    Just joined up and working on getting started.

    I work 30-40 hours per week as a waiter during the evening, then I come home to my girlfriend and our beautiful baby boy.  I spend the nights tending him so that momma can get some sleep. 

    The nights are quiet and I've been looking for something productive to do to pass the hours.  Writing has always been a passion of mine, so I had been pondering making a blog of some sort.  HubPages caught my eye, and here I am. 

    I certainly wouldn't complain about a bit of extra money, but that would just be a pleasant side effect of doing something that I enjoy doing. 

    I look forward to spending time with everyone,

      All I can say is so far...I LOVE IT!!  The other writers and staff are really helpful and friendly.  I am very happy here...I hope you have the same experience.

      Now if only I had more free time and could get a good night's sleep...or a day off.  lol

      We recently had a couple servers quit, so we're all pulling extra shifts, and I'm trying to transition into a second part time job and cut back on some hours. 

      Life's a bit goofy right now, but I promise that I'll have a Hub or two up soon(tm).  smile

    You came to the right place.  Hubpages is a great site for writers, full of friendly helpful hubbers. 

    First thing you should do before writing, is go to the learning center.  You mentioned you are thinking of making a blog of some sort.  Please read what a hub is all about.  I'm just saying this because I was a blogger before I joined Hubpages.  Culture shock for me lol
