   Have you ever eaten a crayon?
   
   To be honest, I have bitten a crayon....but never actually ate one.

   For whatever reason, some kids seem to love eating crayons. Binney & Smith, the makers of Crayola products, have taken precautions to help keep crayons safe for little munchers. The company makes crayons from two main ingredients: pigment and paraffin wax. Neither ingredient is considered toxic. The problem is that Crayola crayons come with labels on them, which are made from paper and held on with glue. Paper is usually relatively harmless if ingested. Binney & Smith has to use a nontoxic cornstarch and water mixture for its glue, just to make sure that children don't get poisoned. As long as they aren't eating tons of Crayola crayons, your kids will be safe if they have a small, unsupervised wax snack.

   No, but my dog did... his poop had purple chunks in it the next day. It was quite funny.

   No, never. I think they're also quite toxic. I consciously look around for crayons or water colors and pencils that are non-toxic, although I rarely find the ones I wanted. There are limited suppliers coming into stores, and they don't usually tell us if it's toxic or non-toxic. Some brands I know like Crayola are non-toxic, but they're not always around.

   Not that I can remember.  Besides it too waxy.  I don't think I thought about it when I was kid.  My brothers and I can draw, we use to compete with each other drawing a figure a little kid like scenery the quickest and the most colorful and nicest... Creativeness in over drive before we started buying coloring books.
