My traffic has tripled. It is so exciting. Is everyone else doing well?
What do you reckon Kirsty?
No... No.. N-No...pe.... Nope!
I believe that most of the poets (left) on this site have had their works sent to the back blocks...
but then... all our links have been torn down and our key words and subjects raped by the day shift!
Glad you're pinging though.. hope life is too... you take care mate
Long time no see Pearldiver....lol It has been awhile.
I did mean to say that all the traffic on my Lance Armstrong hubs for some reason just completely stopped about a week ago.... they just don't seem to perform like they did...
but what really concerns me about them is that each time I check the hub contents....
Someone seems to have tampered with my words... it's like someone has stripped out all the text that relates to his performance and his wins!!!
Unbelievable!
I sent Lance a text PD told him to hand back those hubs to ya mate lol.
I see some of my traffic rising so I am hoping for my first pay out soon.
Some people do well with traffic. What are your secrets? Product hubs. Evergreen hubs. What do readers want?
So it isn't just me. I thought unpublishing some of my hubs was the trick. hmm. I'll try republishing them.
Last year was amazing for me on HubPages! It's when I started to see higher success. However at the moment, my traffic is at it's lowest since July 2011 right now
I am not putting all the blame on Google Algorithms because my traffic is also simply declining because some of my hub's keywords are being searched less. For example, one had 5000 views a day, but obviously that was temporary then it settled down to 1000, but it is less than that now.
Not sure how I (or other hubbers and HubPages as a whole) is going to fair in November in December.
It's quite strange because I have seen hubs that never got views then see others that get several hundred or 1000+ within a couple days and then maintain a lower number for a while.
I currently feel as though succeeding as a writer on HubPages is going to be like trying to land a coin on it's edge. But I have seen it's potential in the past -- just hopefully the potential comes back.
Well mine start rising near the holidays. It could be because they are certain holiday related. It was a constant upward last year too starting around this time and then fell down after january....
David,
I think you need to look at your Google Analytics for some hubs for a period of time. See what's trending well and measure until traffic drops. This will give you insight into which hubs are hot or not.
I suggest this to see what's happening with your hubs as they are mostly games hubs. Gamers are as fickle a bunch for information seeking as any, it doesn't take them long to check out the next hotly anticipated game.
So games you write about which are hot now, not many people care about in six months.
My traffic had gone down to 20% of my earlier levels and for the past 2 days I am seeing them rising slowly. Now the traffic is almost 70% recovered and I hope it recovers completely.
My traffic is not tripling. My traffic is 40 of pre-Google modification. I must have written about the
wrong holiday!
I think I got hit with the latest update
Normally around Halloween my face painting hubs do great, with my zombie face paint getting up to 500 views per day! (Which normally gets like 10 if I'm lucky during different seasons)
Today I have 74 views on that hub, and I've made 34 cents. A couple of days ago before i got hit i made $1.98 in a day, my best earning to date! (don't laugh, i was ecstatic!)
I was really excited to try out the new ad program when my views were at their peak, but google had other ideas for me I guess. I just hope I recover a bit and get back up to my avg $1 per day standing..

I love to see what people were looking for when they found my hubs, it helps me choosing new titles and see which questions I left unanswered.I was hoping to see keywords under Traffic Sources, but I have to click on each hub and then stats, and then keywords.... quite a long process to check them...

In the back of my mind I'm always looking for ways we can improve the HubPages product to help people be more efficient at increasing their traffic. Lots of things in the product start with manual expirments that turn into features of some sort.Right now I'm experimenting with updating old...

Okay, guys! What am I doing wrong here? I have written 39 hubs, and only made $4.94 on AdSense. That must be the hardest earned $4.94 of my life - no joke! I made more than that in one evening of babysitting 25 years ago.HELP!! Please!! I have heard it takes...

No update on the stats in 32 hours. Yesterday my Hubber Profile score dropped a point and when I signed in this morning it had dropped another point. My hub score has rapidly dropped 2 points. Is there a connection between the stats not updating and my Hubber score? Seems like a pretty rapid...

As per the new changes HubPages has made, I was required to make a few changes to the amount of Amazon products I was showing. I lowered the amount of products to lower than an average of 1 per 50 words on the hubs that HubPages has penalized. Furthermore, on hubs that weren't penalized I got rid...
