   Do you ever look at your partner and poetry comes to mind?
   
   i sometimes look at my wife and I get an urge to write a poem. i'm no poet but to her, just the knowledge that I wrote anything is all that matters. does this ever happen to you?

   Not about my wife, as I am not married just yet, but the one whom I love? Absolutely. I get an urge to write a poem almost every day with her, and I write them down. Sometimes I throw them away, but the ones I like, I do them up real nice, and give them as gifts to her. All of the poem hubs I have published on hubpages are all of mine, inspired by the one whom I love most.

   as she be
   waiting for me 
   doing as she pleases
   and a host of ineligible things come to mind
   words discarded not for lack of truth
   but for the venue, inappropo 
   or worse still she isn't in the mood

   yes, the Faith Hill song comes to mind..."I watch the sunlight dance across your face.............." and I feel overwhelming love. It's beautiful, isn't it?
   I love the fact that you're a man and you think that way...so very cool. My question to you is, does your wife know what you're thinking??? My husband says things so long after the fact...and I wish I would've known at the moment, what he was thinking. Passion is an amazing thing....thank you for making me think about this.

   Lol, my wife is pretty good at reading me but she still likes me to say it out loud. It is sometimes pleasant to watch her blush as I do.

    When you start your relationship, yes, poetry sometimes comes to mind. But after a short period of time it suddenly disappears:))

    the reason i asked was because buying things for my wife means nothing to her. she isn't a material person. but if i write a poem or just give her an unexpected kiss , she lights up like the sun. we've been together for 5 years and i still get a rush when i look at her. i was just wondering how many other people feel like i do about their partners.
