressives to run our Govt and system into the ground and re-buld it in their own image. Will simply will not. And what about the Dems running from Wisconsin... that was great and patriotic... but staying and voting nay is somehow running the ship aground. What a laugh
Majority my ass! The thinking people of the country are going to put an end to your crew, who have been spewing fairy tale economic schemes for 30 years that have been PROVEN not to work, stripping away the basic rights of our citizens one by one, AGAINST the will of their constituents, while wrapping your bigotry in the flag. BUT, we know your position...you are fine with people's rights being stripped away for ideological reasons. Your thought represents a sad and shameful time in American history.
TM, in case you had not heard? all people in the USA have basic rights.
its not for one side. Ralph is right, dam the rocks, just keep the heading, the Gov can build you a new boat, what the hey!
No.
And I don't want the Govt. to build anyone a boat. We built one and it is the best in the world... and now it is being dis-mantled and many of us are not going to allow it.
YEAH!!!! They are going to get on message boards and try to convince people that people like Joseph McCarthy were great guys, 70 years later! Because THAT is how we fix America. YEEEHAAAAAWWW!
Don't buy the lie. And I don't have to convince anyone of anythig...history speaks for itself. He may not have been a sober, Atheist... who used PC in every speech... but he was exactly right onwhat he said.
And those are facts which can be seen by anyone who looks at the Senate records, along with the OSS (fbi), CIA, DOJ, HOUSE, GRU, KGB, and so many other records.
Clear as the blue sky. The Leftist lie has been exposed. Commie lovin traitors they were.
You can grrr all you want, but the entire country understands what a horrible figure McCarthy was, and what disgusting views he espoused. It is considered a shameful time in our history, and always will be...no matter how many posts you put up. It is set in stone...let that burn in.
Secondly, society progresses and learns to be more understanding and accepting...it just does. That is what time does. So, all of the things you hold dear, all of those political views you want to resurrect are slowly going away, less and less accepted by society. SO, no matter what the Tea Party says on TV today, or what Palin's new reality show plays to, it is all going away. In 20 years, the entire concept of what you believe will be history...and considered bad, and again...a shameful time in our history.
Conservatives have never been the good side of any argument historically...so worship the Deathstar all you want right now. Get on here and try to change 70 years of opinion and point your finger at Obama for everything you can think of...your ideology is reaching out right now in a dying breath, making its last scream before its soul flies away. No matter what you do...you are on the way out, and I am young enough to watch it all go away. Grrrr back to ya. Time is on my side.
You can spuot al the lies you want, tex... the record is clear for any that want to look. Just look at the new hub I posted, the truth, the whole truth, etc.
Clear as a bell... the media did what they always do. Spin and shit on anything not Leftist and anyone who discloses their treason. See; Cultural Marxism.
And I will be posting more as regards McCarthy and the treason he uncovered. Ah the truth is a beautiful thing.
Post all you want...then walk outside and ask someone what they think of when they hear the name McCarthy. Awww....can you not get your point across to the entire country and change their minds? Is he going to live FOREVER in shame? Yes, yes he is. Insert violin sounds here
I don't have to convince anyone.... more and more Americans every day go to read those records. Appearently you are a sheltered child. Alot of people realize what has been done these days. Your lil liberal fairy tale is about to crumble.
Yeah, keep telling yourself that. I am sure it makes you sleep better. I am young and you are old. Who do you think is going to win? How have your ideals been working out for you as society has accepted more and more? I get to sit back and watch it happen for 20 years? Do you?
I am not so old tex... lollllllllll Matter of fact you look just about my age. And I wil be here 20 years or more myself. lollllll what a laugh... mad cause the truth is coming out and you leftists cannot stop it. to bad.
It is all in the records.... your liberal college education will not survive the truth.
And I know and meet people everyday who have seen the light about Mccarthy. And I have shown many where to see the truth, and they look ad then they are mad at those who allowed it... and many say. "I have been so stupid" "So blind" and the ever popular... "how could this have been allowed and hidden from us?"... "why did I believe the Left, or the media"
The truth has a way of destroying the lie.
You are 34? You keep on keeping on with your McCarthy crusade and we'll see how it turns out. Society isn't moving in your direction; it is moving in mine. 70% support gay marriage. A black guy just got elected President. A simple wikipedia lookup will show you exactly how the world views this guy. Good luck bringing back the Cold War and the 50s, particularly, in 15 years when whites are the minority. What we are watching now is the last dying and loud voice of an ideology that is on its way out, trying to make one last stand in the dirt. The funny thing is...time moves things in my direction, not yours.
The first president since Clinton who is liked enough all over the world, the first president who doesn't dribble in public when talking about crusades - and you want to get rid of this guy ! It is hard to imagine that it is possible to have such a moronic segment of population.
i saw that interview yesterday . although i didn't vote for him . i accept him as my pres. and admire his efforts. from the start i knew the job at hand was way to big for any one man to fix. i often wonder why any man would put their head on the chopping block like that. i don't see him as a quitter.

