I was wondering why there were only 20 page views on two of awordlover's newest hubs and I just found out why.  The same day they were published, they were copied to the following website.  I just got done filing with Blogger since they own the site this guy --Aaron Wong -- is putting copied content on. I also filed DMCA the regular way I have been doing it just to cover all the bases.    awordlover only has 46 hubs and more than half have been stolen.

Aaron Wong also posted on travelcloud and ifun and both are not powered by blogger. On one post he had the gall to write: Please don't forget to follow if you like as you will not miss my future health tips.
Man, he copied everything  -- the photos, text,  amazon, ebay, polls and copyrights. Is that a dumb crook story? yes.

Where I put a space, just close it up to get the URL.
For the hubbers articles, I'm sorry but I don't know how to make links in forums, so I put spaces in the offender's links just in case I hit submit and everything becomes a link.    I hope you guys will pass this along to the hubbers whose names are here.

These are the 2 of awordlover's hubs he stole

I'm sorry but it is nearly 1:30AM here, and I'm bushed.  I'm going to just list the rest as titles. If you recognize one, go to the site i-health. me   then click BLOG ARCHIVE to find it easier. He has 5 on a carousel and only 3 are active, the rest have a message of removal. This guy has been busy for March as I can't see any other month in the archives. Good luck.

        I got the same info

Is Blogger going to honor the requests I put in?
I did put them in with Google Chilling Effects too, but this guy has to be stopped before he can post more. I want to make sure I completed the right forms.

Can anyone help direct me please? Thank you.

The main thing to consider is whether his copied pages are outranking yours in the search results. If they are it's a problem you need to deal with as a matter of urgency, if not then it's not worth worrying about as he will be gaining no benefit from those pages and you won't be penalised either.

That's why I filed to remove them, his were first in the search engine listing and mine were 2nd. lol
Now my two posts are gone from his site but there are still over 300plus hubpages articles on that site and no admin activity (answering comments, new posts), so it will be slow going to get posts removed.

The most annoying part is that this guy is on HP and knows better than to copy content.

No reply - sent 6 wks ago. I don't think he wants anyone to know he is here at all, so he doesn't answer.

He is here because he is copying hubs. His account might not show any activity, but he is here.
I can't send an email on his Google page and the only other way was here on HP.

Anyone else send an email besides me?

        Hi Wordlover,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have only been with hubpages for just over 3 weeks and I noticed at least two of my hubs are on your list. I will send him an email to ask him to remove them. Thanks :-)

Good morning.  I finally went to bed @ 3am, there were 185 hubs stolen and now there are 195 on the list. Thank you Writer Fox, I did name him in my post. I didn't know he was a hubber, but even at that, he should know better than to steal.

He must know what he is doing is wrong.  I sent an email at 3am before I went to bed and there has been no reply.

I can't believe the guy actually let me publish a comment, perhaps you should all do it now so that others can see that he is a thief. You can check out the article he stole from my hub here http://www.i-health.me/2014/03/antiagin … mment-form complete with my comment asking him to remove it because he stole it - hopefully someone will see it and realise what he is up to.

I received this answer from Google in regard to ihealth website.  URL's disabled with words "dot" and "slash"
        Hello Rachael

Thanks for reaching out to us.

In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have completed processing your infringement notice. We are in the process of disabling access to the content in question at the following URL(s):

www dot i-health dot me slash 2014 slash 03slash are -patients-being-overdiagnosed dot html
www dot i-health dot me slash 2014 slash 03 slash mystery-diagnosis-rsd-reflex dot html

The content will be removed shortly.

        Regards,
        The Google Team

So, both of awordlover's hubs have been removed, however there are still hundreds of other hub articles listed on the site.

If yours is one of them and you haven't filed with Google, I urge you to do it so traffic doesn't get redirected to Aaron Wong's website.

I see he is still a member of Hubpages and his account here has not been disabled.
        http://aaronwong.hubpages.com/

Now if only kakun dot ru would get a response, that would be two websites where I challenged the content and won to have Google removed the content. lol

I've also commented here http://www.i-health.me/2014/03/diy-colo … 7315645946 if everyone sends the same comments perhaps he'll get the message and even if he doesn't other people visiting his website will be able to see that he's a copyright thief and that won't look good for him. I know he will probably delete my comments as soon as he sees them but at least he will get the message.

On the positive side I guess we should be flattered that he thinks our articles are good enough to steal :-) Have a great weekend, everyone.

