JanMaklak, thank you for the link and also this very helpful information. I have inserted it on all my pages now. Google immediately rewarded me with a lot of red arrows. There are a few more added features too! Thanks Jan
Or the entire HP site!
What a good idea! Never thought of that. Thanks, Wayne.
A new feature was added yesterday - so that when I went to my hub, it warned me that I had it in a text capsule and it gave me a place where I could insert it, right beneath the adverts and not beneath the actual text, in tiny letters.
I've seen others do this as well, and many of them wait until the end to state this for the whole hub.
I changed one and then abandoned it because it looked silly. I think this question will be removed from here because it promotes discussion!
No, I did not realize was not the place to ask the question. The feature added yesterday is a good one but I think it should have been placed below the copy. Thank you for your comment.
That was exactly my reaction when I was met with a notice saying that my copyright had been placed incorrectly below the content instead of in the suggested position below the adverts - it appears to have automatic detection working. Thanks, Sally
Thank you for your input Phyllis Doyle.
There is a new feature which has been added. You will see it below the capsules - it will be added automatically if you click it and ends up below the adverts and not below the written copy.
I agree, especially in view of where the new copyright feature has been placed on our pages.
This information is not being displayed in the footer, it is quite a way up the page under the ads.
I see, thank you Cardisa. I still think that it would be nice to have the copyright notice at the bottom of the content and not below the ads. Thank you for your comment.
With the information under the ads, it is not prominent. I think it should be at the top under my name or at the end of my article, not under the ads.
Yes, it started yesterday along with some other great features added too. Thank you for the comment The Examiner.
I just found it when I created a new Hub. Now I am going to check and see if I can add it to my present ones.
Yes you can, I just did all of mine.
I know. I did all of mine last night.
Click on Display Options and you will be given a choice Marsha Musselman - it lies below the insert capsules menu's
Bill Yovino, thank you for your comment, I hope it won't fall on deaf ears.
That was my fault entirely, I tried to correct a spelling mistake and failed. Apologies Gail - the only one who should be censored is me. I now have you sitting in my comment box with an awaiting moderation sign, never had that happen before!!!
Well, it sounds like maybe it was an accidental report. What I previously said was I would like it more prominently displayed. Scrapers do not copy that far down the page. Also, that there would a pen name option since a lot of writers ghostwrite.
In edit mode, below the recipe capsule, it says display options, click on the word, not the question mark and you will see a drop down menu and you can add it here.
@Sallybea, thanks for the specific instructions in the following blurb, I now added it to one of my hubs. I think the font is fine, it fits with the one about when it was updated last.
Ericdierker, you are quite correct, I was simply having an opinion about the new feature which was added yesterday. In fact, I would like it in a more prominent place so that people know that I wrote it. Thanks for your comment.
I don't think it really matters if you are writing for pay, or for fun, or for sharing knowledge, it is still your writing and no one should copy and paste it without permission from the author.
I think I skipped over something important. The big "C" that shows copyright has traditionally been tiny so as not to interfere with the work. Like an artists' little signature on a painting. It is like lawyer speak and should not take precedence.
The size of C is not the issue, it is the position on the page under question. Using the new feature one would be unable to change it in any way because the size has been set and cannot be altered in edit mode.
Wait until someone steals your work and posts it as their own. Many here have had that happen. I think you'll be singing a different tune.
