My 30 days 30 hubs Challenge Traffic and the Money

Updated on February 3, 2011

Money and Traffic After 30 days Hub Challenge is here

One of  the greatest Achievement I have been dreaming of has been met. Two of my hubs have been featured on the Front Page of the Hubpages websites, Thanks to Hubpages and Hubbers.

These hubs are

How I earned $40 Adsense with 50 Hubs

The Top 4 Ways to Drive traffic to your Hubs and Earn More

The 30 days 30 hubs challenge has ended and I have noticed some progress in both earning and traffic that I would like to point out for those that are willing to put the hub challenge to test. Although am less with one hub but the increasing in both Traffic and Money is noticeable

Maybe you are new to the Hub Challenge and you are wondering what this hub challenge is and the money people are talking about. The Hub challenge is just writing 30 Hubs in 30 days, the simplest definition of hub challenge.

I started the 30 day hub Challenge with 91 hubs and after the challenge I have managed 120 hubs which mean I have managed to achieve my target of writing 29 hubs.

Hubs Featured in Hubpages Front Page

My first ever featured hubs in the front page of Hubpages Website

Traffic increase to 500 and over a day

Traffic Progress

Before the Challenge my hub traffic hardly reached 200 Pages Views a day, but towards the end of the challenge.

I saw my Hub Pages Views rise to 250 and finally when the Challenge came to an end after 30 days my hub traffic have shoot to 500 Pages Views a day as shown below. I would said that I had 100% traffic increase and what makes this I hope is the quality and quantity of my Hubs.

One thing I noticed was that the more I write the more earlier hubs start getting traffic , so my observation is that the more quality hubs you write the more traffic you get. As Shown above is my traffic progress

Adsense Earning Statistic

Google Adsense Earning

Before the Challenge although my earning had improves due to some work I did in June and July where I managed to do about 40 hubs. During the previous months I was earning between $1 - $4, my major surprised came on Saturday 22nd/08/09 for the first time I earned $11 dollars in a day, and my August earning is at $25 approaching $30 dollars by the end of the month

Amazon Earning Updates

Ever since I got my affiliate at Amazon, I have never made any sell, so here am not doing well, the reasons may be am not keen on optimizing my hubs to make Amazon sell, eBay also has got the same fate as Amazon so I do not need to discuss that

Kontera is just picking up and I have just made some $0.05 dollars from, there are some good signs that my Kontera affiliate is on the right direction and I may realized increasing in earning in few months to come

Now that you have seen my statistics here are some of Advantages and Disadvantages of the Hub Challenge

Benefits of the Hub Challenge

  • Traffic improvement
  • Google Earning Improvement
  • Is a learning tool to help you improve on your writing speed
  • Helps you read widely searching for topics to write about
  • You become a better communicator
  • Help you improve on your keyword research technique
  • Help you meet your goals and target
  • Your result keep on tickling slowly but steadily – both traffic and income

Challenges that may affect the completion of the 30 hubs

·         Needs your own internet connection

·         Need your own personal computer

·         Need more time to do more keyword research

·         Time consuming

·         Some time boring when you run out of words and ideas

·         You may spend sleepless night doing keyword research

·         Return on both profit and traffic is not immediate

·         You can easily give up if you do not have goals as to why you are writing

Now that am over with the second challenge, am considering giving myself another challenge after two weeks break. For now I would like to build bank links on the hubs I have written during these challenges

Hi Oderog! Honestly speaking this is one of those rare hubs that I read carefully and got motivated.

Because it's full of very useful practical knowledge and experiences! -- Thanks for this Awesome hub and the great efforts you put in those 30 days!

Kontera is very good but only if they can remove that clause in their agreement that says that the small publisher earning less that $5 per month will have to forfeit it. What is the problem, at this age of super computers, with keeping money to add up to $100 even if it takes 10 years?

To many publishers, big and small, when they see smoke they smell fire ahead.

      Hi Oderog,

This is Jonathan from Kontera. Regarding using Kontera and Google Adsense together, because our ads are displayed in a completely different area of a webpage than Adsense, Kontera is never competing for ad clicks with Adsense.

In fact, due to "banner blindness", the problem where people become so over-exposed to banner ads that they form a selective blindness and just don't notice them anymore, there's an entire segment of site visitors who's clicks you would be losing completely if you don't have In-Text ads.

It's genuinely an entirely different revenue stream, but that doesn't mean that there aren't still ways to optimize your revenue. For instance if you adjust your settings so Kontera ads will open in a separate window, you won't be diverting traffic away from your hub, leading to more conversion opportunities. You can learn how to do that here:

hub traffic and the money. If you want to see some

improvements in both traffic and Google Adsense and other

Great achievement Oderog. I was in the challenge too, and every single thing you said about increase in clicks/traffic/income, is absolutely true. I started the challenge with only 25 hubs. I did 35 hubs for the challenge and never knew i could achieve it. I now have 63 hubs(not enough yet), but the challenge helped me learn to write more frequently now.

Now i write better(i think so LOL), earnings are better than ever before, and.......oh i can go on and on and on!

Congrats on your appearing on the featured hubs on page 1.

And forget Kontera (IMO). The day i removed them from my sites, the 2nd day, i started earning. And im saying this truthfully.Silver Rose is so right.

@RNMSN - Thanks great that you were almost to 30 hubs, I missed it by 1 hub Silver rose has given a great tips on how to maximized adsense earning by removing kontera ads

@tjthudium1996 - Yes the more quality researched keywords hubs you the better poor quality keywords hubs will not earn you money. But the more hubs you have the higher chances of you earning great money

@oderdog your right, just a couple minutes a day to 15 minutes a day, you can create a new GOOD hub every 1-3 days which can give you lots more hubs so you automatically make from 0.00 to 0.05 a day maybe for each hub but, if you have 500 hubs that will be 25 dollars a day if you only make 5 cents on a hub, you could make more and you could make less.

      Well done!

Just one tip - don't bother with Kontera. If your earnings are less than $5 a month, you forfeit it. Also having the Kontera on the hub distracts people from clicking on Adsense. Most people report that their Adsense earnings rise after they remove Kontera.