Guess what?  I'm not flattered. lol  This is a guy who has been on HP for 3 years, he knows it is wrong. He paid $9.88 to register ownership of the site. It is no big dieal if he loses it. He can start another. But we have to keep an eye out more vigilantly. If I hadn't noticed only 20 views for each of these new hubs, I wouldn't have checked to see what was wrong. But this is more work we have to do - and I for one am not happy about it. I want to be able to maintain this account until I get all awordlover's work uploaded, but I hate having to keep like a watchdog to see if the work is stolen. No one tells you your work is copied unless they come along it like I did and others in other forums. There should be some thing in place to show that our work has been copied. This guy got away with this all of March so far, undetected.

I've started my own account and can't get my first 5 hubs done because I have to stop everyday and file against these idiots.

Yesterday I filed with automattic. .com  for wordpress. com sites who scraped content include Anne DiGeorge's name and  copyscape logo for 145 posts - all sexually explicit with videos.  I don't know how these sites allow this stuff - free speech only goes so far in my book - and then not even read the posts to see that they are scraped phrases and sentences. Anyone reading even one article can see it makes no sense, was all scraped from multiple sources and yet they allow these posts to stay up with graphic videos.

automattic . com 's online form wants 1 at a time and it took forever to get through 49 of those 145. I found a line on the page that said they preferred email and I gave it to them full barrell. They didn't say individual emails for each report, so I spread the other 90 plus over 9 emails because I had to cite which phrases were scraped, show them the URL it was scraped from and many of the wordpress.com sites had multiple phrases from awordlover's hubs.  7 hubs, more than 2100 scraped references on 145 urls.  More than 7 hours of making sure I had the right phrases lined up with the right urls.

Today I got 48 emails from wordpress.com that they removed 48 of the 49 I cited on their automated form on their website.  On the emails, I have received 20 so far this morning that have been removed of the over 90 I meticulously detailed for them.

I googled Anne DiGeorge and besides her hubs, the DMCA's I have been filing, I found her name mixed into these garbage posts on wordpress.  Why they want to scrap her name I don't understand. Some articles had content from her other hubs, but some only had her name. What does that do with keyword stuffing and making the article attractive for Google to crawl it and rank it?

So,  no I don't enjoy having to do this part of writing. If i were a famous author, there would be "staff" to do this and you know? I'd gladly pay them, because they are worth their weight in gold to me. So much time wasted on this.  If her hubs were not so popular, I'd close her account, but they make money and get good view counts. It will be a decision which has to be made sometime soon, because the other 2 moderators left because they didn't want to file the many DMCA infringements since they are so time consuming.  In February I filed over 40. In March over 200 so far and it's only 3/21/2014. Is it really worth it? Has anyone filed a few DMCA's and feel that it is worth it, or do you find yourself checking for and filing about stolen work more often?

I tend to file occasionally (when I do a full blown check). But WriterFox or Wrylilt pointed me in the right direction about getting their Adsense accounts reported. I have done a bit of reading on the issue and apparently duplicated content should always rank lower than the original (though we know sometimes this is not the case). If any content is ranking above the original, we can file it here: http://searchengineland.com/google-scraper-tool-185532

Whatever you do, DO NOT DELETE HUBS. This issue isn't going away any time soon, and I believe that Google itself will need to do something about it soon. You need to remain the established author of the hubs, with proof they were published on certain dates. Do not give in in this war!!!

I look forward to the day when the web is cleaned up of duplicate content and our hubs perform as intended. This day is getting closer, so do not despair and keep all of your hubs!

Don't forget, there is also a chance to sue and get a multimillion dollar payout from anyone who steals your work and makes a huge profit out of it......

I appreciate your sentiment about not deleting hubs, but if and when I shut down awordlover's account, the hubs will be deleted as well.  No sense leaving them here as they won't be making money when they have been duplicated all over the world multiple times. You are right, I am very disheartened to see so much of this going on, and the other 2 moderators of awordlover's account flew the coop because of this. They didn't want to put the time into filing DMCA because every week there are at least 3 hubs stolen. Some don't even show up in search results for months. I'm still finding some that were copied last August and didn't show up in a search yesterday, but they are there today.

This one in particular is especially annoying because Aaron Wong knows how this works on HP and still he copied all those hubs. It is a losing battle. As for suing?  You can't get blood from a stone. These people are stealing quality content because 1) they can't write their own and 2) they want to make money. If they have nothing, when you sue you get nothing. I've been there already and it doesn't always work out the way it should.

We need to get HP to get on top of this so this site does not go down the drain.  The other forum with kakun which is an exact copy of Hubpages, has been up and running since last year and Hubpages didn't know about it either. We need better detection tools so we can get on this sooner. Or we need HP to protect us better somehow, I don't know how.

