   If you could swap places with someone for a week, who would you choose and why?
   
   We are often dissatisfied with our life wishing and dreaming of doing things that are out of our reach. If you could change this for a week, who would you be and why?

   Really, what is the point, of trading places, living another's life, trials and insecurities, if we have the option of trading up to a more privelaged station?
   
   
   
   I, for one, WANT to know, what it felt like for my Grandmother, to be told, that " the family is leaving out at sunrise".......and either, she be ready to go, or be ready to be left behind.................I want to know, what it felt like, to my Grandmother, to be left behind, giving birth to my Grandfather's son, as he marched onward........leaving it to  her, and the newborn, to catch up to the protection of the camp, or to face the elements.
   
   
   Instant this, dial a heat, push button washers, dryers, french fryers, toasters, muffin makers, pancake grills.......................the women of today ( self included), know so very little about hardship........despite, all of our collective complaining.
   
   
   I want to know, to feel........to carry the burdens forward, that my Grandmother's fought for, or against....I want to know...........what it felt like  to be the woman in HER day.....I am familiar with my own day......
   
   
   I want to know...........have I done her justice, or have I shown myself to be unworthy of her sacrifice..........I want to know.........have we, as modern women, grasped and echoed her visions?

   Albert Pujols, with that huge contract he just signed, I would donate some of his money to my bank account so when I come back, I have a lovely windfall waiting

   My sister.  Her life has challenges, and I think if I swapped with her for a week, I would be better able to understand her every day experiences.  It would give me that much more empathy for her situation.  Plus, I would get to spend quality time with my two beautiful nieces!!

   I would love to swap places with The Queen at least for a little while to experience the nobility, gracious surroundings  and freedom albeit busy schedule. On the other hand, I would however not like the huge responsibility.
   
   Can you imagine the thrill of the power?
   
   But then considering the fact the grass is always greener.

   My Mom. She is 81 years old and lives alone in Europe. She insists that she is fine and happy, but I always worry about her. If I switched with her for one week, experiencing what she does, how she feels, I would know if she is really OK, and stop worrying... or maybe not! Another person I would switch with is my 83 year old Carmelite friend of 36 years. She was 49 when we became friends and I was 30 years old. She entered Carmel at the age of 19. She is a remarkably holy woman. I would love to know how it feels to be a holy woman like her. I would like to experience her wisdom and the love that she has for Jesus. SIGH!
