Hello all. I'm new to HubPages, and I was disappointed that my first hub got unpublished. It was a review of a website. I can understand how it might have been viewed as promotional because it was about just one site. But I pointed out to the HubPages staff that there are other hubs about single books and movies, so why not single sites? Furthermore, it wasn't a commercial site, it was more of an online tool for internet surfers that had practical value. I also had no connection to the site. Fortunately, a real person on the HubPages staff reviewed my hub and allowed it to be republished. I wanted to publically say thanks. I also wanted to point out that unlike some other publishing websites, this was the first time a real person bothered to respond to my concern and respond quickly (the next day), I might add. I look forward to working more with HubPages.
Nice to meet you dwsurfshop...
Good to see that you weren't completely deserted, as first impressions anywhere are important...
It takes a huge human determination and commitment, to remain positive when one's first effort is torn down unceremoniously!
Repackage your work and use it to show the world that any reader's first impression of it... should be equally as positive as your attitude!
edit after having read it....
Good on you mate!
Welcome to HubPages! May you have many more positive experiences
Good for you. Glad it worked out. I wasn't able to publish one of my hubs because it was deemed as being written in a language other than English. The hub was an educational hub about how to say certain phrases in different languages. I contacted Hub Pages and told them this and they allowed it to be published. So, if you ever have an issue just contact them and most likely someone will respond.
Welcome to HubPages! I'm glad you got clarification on the publishing guidelines. It sounds like you only needed a few, if any, changes; I hope your hub sails through smoothly next time around! This is a great site, with very responsive management and a genuine interest in making changes and enhancements to stay competitive. The writers here are supportive and very knowledgeable - I hope you enjoy being part of our group!
I have also had positive interchanges with the staff at HubPages through the years. Welcome to HubPages!
Hello dwsurfshop, welcome to the most friendly community of online writers.
HubPages is the best, i have seen many online writing sites and participated in there too. I have come across some problems with the published articles and have contacted their staff for resolving the problem, frankly NEVER i got any reply. But, HP is simply awesome, staff will always help you.
Welcome to hubpages and congratulation on publishing your first hub. look forward to your next valuable hub.

Lately, I have had 11 hubs unfeatured due to Quality Issues. I have assured my hubs do not contain grammatical or spelling errors. I have included relevant video and changed the titles and added new supporting texts and all this to no avail. The HubPages Staff continues to deem my hubs do not...

Yesterday I invited a friend to try the hubpages. She declined stating that most of the staff are narcissistic head hunters who have a degree in English, play head games with the users they don't like, are unfair in carrying out their hub rules and often help the evil doers on the site if it means...