I understand. But if you delete your hubs, then the copiers get to be the new "original authors" of the pieces. I wouldn't do it myself, no matter how far the hubs lose traffic. Just keep them, don't chase duplicates if you don't want to, but I wouldn't be handing them my hubs on a silver platter.

One day, I do think this issue will be sorted, otherwise there will be no new original content published on the web.

I won't delete the hubs, Suzanne. If I close the account, then I'll delete, maybe, I don't even know for sure if I will do that.  It is too boggling to make a decision that I can stick to.

Have you checked your account lately? HubPages added a feature a few months ago that shows up if a hub has been copied. I'm not sure if it works all the time, but it has shown up on a few of mine. I've followed the links given to me, found them, and either filed a complaint or asked that the hubs be removed. Have you looked to see if your hubs are also flagged this way on your account page?

RachaelOhalloranposted 10 years agoin reply to this

Yes, I keep looking to see that symbol that awordlover's hubs have been copied but I have never seen it. I wondered how foolproof the system is.  The only flags I ever see are for broken links because hubbers delete their hubs that awordlover linked to when she wrote the articles long ago.  I unlink, then I find a site off of Hubpages to link to so there are not so many broken links. Hubbers deleting hubs makes it a problem for hubbers who linked to them. The flag I see the most is the skull.

TY merej99, I see billybuc's work there, and more friends and it's not fair. Though some don't care, those who look for a check from HP should care because this siphons off their traffic. Visitors don't have to come here if they can read it there. sad

And, at 24 hours now, still no replies from him, blogger or google.

I have absolutely no sympathy for this kind of behaviour and would have thought it was a bannable offence. Aaron Wong, you are the biggest kind of $&*% and you can look forward to your Adsense account being closed, your websites taken down and also any lawsuits which can be obtained against you being obtained. Be afraid, you idiot.

When I put in a search for "Are Patients Being Diagnosed?" yours comes up on the first page, awordlover. That's usually how it happens when hubs get copied. Your shows up, anyway. I'm not sure how much it hurts traffic, but I'm sure it does. I wouldn't take yours down, though.

The only way I will be deleting awordlover's hubs is if I close this Hubpages account due to excessive copying. That is the only thing that has me so ticked off right now because I'm not writing anything on my new account. I'm not uploading anything on awordlover's account because I'm working too hard filing DMCA against wordpress, experience project, blogger, and foreign entities.  Nothing creative is getting done, if you know what I mean.  It is all covermyass work or goaftersomeone'sass work. and I'm tired, that's all.  lol  don't mean to be a crank. sorry.
Even though the hub comes up first in an exact wording search, it has only 20 views as of yesterday and it was published March 6.  awordlover's hubs get that many views in several hours. I knew something was wrong, but was so busy filing with wordpress that I put off googling to find out why until yesterday.
Her Change of Life Menopause was just taken yesterday so I'm filing on that tonight.
Her MS hubs all have been copied and I will work on those tomorrow.
I will leave them all until awordlover's account is closed, if I close it.  If HP puts something in place to help us so we don't have to do so much work, or so newbies don't run for the door, then I'll reconsider. I'm just tired. lol sorry

Thanks again for making us aware of this awordlover and I 'm sorry that you have to go through all of this. I only had 3 articles on the list, it must be so time consuming and frustrating to be doing this with so many. I hope you get it sorted.

I am getting really sick and tired of all these people who find it correct to just copy+paste our content - content, that usually took us days or weeks to create and fully research.
No matter if the stolen content is published in another language, it is still stolen. And the worst thing is: I feel like HubPages isn't paying too much attention to 'save' their users' work - and time as well. Spending hours and hours with filing complaints does not really work at all - for example one of my articles was entirely copied to an adult (!) site months ago... I 've filed tons of complaints and tried everything I could, but the article is still up there and I can still see the notification on my hub as well...
So the copied content is still indexed by Google...

Please HP, for the sake of your contributors, do something!

I wish it was Blogger because he'd be gone by now. This is his own website and it is harder to deal with. There are some sites I've reported and still waiting on Google to do something - over 7 months now. At this point, if they do, ok, and if they don't, then ok too. I'm too tired of chasing down these people who have no regard for copyrights.  Aaron Wong is just one in a long line of them. HP won't remove him probably because when he copies content, he is not posting it here, so in their eyes, he hasn't violated their TOS.  Because he is posting it off site. Not their problem. sad
