How much does Adsense pay per impression? Does a page visit to your hub count as an imoression, or does the reader actually need to click the ads? Thanx
Impressions are just views and you earn about $5.00 per thousand views (CPM).
Clicks are when some actually clicks on an advert which you earn more for, usually about $0.25 but I have seen one person on here who got $45 for one click!
Look at it like this, If you have 100 hubs and they get just 10 views a day each thats 1000 impressions per day which works out at about $150 a month.
I'm pretty sure you're wrong. The figure of $2 to $6 per thousand views is often quoted on HubPages, but it's expressed as a range, not an exact figure, because it takes into account impressions AND clicks - and most of it is from clicks.
The amount you earn from impressions is negligible, that's why most people do so much better by switching on HP Ads.
I think I'm right
Look at my earnings from one day.
CPM @ $7.12 / 1000 = 0.0072 x 25 views = 0.178 (rounded up) $0.18
Sorry the picture is a bit small but for this month (average)
This Month (Jun)
256 Impressions
$5.68 CPM
$1.46 Dollars
Approx. 25% of $5.86 is $1.46, am I wrong?
I mean 25% of $5.68
Sorry I didn't get much sleep last night!
A question. I get 1000+ impressions daily but still this much money isnt generated by mere impressions. why ?
It also depends on the country from where the impressions are?
Yes I think it does depend on the country where the pages are viewed from, I assume that where people have more money advertisers are going to pay more.
1000 views per day is impressive, but you earn nothing?
I am earning about 2-3$ hardly a day . Yesterday the impressions were 2200+ and the amount made was 0.49$ only ..
Hub Pages (HP) ads are the ones put on your pages but hubpages which you earn money from.
The pay per impression varies for different parts of the world. Event its different in different parts of the same country.
For example if a person clicks from US we can get about $0.25 per click and even more but from third world countries its usually $0.05 per click.
And views also help you in earning the revenue. Last day I got about 400 views on my blog with no click but i earned $0.17 ..
Hope it helps
Thank You. It looks like I'll need a few thousand more hubs to get rich!
You won't need a "few" more hubs....you'll need thousands of hubs to get "rich."
Not thousands .. But if you have some hubs with good quality then you'll get the audience. Try to promote your hubs on social media..
Most of my views are from social media..
You need some good quality hub which generates traffic to your hub . You can easily get your hub famous through social media.
"Easily"
::runs away laughing hysterically::
Hey ossmedia, it becomes difficult to make your hubs famous and more so if you are inclining towards making money through them, The mechanisms are bit complicated, but I need to ask one thing, do click on adverts count more than page views and impressions?
Regarding making your Hub famous using social media .... my experience is that you get the visitors to your hub after promoting it on your social media, but that is just for the moment. The days and weeks after the traffic is already gone .... and keeping to post your link regularly to the same group of people wont either, or am i missing something here?
That's been my impression too, Ronwan. But I think the use of hashtags might keep people finding your hubs through search (of hashtags); I'm experimenting with this at the moment, something I hadn't seriously considered until recently. Twitter, possibly Tumblr, are social media where the hashtags can be used; Facebook is going to start using them too.
There is a calculation however it is very minimal compared to clicks. If you have thousands of hits it might be worthwhile however most people are aiming for clicks.
How much you earn per ad impression depends on the CPM (cost per thousand impressions) that the advertiser chose for that certain ad. CPMs always vary so you can never know how much you will earn...

with how many visits you reach that ammount
It appears that AdSense pays something for ad impressions, but I haven't been able to figure out how it works, it appears to be very limited and nothing like the HubPages ad program that pays 60% of all ad impressions. The AdSense impression payments show up as one penny each, but are very limited. The real money is made when a visitor clicks an AdSense ad, but that rarely happens.

I know I asked something similar before but I am a bit confused about Adsense earnings. I don't know how on earth anyone ever gets a payout at least from the way I'm going. My Adsense earnings have always been between 0 - 2cents a day with maybe a few days (and I mean a few over about...

Sadly, I was unable to afford to get to the Hub Camp, which I truly wished to attend. I tried posting this in another forum, but apparently, it was in the wrong place, as I got no responses. With that in mind, I checked out my "earnings" on Google Ad Sense, and did not like what I...

Hello everyone!I'm having a little problem with my earnings here. I did everything right, following all the steps in the instructions about how to integrate my adsense account with the HubPages.Sometimes, in my earning's report, I see the hubpages appearing as it had a click, but it don't show it,...

I have been a bit puzzled about the way Google Adsense pays. There is reference to page impressions and clicks. I know that clicks get paid for at various rates, but I am not sure about impressions. Does the number of page impressions bring in any revenue. For example, some of my articles get...

I have noticed that upon removing Kontera from my hubs that my AdSense earnings went up. Kontera seemed pretty useless even when I was earning with it because the click were not really all that profitable. One AdSense click seems to be worth more than a Kontera click even when it's like one of the...