I'm from the Uk so obviously I'm not directly affected by American politics. As an outsider looking in, I have to say that Obama impresses me. It seems that he is always being scrutinized and critisized but he never stoops to the level of throwing insults, or loosing his cool. He's a great public speaker and in my opinion, for what it's worth, he talks a lot of sense. As I'm from England and healthcare is free at the point of use, it made a lot of sense to me that he would want to improve the system of healthcare and medical insurance. In terms of the economy, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it under a republican government that the American economy took a nosedive?
Yes, but you have to understand where American politics are to understand what we are actually dealing with. The Republicans/conservatives live in their own worlds, their own minds...ignore any empirical evidence. They'll get to the point of being children in their apologies for anything conservative and try to pin everything from the economy to the heat on Democrats. There isn't a debate anymore, just kids in grown bodies trying to rewrite history. In their minds, education is bad, progress is bad, technology is bad...they want to go back to the 50s. Good thing however, the world moves along with them regardless of what they think, and it moves in the other direction.
Oh and TMMason, by the way, didn't Obama win the election with a massive majority of the vote of the American people. Surely they were aware of the legislation and policy that Obama was going to implement.
No they were not Hollie. He was a Marxist who was hidden by the Media. How could they know, he had no record to show his policies. He only had a majority because the media did not vet him and did not ask the ?s they should have. The media has been playing games in this country sine the early 20s. They have been in the pocket of the Left for decades.
That is a flat out lie and ignorant. Show me a single line of proof that shows he is a Marxist.
This response is simply a little kid in the body of an old angry and bitter man who can't accept reality. Go play in the sandbox with the other children.
I would not describe Obama as a Marxist, I have yet to meet a true Marxist who believes in the free market. In terms of the press hiding him, didn't the Murdoch press give him a really hard time when he was running for election and they are, lets face it, extremely powerful. He perhaps had no record as a president, however, I do remember listening to a speech of his prior to his election victory- where he proposes his plans to change healthcare.
common political stance is to pretend you are not eager for the burdens of the job...
he will throw in the towel... place it firmly around the neck of his republican opponent.. and win even bigger that the first time
He does not like the free market, he is stuck with it. big difference. And he is doing all he can to nationalize it.

With so much vocal an organizational opposition to President Obama and his policies (such as they are) after only 9 months in office, is such criticism warranted? Does the opposition reflect minority intolerance, or a fear of growing minority influence?

47 conservative Republican Senators signed a letter to Iran intended to undercut Presidential foreign policy. This breaks over 200 years of precedent, and probably violates the separation of Powers part of the Constitution. Should Americans, after puking over their blatantly unAmerican...

Here once again Biden stands at a podium swings around his hands, and rants, seeking and appoint blame on American citizens, ultimately Republican citizens. Without cause, without proof of the motive of why or what possessed this nut job that attacked Paul Pelosi. Although in front of only a...

I saw this Dr. John Whitley on Anderson Cooper tonight. I will have to find that clip. Anderson chewed him up good and spat him out.But the real question is -- do they honestly have nothing better to offer the citizens of North Carolina than Trump redux? Really?North Carolina is apparently ground...

I am taken back to the site 'unskewed polls' where the conservatives were saying that the mainstream polling system was unfairly skewed in favor of Mr. Obama. So, I bet I could not find them now anywhere among all the bits and bites of the internet. Maybe you guys can add to this most interesting,...

"This is the closest that we have come to repealing Obamacare."I am over joyed at the moment! I confuse that I thought Speaker of the House Ryan was another Republican Rhino like John Boehner. The Repeal is going to the presidents desk. Obama will veto the bill most...
