The "working" thing is pissing me off.

   I rarely compose here, usually I use word or something...today i was putting another piece of crap together, but here at HP.  the working symbol thing kept popping up in my face.  is that needed?

      I'm not quite sure why, but something about the way you worded this makes me absolutely crack up.  I suppose because I felt the surprise too.  It used to be much smaller, but it was there.  I think it's to make sure you don't overclick thinking that it's over when it's not.  That's my take.  I don't know.  I suppose perhaps standing back a little while your writing might be good.  As you can see from my one eye I have depth perception problems so it hasn't bothered me.

   Same here pest. I was writing away, and the rotating symbol fired up every few seconds.I wonder if that is why hubpages is taking so long to load. I have found hubpages pretty slow lately. Maybe teething problems with the new interface?

   It was irritating me too, what I also noticed on the last 2 articles published is that I have many readers and my scores are going down and not up, that has never happened before. Am I losing my mind?? First it goes up and then down, maybe I was up to late last night. On one of them the comments are equal to the people so I am a bit confused, maybe I pissed someone off. I have been doing that lately.

    I agree. It's a little much. I thought I was going crazy when I was editing a hub because it kept popping up. I thought something was wrong.
    
    The darkened backsplash with the HP symbol when saving hubs and within the forums when editing and submitting threads is irritating, as well.
