To all of my followers and HP friends I want to thank you for your support over the last couple of years and last year when I was down and out.

My health is waning and the prognosis is not good, however, the news of my mortality is only making me want to enjoy life more so now than ever before.  So with the pittance that is in my HP account, I will donate it to HP so maybe they can change things around or give someone a raise that is well deserved.

I have decided to remove my hubs from here and place them in a new home.  I guess you can say this is an experiment of sorts and if I do this right I'll be able to have some 'fun money' before I can't enjoy it anymore. lol  I should be done here within a week.  I just wanted to say 'via condios' (until we meet again) and always remember Carpe Diem (Sieze the Day).

I don't have family other than my dogs.  The best part is that God has granted me the knowledge of how I am going to pass so it's up to me to educate people and still put smiles on others faces.  With emphysema, fibrosis (scarring of the lungs) and tumors in each lung I have a lot to do.  I am not scared as it is part of life and you have to embrace life!  Sieze the Day!  Make sure you enjoy every single moment of your day and make one person smile each day whether it be a stranger or a family member.  Rejoyce in what you have instead of what you don't have.  Life goes quickly as it passes us by and we really don't realize how quickly it does go.

Over the years I was exposed to not only being a smoker, but to caustic soda and cianide when I worked in a gold mine.  No respiratory safety gear but it was a great job.  No job is worth your health.  So if you know of someone who works in a factory this year for their birthday or christmas buy them a respirator and save a life.

Sarra:  I do not know you and have not gotten to know you here at HP, but my heart goes out to you.  When your time comes, remember that you had value and that others saw that in you, as is evidenced by the comments here.  Enjoy what you can while you can and then go with God.

Yes, you all are my 'family' and I thank you all for that!  There are things that I need to do, sorta like a bucket list. You should never leave the earth regretting not trying your hopes and ambitions at least once.  Kinda like jumping out of an airplane.  lol  I used to do that in the Army and I'll tell you it's a rush!!! Just remember, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

    You all are the best!

I am SO sorry to hear of your health problems.  I'm getting to the age that each new day is more meaningful for me than the one before.  So far, I have been blessed with good health and I thank God every day for that.
We are sorry you have to leave HP.  I wish you all the best.

I am very sorry to hear about your failing health. You have a great outlook, though, and you are clearly facing it with courage and dignity.

I also think it's serendipity that you have your dogs. They are faithful and loving companions, the kind who never let you down. (Like family sometimes does, unfortunately.) I wish you luck in your future endeavors and peace with your beloved dogs.

I am on Facebook if anyone wants to still follow me.  Thank you for your support and prayers.  It makes me so happy that I have been an inspiration to you all here.  Then I did my job!  When you don't think you can handle what life puts in front of you, just think of me and put one foot in front of the other and keep moving.  God has a way of putting 'speed bumps' in front of us to see how we handle life's difficulties.  Have the patience of Job, don't question 'why' as everything happens for a reason.

Remember to pay it forward, help your neighbors and make at least one person smile each day.  Hug your children and spouse and tell them you love them and mean it.  If you see someone doing something bad to another person or animal do something about it.

Never be afraid of speaking out for your convictions.  Never be afraid to help someone who is in need of help. Never be afraid of getting involved.  If you are afraid of these things the world will never change to become a better place.  Do what is right and don't turn your back because someday you just may be the person in need.

It probably sounds like I'm preaching, but this is just common sense and common courtesy to your fellow man.  We have to all ban together and help the helpless, old people, animals and children who don't have a voice of their own.  It is up to us to help the helpless and point them in the right direction.  Taking one hour out of a day to help someone is nothing when you compare it to a lifetime.

It is too easy to 'talk the talk' but we all need to 'walk the walk'.  Make a difference in the people around you, take them a meal, take them to the food bank, donate clothes to the women's and mens shelters. Mow your neighbors lawn or drop off a bag of groceries.

Embrace your life and the lives of those who are around you as when you do you will be changing the way people act towards others.

Lots of love and Peace for everyone!!!

    Sarra

Sarra, HubPages doesn't allow you to post a link, but maybe you could let us know where you're going to be moving your articles to, just put a space or something so it's not a hyperlink?
