If you want to change your religion, what would be it?
I'm looking for a Church that involves beer and cheerleaders. So far, no luck finding one.
I have no desire to change my belief system. I left squabbling religions years ago and did my own research and studying. While I don't purport to know all the answers, I know that I don't need a howling preacher shouting damnation at me nor a pope making my decisions for me. Needless to say I don't need a bunch of old men in beards and little caps telling me what I can and cannot do or believe. AND I certainly am not going to cover my head and face every time I walk out the door to my home. I prefer the quietness of meditation and looking to soul for guidance. God speaks to our souls, not through our religious representatives. All we have to do is be quiet and listen, but too many people are telling God what to do for them to believe this.
I do know that I was here for the Earth Ascension in December 2012, so I have done my part in ushering in the New Age of Aquarius. One of the things I believe is that someday mankind will give up all this childish stuff and look to his/her spiritual self for the answers to God. At least I hope so.
There is no religion that I would be a part of, the belief in a God is ridiculous because it requires proof of God, faith is the assertion that something is true for NO reason other than you are either too ignorant and lazy to ask what the nature of things truly are, or your ignorance of whether or not their is a God causes a fear that if God is true he will punish you for going against him or the false hope of a pleasant after life.
Any other God has the same empty promises and empty threats. I have acquired too much knowledge to believe in anything spiritual or supernatural. Hell, I don't even believe in Alien visitations... not that it CAN'T happen, just that it hasn't happened nor with the current laws that govern our universe that are known are possible.... Not to say that somehow we or some alien discovers a way to break them and finally visit us or vice versa....
That's such a tangent, sorry.
Either way a religious belief of any kind is completely undesirable because it requires you to follow a dogmatic unchanging belief in an infallible truth which doesn't exist.
I'm always changing my religion.
Fact: I do not yet know all of God's Truth. I suspect that no one does.
Therefore, I remain humble and hungry to learn new things to bring me closer to that Truth.
As Jesus said, salvation is a narrow path. He didn't say it was a place, like a denomination or a literal interpretation of religious scripture.

Why Would You Want To Change Others Religious Beliefs? There has been lots of questions about changing the views of Athiests, Gnostics and even other Christians,. Why would you have the need or desire to change anyone's views of God? Is there some kind of pay-off with that?

Besides the belief in a higher power, what other differences separate non-believers and believers? What is the agenda of either side?

Where does someone like me, with psychic ability, fit into Christianity? Do you think I am evil?I believe in God & Jesus & God's Holy Spirit. But I was born psychic. I see dead people and I talk to dead people. It is a God-given ability. I help people. Yet I cannot label myself as...

I think the question is an interesting one.But to answer it we need a real definition of its meaning.Latin word “Re-Ligare”. “Ligare” means “to bind” or to “connect”. Adding the “re” before “ligare” causes the word to mean “Re-Bind” or “Re-Connect.”Also the another defintion says...
